I Want To Report A Very Rude And Obnoxious Cashier How Do I Give Input Someone Can Then Teach Her

If you smelled pot coming from someone's house would you call the police? Could the police do anything?

Sometimes yes we can. It all depends.Back in January, 2017 a neighbor called that she could smell the odor of burning marijuana emanating from her next-door neighbor’s apartment. We responded to the location. It wasn’t my call. I was acting as the cover officer. As soon as we got out of our cars we could smell the marijuana. Last January was very cold and snowy and everyone had their doors and windows closed and the odor was still very strong — that’s pretty impressive. So we made contact with the calling party and she directed us to the right apartment. We knocked on the door like the gentlemen we are and, incredibly, the door opened. We were slammed in the face by a wall of marijuana smoke. I could barely see that there were three men in the room behind the homeowner who had thoughtfully opened the door to us. They were smoking a couple really pretty, and expensive, glass bongs (Oregon is next door and there is a head shop just a little ways across the state line). They were all in their late fifties and just kicking-back watching the NFL AFC Championship game (New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers), smoking some grass, drinking beer and eating pizza. The responsible officer explained to the occupants why we were there and asked if they were indeed smoking pot. They said yes they were and let us into the apartment when we asked if we could come in (the other officer and I are big believers in the soft approach first). We confiscated the bongs and pot, and the primary officer issued them a summons for possession of a controlled substance. The homeowner also got a ticket for possession of drug paraphernalia (the two bongs which he stated were his). They were all nice guys and it was obvious they were very experienced pot smokers. I kept the door open since the air was so heavy with pot smoke. It was making me a little sick actually. We thanked them for their cooperation (I felt like we were British cops) and left. The whole call was very civilized.

If someone begs you for food in a restaurant, what will you do?

If somebody begs me for food in a restaurant, I will buy them a meal or give them a complimentary meal, assuming I still managed a restaurant. When I still worked in fast-food, I encountered many people who wanted food. Some were dishonest people who were just looking for a free meal, some were people who were genuinely in need. After sometime, by the virtue of having worked in many locations across the city, I came to have an intuitive feel for the real and fakes. The fakes: they toured around restaurants in the city looking for free food and money. In some cases these were able bodied men who I presume had given up on working for an honest living. One case stands out in my memory. I was just about to close the restaurant for the day when a man came in and requested to see the manager.I came out to the lobby to meet him and he said to me,“my brother, I am very hungry. Please feed me. I have been sick and the medicines I take make me very hungry. If I don’t eat soon, I may faint. I would have bought some food but I don’t have any money and there’s is nothing in my bank account. I came out today to look for work, I got something which I will start tomorrow, but at this moment, I am penniless.”He went on to explain that he was a fine artist who fell sick four months prior with a life threatening disease that ate all his savings.I told him to wait a bit for me. Fortunately, it was around our closing time so I had lot’s of food to hand out to him which would have otherwise gone to wasteI made him a double chicken sandwhich, an extra-large portion of chips, 2-piece Original recipe chicken, and a bottle of water. From my wallet, I took two one thousand naira notes and added to the tray for him. His transport fareHe struck me as a hardworking man down on his luck and I wanted to do as much as I could.I took the tray to the lobby for him, told him to enjoy his meal and to get home safely.Three months later, the company that this man worked for won a large contract and he was kind enough to suggest to his boss that they give us the catering gig. Sadly, it didn't work out, but I appreciated the gesture immensely.I have experienced biting hunger many times before in my life and I know a person can never make sane decisions whilst their stomach rumbles.

Is it illegal to flip someone off?

There is a lot of information available about this on the Internet. For example:Is It Illegal To Give 'The Finger'? Is it illegal to flip someone the middle finger? The US Supreme Court determined that it is freedom of speech and therefore not against he law to give "the finger" to a police officer. However, certain local jurisdictions have rules about swearing in public which can be a misdemeanor. I think the CBS News item summed it up best (see URL, above): "The First amendment protects your freedom of expression, even rude expression. But there are limits. You can’t use your words to incite violence – gestures either – those are fighting words. In general, the gesture isn’t likely to cause a reasonable person to start fighting, but if you couple it with aggressive movement, it could lead to your arrest... you really shouldn’t be arrested for your one fingered salute, that doesn’t mean it won’t cost you legal fees to win a case you could have avoided just by being civil."This pertains to laws in USA. Countries that do not protect freedom of expression have their own laws and guidelines. Also, flipping the finger may not have the same disparaging meaning in certain cultures, but there may be other gestures that have the same or worse meanings. For example, In Brazil, Germany, Russia, and certain other countries around the world, the finger sign  that Americans use for "OK" is a very offensive gesture because it is used to depict a private bodily orifice. In Japan it means "money," and it is commonly used to signify "zero" in France. The V for victory or peace two-fingered salute was made popular by Winston Churchill in England during WWII. However, if you make this gesture with your palm facing inward in Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and several other countries throughout the world, it in essence means "Up yours."
