I Want To See A Movie By Myself

Can you see a PG-13 movie by yourself if your older than 13?

hey guys Im 14 and I'm about to turn 15 in the next two weeks and I was planning on watching Chronicle with my friend who is the same age as me, but will they let me in by myself?

Seeing a movie by myself? is that sad? ?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with going to a movie by yourself.

Personally, I enjoy going to lunch or dinner by myself, even though I am married. I also enjoy movies by myself because I am not distracted by what the other person does or reacts.

While I love being married, I truly enjoy being by myself sometimes too. There is nothing wrong with that, especially for woman. It's a very appealing trait to men- independence.

Enjoy the movie!

How can I go to a movie alone?

I watched Barfi alone. Let me give some background info. I am a divorcee and stay along with my parents. Most of my relatives have no knowledge about this and my family wants to protect me from their comments. Divorces are unheard of in my community. People just end up giving me advise of how I should impress my husband and go that extra mile even if it means giving dowry. So saturday a relative was visiting home. I had to step out during that period so I got a little courageous and  checked online for tickets to watch Barfi. It was jam packed. I still ended up at Forum and started reading a book in CCD. I dont know what prompted me but I went upstairs just to double check if there were any tickets available. I waited for 5 mins, a stranger approached me and asked if I want to buy two tickets for barfi. I was really happy but said I am a single person and cant buy both. I was actually debating in my mind if I should just buy both and give the other to some lonely person like me for free. Fortunately he agreed and sold me the single ticket. Here I was all alone in pvr, watching a movie alone for the first time in my life. I was extremely emotional because of how hard my life had become and was also proud of myself that I was brave enough to get out of home and watch a movie by myself. I will never forget that movie. I cried for the entire length of the movie. I would have never done that if I was accompanied by friends or family. After seeing Ranbir struggle through life I started appreciating my life better. I had lost hope but after watching the movie I realised I will also have a happy ending. Will wait for it to come.Edit 1- Thanks a lot everybody for being so supportive. I started appreciating my education only after my marriage sank. I was very happy that I could be independent. My parents would have supported me otherwise as well. I was in chronic depression so went abroad and pursued MS. I came back and have been working in an e commerce company from past 2 years. Many people have written that I should forget past, life goes on. I appreciate that but trust me it is not as easy as it sounds. It is not just you but your entire family which goes through that phase.  I pray that no girl ever goes through such pain especially without committing any mistake.Sharanya Singh and Neelansh Tewari thanks for promoting the answer.

Is it pathetic to go to a movie by yourself?

If that's the case then I guess I am a loser. I actually love going to the movies alone and here are the main reasons why:

- I can go whenever I want to go to the movies and not have to work around someone else's schedule
- I can pick out what movie I want to watch
- I can sit in the theater wherever I want
- I get all the popcorn to myself
- If I want to use both arm rests, then usually I can.
- If I need to use the restroom in the middle of the movie, I don't have tell anyone that I'll be right back
- And, the main reason is....its usually cheaper to go alone too.

Most importantly just go and have fun. Lots of people go to the movies alone. Its not uncommon. Its one of those activities that a person can do with others or alone and it doesn't matter. I usually go alone when I am just needing my alone time to think things over, or not think at all. Good luck and enjoy.

How old for a PG movie?

How old do you have to be to see a PG movie without parental supervision? My reason for asking this question is that a group of my friends and I want to see a PG movie, but some of the friends aren't 13 yet. Do you have to be 13 to see a PG movie by yourself, or do you still have to have a parent with you is all I want to know.

Do you go to the movies alone?

I do and i love going alone. I do like the company of friends but most of the people i hang around with are those really annoying ones who talk and throw popcorn into the crowd. When i watch a movie, i like to get into it and watch it in a peaceful environment. I was talking to my friend the other day and she asked me what i was doing and i said at the movies by myself and she said that she would be too scared to go see a movie by herself. Plus, most of the movies i want to see no one else wants to see it so i just go alone in the end. Does anyone else feel the same way about this?

Is it weird for a girl to go watch a movie alone?

Two years ago, I went to watch Shamitabh alone; my first ever. It was a morning show at Inox movies.I had friends but we did not share the same interest in movies and moreover, they don't like waking up early at weekends just for the sake of a movie. However, I prefer morning shows because of the low rates, less crowd and more time in the day for other activities. So I decided to go alone. And I noticed that :I was laughing more, enjoying myself throughout the movie. There was no one to disturb me during the movie(I hate talking in between).I solely interpreted the movie through my eyes, and understood it better.I was not just happy but ecstatic.Filled with excitement, I told one of my female friends at the office about my experience. She : Hey Bhagwan, Tumhare itne gande din aa gye hai ki akele movie bhi Jana pad raha hai. Bechari tum. Kitni akeli ho gyi ho. (Oh God, you are going through such bad days that you are even going to movies alone. Poor you. How lonely you are!)I stood dumbstruck. That really made me feel miserable for a while, because actually I went alone because I had no company. At that time, the fact that it made me happy seemed to be of no importance.Soon, so many ladies at the office were asking me about it and pitying me. (Yeah, she told everybody about it). After that, I did not go for any movie alone for a year. But I realised that happiness never touched my heart again. So I started going alone to the movies again. I felt the same ecstasy. Recently, I watched Pink, Beauty and the Beast and repeat of Badrinath Ki Dulhania alone. It's not a weird thing, it's a wonderful thing. For being alone and being lonely are two different things. And the first one fills me with happiness.P.S. Do make sure that you ensure your safety. Happy viewing. :)
