I Want To Sell My Sony Vaio Laptop It Is In Warranty Period As I Need Money And Laptop Is In

Sony VAIO Laptop screen got damaged ...?

BestBuy its a realy crap store for Warranty(sorry to say it like that), they sell you a warranty for 20 bucks agains everything, even screen broken, but if you dont buy it they wont help you.

Sadly you will have to contact Sony and tell them ur problem, cuz Bestbuy is not going to do anything, and tell them to replace the broken LCD (mostly when new, they aggre to do it without any cost, but they will only charge you the transport and those things, but not the LCD cost).
If things goes really bad and not even Sony can help you, use the Laptop as a Desktop(just conect a computer screen, mouse and keyboard) because that LCD will cost you 60% of the total cost of the laptop as new. so dont waste your money.

I want to sell my sony vaio laptop,it is in warranty period,as i need money and laptop is in awesome condition?

Put it on Craigslist.

How does the value of a used laptop decrease as a function of age?

The IRS classifies computers as having a 5-year useful life. Using straight line depreciation, it declines in value, or depreciates, 20% per year. One data model, based on fair market value prices for used IT equipment, uses the following estimate of depreciation:Year 1: 20%, year 2: 32%, year 3: 20%, year 4: 12%, year 5: 12%.[For a car, it loses 50% of its value in the first 4 years, but has a useful life of 20 years.]You can find market prices for used laptops on eBay.So, buying a used computer that is 2 years old may lower the acquisition cost by 50%, but still provides 3 or more years of useful service. Or, you can buy 2 identical units that are 2 years old, instead of buying 1 unit that is brand new. Many users do not need an expensive, high-performance computer or the latest technology. It depends on your use. I buy refurbished HP laptops on eBay from reputable sellers for about $200. I replace the hard disk with a 128 GB SSD and add more RAM if needed. I create clone systems, so if one system fails, I can use another one with no down time. Works fine for my small business. My current HP laptop is 10 years old. I gave away a 15 year old Compaq Presario laptop to a person who didn’t have a computer. They use it for email and web browsing and Microsoft Office. It is valuable to them.

My laptop screen is damaged. What should I do and how much will it cost?

The display of your laptop is made from a stack of thin glass sheets with a liquid, literally “Liquid Crystal”, between them. One or more of these glass sheets has cracked in your display. Based on where this one is damaged I’d guess that either something fell on the closed laptop or the lid was closed on a foreign object like an earbud. The bad news is that the LCD panel can’t be fixed by your average joe. Those glass panes have special coatings on them that makes that impractical. You’ll have to replace the entire display panel. The good news is that this isn’t terribly difficult or expensive for most laptops. If you can get the service manual for your laptop it makes this process very easy. For most laptops the procedure is to remove the screen bezel, take the top off the laptop, remove a bunch of screws, disconnect the video cable, install the new panel, and reassemble. One thing to be extremely careful about is that using the wrong screws in the wrong holes in a laptop can cause significant damage. You must have some sort of system to make sure that every screw goes back in the hole it came from. For the LCD panels I’ve had fantastic luck getting replacements from eBay.
