I Want To Take My Septum Piercing Out

Can I take a septum piercing out after only a day if I want it to close?

Tough luck, honey. Septum piercings are one of the piercings that NEVER close. The hole is there to stay. It may reduce itself over time, but it will never close up.In any case, unless it’s too close to the outside of your nose, a septum piercing hole should be completely invisible.

I want to take my septum piercing out!?

The best option is to go back and have it removed by a professional. They're more likely going to be clean and know what they're doing. Removing it yourself can put you at risk of infection, because there will be an open hole in your nose where a lot of bacteria reside. When you get it removed, clean it as if the piercing was there to keep the wound clean.

Should i take my septum piercing out?

hmm, i'd either take it out and get the lip or get one of the rings for it with the two balls on the ends.
but your best bet is take it out and get your lip done.
it would look great.

:)

Can I take out my 5-day old septum piercing?

Unless it has healed fully, or you would like to take it out for good, then no. If it's because you want it to heal up, or you just want to check it or change the jewellery (which you shouldn't be doing at such an early stage!), please see the person who pierced you. In any of these instances, it's always best to see your piercer as they will be able to remove or change the jewellery much more comfortably than you can. If you want to take it out to clean it, please don't! You shouldn't be messing with a new piercing aside from GENTLY cleaning it with warm, not hot, saline solution twice daily. Messing with a new piercing can cause infection and piercing bumps. If it starts to dry up around the piercing hole and get white 'crusties' (bits of dead skin and dried excreted liquid) building up, don't worry. It'll soften over time and flake off, leaving a lovely healed piercing! Don't ever try and move the piercing in and out of the hole while these bits of skin are holding it in place. You'll only tear the skin and start the healing again, and this can cause bleeding and, again, infection. No matter what, please see your piercer and always be careful!

Taking out my septum piercing?

Your peircing is still sore because you have to leave it up and hidden when ur at home all the time and that agravate the peircing and cartilage more so then leaving it down all the time. I wouldn't be to worrie about it my sisters cartilage still hasn't healed and is sore and its been like 3 months the peircer guy said it depends on the person. to have it taken out it's best to get it done at the shop that's what my friend did it will minimize the pain from trying to take it out yourself. I love septum peircings so i would advise to tough it out a little longer and see if it gets better.

Taking out my septum piercing?

This actually happened to be when I was changing my jewelry.
Are you sure you tried twisting BOTH the balls, both ways?
Because it may just be you twisted it really hard, and now it's insanely difficult to screw off the balls.
If it's this kind of jewelry:

All I can tell you is to spend all your time tying to screw off the balls.
It's the only way you can remove the ring.
Just make sure your hands are dry and steady and just keep trying.

If your hands are sweaty, wear gloves, use a tiny piece of cloth to get a grip on the balls, or put rubbing alcohol on your fingers, it drys your hands. :b
Ask someone to help you, and realllllllly try to go to a piercer if you can.

I have had my septum pierced for about 27 months now and I want to take it out for about two days to do a cosplay. What would the chances be of my piercing closing up after wearing a ring in it everyday for that long or is it permanent at this point?

There's very little chance of it closing up at this point. As it is right now, taking it off would only make it close up a tiny bit, which wouldn't make much of a difference when putting the jewelry back in.But if you don't want to risk it, you can always get a circular barbell and tuck it into your nose. This is what a coworker of mine does and has done for as long as he has been there (like 2–3 years), and I never noticed until I saw him come in to work before clocking in.Hope this helps!
