I Want To Understand About The Fourth Dimension What Is It

Would a being in the fourth dimension be immortal?

For people around you, you'd be basically immortal; imagine you could travel 1,000 years of their time in 1 second of yours. For the people you left 1,000 years behind, you're essentially immortal and eternal. But in your frame, you would be aging the same way you are today. So you'd die after 80 years or so (whatever your life expectancy is); nothing would change for you.

What is the fourth dimension?

You and I have to define dimension for us to talk about them. There's a lot of different uses, and speculations, and tech babble that goes on.

Most simple definition, a dimension is factor of measurement. Like a 8x11.5 piece of paper has 2 dimensions, and a 6x6x6 cube has 3 dimensions. Whatever we are talking about, as long as we measure the same thing in each direction, or dimension, we are cool.

Just like space around us is 3 dimensions. There is no fourth. I dare anyone to measure an inch in any other direction but the 3 we all have. A lot of people call time the fourth dimension, but that measures something different. Space is actually space-time by the standards of Einstein's model. Time just is, along side space...it is, just is. It passes. Time is our observation of entropy, not space. So, although it is a measured dimension, it should be referred to as anything but the fourth, as not to confuse it with the other 3.

Now, we have more about dimensions to come. You have heard of alternate dimensions. That's some kind of speculation that everything exists parallel somewhere else outside the universe, or even aside the universe. Just don't worry about those speculations.

Also, we have theoretical physics, and the theory of multiple dimensions that come with string theory, M theory, etc... Basically, those speculations say that there are more physical dimensions aside our 3 which exist, but we cannot measure. The only thing important for you here and now to take away from this is that NONE of them say there are 4 dimensions in the universe. Anything beyond our 3 has yet to be properly discovered and labelled, but it is well assumed that there are several more to eventually discover and label.

So...any one of the suspected other physical dimensions of the space-time universe COULD be the fourth, or fifth, or sixth, etc...depending on how things unfold.

P.S. No one has ever set up a system labeling our 3 dimensions as first, second, and third yet. There's a project for ya'...

Why can't I understand the 4th dimension? Am I stupid?

Actually it is not at all difficult to understand the concept of the fourth dimension.Just try to draw a straight line in the air between a point A and a point B with the tip of your finger. The moment you move your finger from the point A the tip of your finger revolves around the earth at the speed of 0.25 ° per minute (360° per day) and the point A also drifts away from its original position at the same speed. Not only the tip of your finger has revolved around the axis of the earth it has actually also concurrently moved around the sun along with the earth at a speed of 29.789 km per second as shown below. So, de-facto, the tip of the finger has traced a path that resembles a cylindrical spiral as shown below which as you know, is 3 dimensional. So what should have been a straight line took a 3-dimensional shape. If a two dimensional object could become a 3- dimensional object just imagine would a 3-dimensional object not become a 4 dimensional object in space?A two dimensional thing remains two dimensional only as long as the origin of the coordinates remains stationary. But if the origin may be revolving around some axis which may be also moving along an elliptical path just like earth it adds one extra dimension to a straight line. By the same logic as a two dimensional object becomes a 3-dimensional object it stands to logic that a 3-dimensional object should become 4-dimensional object, isn’t?Now I shall explain about something having five dimensions. As you know the earth does not simply revolve around its axis or moves around the sun, its axis also wobbles around in the space in the following manner. So it would add one more dimension to it. The same straight line would look like a 4-dimensional object now.You must be also aware that even sun up-heaves and down-heaves above and below the galactic plane as shown below, which would make a 5- dimensional object, look like a 6-dimensional object. But the story does not come to an end here. The sun also revolves around the black hole of our galaxy same way as the earth revolves around the sun.So, obviously it would make even a 6-dimensional object look like a 7- dimensional object.

Can you use psychedelics to better understand the 4th demension(4D)? Or if anything is beyond that?

I took a philosophy class a long while ago where the instructor set a chair on a desk and said:

"From there in your chair, Prove to me this is here."

That was before cell phones mind you.

The simple fact of the matter is - exercising that noggin of yours by indulging in fiction of ANY kind and in particular - fantasy - will help you understand the 4th and greater dimensions.

Psychedelics offer you tactile feedback to the 'fictional' realms of delusion and hallucination, which while I can absolutely say have been highly important to me and my life, I can say without hesitation that they are not for most people.

Virtual reality offers just as much potential confusion for the mind, and while there's separation of the mind and the 'illusion of fiction' by the technology, that separation comes at cost - that cost being - just who created that technology and what is their agenda?

Psychedelics offer an alternative perspective for the same illusory worlds. So yes, this CONTRAST can ABSOLUTELY provide you a better perspective than through technology alone.

Is there anything beyond that?

To you, you're wanting to perceive space in three dimensions and time, right?

I'm many many many dimensions removed from that myopic view. this doesn't make me superior. It just means I perceive infinite variations of time and space and realities themselves. For me, the multiverse is very very real and I interact with it daily.

The trip of a hallucination is still a controlled trip. Just a little less controlled than technology you can touch and feel.

But to be clear. psychedelics are STILL technology.

Technology for the mind.

What does it mean when someone calls you fourth dimension?

It means that the person who used that term doesn't know much about the English language, because it doesn't make sense to anyone, not just to you. I suppose if he/she called you 'fourth dimensional', then you could make a case that he/she was saying you're odd, or different, or obscure, but calling you 'fourth dimension' makes zero sense.

What is 4th dimension and please answer in very simple language I am in class 6?

There is a book called Flat Lands, try and read that, it will help you in grasping the idea. I will try to explain as simply as I can.Imagine you are living on a two dimensional world, the surface of water that is. In that world there is no concept of a 3D object. In that world you will only be able to understand 2D geometry, for example a square or a circle or for that matter any polygon as long as it is 2D.Now imagine a sphere, which is a 3D object, passing through the 2D world, kind of like when you are submerging a ball in a bucket of water. Because the surface of the water is 2D you will only be able to see a circle at the place where the sphere intersects the 2D plane. Now, while living in that world how would you grasp 3D geometry? When the ball passes through the surface of water, you will observe a circle that gradually increases in size, and then starts reducing, from that you can get a concept of sphere. Result is while you are still in a 2 D world you can grasp the 3D concept. Similarly while we live in a 3D world, its possible for us to understand how a 4D object would look like if it passes through our 3D world and we can use mathematics to understand it. Following is the picture of a tesseract, a 4D cube. With all tha said, it is important to understand that the 4th dimension of time is different from 4D geometry. The fourth dimension of time can be easily explained by a simple example. Let's say I invite you to dinner. I give you 3 numbers representing floor number (hight), longitude and latitude of my apartment. Question: would you be able to come to my place with that information only? Answer: Yes. But would I be available at my place to entertain you at dinner? May be not. So only floor number, longitude and latitude is not enough for us to meet, I also have to tell you at what time to meet. So 4 numbers are needed for our dinner to take place, floor number, longitude latitude and time, each of them a dimension, that is 3 dimensions of geometry and one dimension of time.I hope all this makes sense to you :).

How do we know that the 4th Dimension is time and not another space like length, width, height or depth?

You are putting the cart before the horse. It's not that we somehow discovered that there is a fourth dimension and then looked for something that might fill this role. No, it is exactly the other way around. We always (well, for centuries anyway) knew that in order to label an event, we needed to know its coordinates in space as well as the moment in time. (If you want to meet someone, you need to tell them where you will be but also when.) The discovery was that spatial coordinates and time are more intricately related than previously thought, together forming a "pseudo-Euclidean manifold", in other words, four-dimensional spacetime.
