Uninstall Google Chrome?

Just got this from google.com;

Windows instructions
You can remove Google Chrome like any other Windows program. Follow these steps:

Go to Start > All Programs > Google Chrome > Uninstall Google Chrome.
If you want to delete your user profile information, like your browser preferences, bookmarks, and history, select the "Also delete browser data" checkbox.
Select the default browser you'd like to use.
Click OK in the confirmation prompt.
The uninstall process will begin.

You can also use Windows's Control Panel to remove the browser. If you're having problems uninstalling the browser using these methods, try manually uninstalling the browser instead.

Did the browser come packaged with other software on your computer or via Google Pack? If so, your version of Google Chrome may be installed system-wide and you'll need to log in to a user account with administrative rights on your computer to uninstall the browser. Uninstalling a system-wide version of Google Chrome removes the browser for all user accounts on your computer.

Mac instructions
Go to the folder containing Google Chrome.
Drag Google Chrome to the Trash icon in the Dock. You'll need administrative rights if it's installed in your Applications folder. To remove the Google Chrome icon from your Dock, simply drag it out of the Dock with your mouse.
Linux instructions
Go to Applications > Debian > Applications > System > Package Management > Synaptic Package Manager.
Search for "Google Chrome" in the list of packages.
Select the "Google Chrome package" checkbox.
To completely uninstall (including configuration files), select "Mark for Complete Removal." To uninstall while saving your preferences, select "Mark for Removal."
Click Apply.
Select Google Chrome from the "To be completely removed" menu.
Click Apply.

'Control Panel' as such is not available in google chrome. However you can accomplish all your needs through the chrome 'settings' option, which can be accessed from drop down menu of the top right corner of the browser.Alternatively, type chrome://settings/ in the omnibox.

I have uninstalled Google Chrome but still some files have its Icon ?

i don't know what they are talking about ccleaner is a traces eraser it wont delete left over files on a hard drive the only way to completely remove all the files is to go directly into the hard drive and go file by file until you find them all and remove them

my computer> c drive> program files

or you can get a program like system mechanic were its job is to go into the hard drive and find missing links or incorrect hard drive files and it will find them for you and then delete them but you always run the risk of it missing some

good luck

I cant uninstall google chrome. It says close all chrome windows even though none is open.?

I can only give you a general answer as I use Mozilla Firefox 3.0 now, (binned IE 8) but try closing any windows you have open for any programs, including Google Chrome.
Then go to your control panel, add/ remove programs and try to remove it from there.
If this doesn't work, (keep all your programs closed) and select "All Programs", find Google Chrome and see if they have an "uninstall program. Select this and see if it works. Make sure you Re-boot after doing this.
Otherwise go to their website and get "Help" from the site re: uninstalling Chrome from there.

Sorry I can't be more explicit and good luck with it.

I would like to uninstall/delete google chrome browser?

In case you just launch the Windows' or its default uninstaller, re-install it. 2nd, you may save your profile settings for it, then you run the 2 Uninstaller I referred above to automatically remove it; and follow the video guide below to thoroughly clean the remains related with it --remember that you take a clean backup of Windows Registry Editor.

Good luck, thx :)

I'd like to install Google Chrome...How do I uninstall my current web browesers?(Firefox& Internet Expolrer)?

plenty relies upon on how previously you put in IE 8. in case you have put in different apps considering which you put in it, a device restoration is probable no longer the suitable path - except you do no longer suggestions reinstalling the apps returned. To be trustworthy, a device restoration is probable the tidiest thank you to ascertain your issues, because it takes your device back to a state ahead of IE 8 taking place, and would not depart all the registry settings/documents on the HDD that attempting to manually do will - or maybe utilizing utility. circulate to device restoration and discover the date whilst IE 8 become put in - it might seem in a itemizing of apps once you click the date. Now circulate to a factor basically ahead of that date and you will circulate back to IE 7.

Google Chrome does not show on my computer. It wont let me uninstall. Why?

Google Chrome wotked great for me for a long time. Then I decided I would refresh my bitdefender security one day as i do sometimes. This process removes bitdefender from my computer and reinstalls it fresh. Upon reinstall of bitdefender it stops loading at 25%. So I was going to start over. I rebooted and when i came back on my Google Chrome was very limited and very different. Then a window came up and said something like "The system administrator has determined the Chrome wont be on this computer and at that second changed every icon I had with Chrome on it to Explorer icons. Now Im trying to understand the instructions on Googles website to uninstall then reinstall it and I cant because its nowhere to be found on my computer. When I go for just an install, I get error code 3 which is cant load chrome when u already have chrome. What do you think?
