I Was Arm Wrestleing An My Arm Made Two Popping.noises Between My Elbow An Shoulder And Now It

How do people sometimes get broken arms from arm wrestling?

There are several different arm fractures associated with arm wrestling, but the most common is a humeral fracture. What that means is that your upper arm (the bone between your elbow and your shoulder) breaks.Other times, it is the bone/bones in your forearm that break. Why do arm fractures happen so frequently when arm-wrestling, and why do they seem to occur most frequently around the elbow/upper arm region?Because the goal of arm-wrestling is to force your opponent’s hand down, and in order to do so you have to rotate your arm inwards.I’m assuming you like to win. As with most people who are trying to win at arm-wrestling, you plant your elbow into the table firmly, and flex your biceps and your shoulders to prevent them from moving.Since your shoulder is close to your body, it isn’t difficult for you to keep it from moving.Resulting in this:Which means that fractures occur most frequently around and at the high stress areas. Duh.But why do arm bones break?Your upper arm (humerus) and your forearm bones (radius and ulna) are long bones — they are long and skinny. Such bones are more resistant to compression forces (like when you do a handstand) than torque forces (like when you arm wrestle).Think about it: when you want to break a stick, you wouldn’t try to crush it like you would a can. You break it by bending it in the middle. That’s torque. And that’s what you’re doing to your arm when you arm-wrestle.Which is why we get a steady supply of YouTube videos of drunk people snapping their arms trying to arm-wrestle.

What types of injuries can you get arm wrestling??

i arm wrestle this person on the plain air,, and it felt like my arm fell of a place and it hurt really bad and i had to pop it back in place. Now today 2 weeks later right when it was getting better i messed it up again paying basketball and it felt like my arm was gonna fall and i poped it back in place and it hurt like hell. so should i see a doctor or should i let it heal with ice. And what kind of injurie is it??

I was arm wrestling a very strong friend when I heard a loud pop. Very sore on medial side of my elbow?

Tendons move out of place when you use a joint. Sometimes it makes a pop noise when the tendon returns to normal position. In your case, it may have involved trauma to the tendon or tendon sheath, which involves inflammation (tenosynovitis or tendinitis), and some swelling and pain. Just take it easy while it recovers, and if it continues to bother you, have a doctor evaluate it.

In UFC matches, why don't fighters immediately break bones instead of applying pressure? Wouldn't it end the fight faster and prevent the opponent from escaping the bar/lock?

You aren't watching enough UFC (or other MMA) fights. Fighters are in there to finish the fight, be it by knockout, choke, or breaking limbs. Fighters, when grabbing a submission, try to end the fight as quickly as possible. They aren't gently applying pressure in a real match. It is the duty of the referee and the fighter on the receiving end of a submission to stop the fight (ref) or tap out(fighter) before a limb is broken. In most cases, a fighter on the receiving end of a submission usually has a few seconds before he realizes he is not getting out and submits, with the ref stopping the fight before any more damage is done. However, sometimes the ref doesn't stop it in time or the fighter doesn't tap until it is too late.It is ONLY the fault of the attacking fighter if he continues his attack AFTER the ref attempts to stop the fight. This is what happens when someone doesn't submit before the submission is completed:UFC HW Frank Mir breaks Tim Sylvia's arm (video)Shinya Aoki (in a less than sporting display) after breaking Mizuta Hirota's armvideo of the break (~1min):Sakuraba breaks Renzo Gracie's armvideo of the break:UFC Women's 135 pound champ Rhonda Rousey breaking Miesha Tate's armvideo of the break:

Do I need to visite a doctor because I have cracking on my left elbow when I do pushups or I extend my arm?

Thanks you dear for your request. Yes I think you should go to doctor. But if you fell too pain then, take a hot towel and put it on your cracking elbow. Make sure the towel is not too hot. This may reduce you pain. But you must visit doctor. Doctor will suggest you a batter solution. I think doctor will suggest you forplaster your elbow so that you left hand get some relax and your cracking part fix quickly and may be doctor will suggest you for taking some calcium medicine., which also help to fix your cracking elbow. If I say anything wrong please forgive me.I will pray for you, so that you will get well soon.Thank you.

Does an omoplata dislocate the shoulder?

I agree, whether the guys in the post want to believe it or not... It's very common for a fight to go to the ground and if someone takes you down or knocks you down, you better know how to defend yourself from getting your face pounded in.... which is why learning how to fight off your back is important to learn. The omoplata will definitely dislocate the shoulder and will probably tear ligaments/tendons/muscles... You don't see too many fighters finish fights in MMA with an omoplata because sweat becomes an issue// it's easy to slip out// roll out of// of etc... but with a gi or with street clothes on against an untrained guy, I could see an omoplata coming in handy. Like you said, worst case scenario you have a top position on the guy.

Why does my right arm's muscle, above the elbow, move by itself?

It sounds like you may be having an isolated muscle twitch, especially if the twitching does not make your whole arm move or tremor. Isolated muscle twitches are very common, and they are usually caused by fatigue or muscle exertion. Therefore, most people will notice them after vigorous exercise or when they have not slept for a long time. In these cases, they tend to go away after resting properly or giving yourself a few days off from exercising. It would be unusual for an isolated muscle twitch like this to be a sign of a serious medical problem. However, if you are having twitching in multiple different muscles of the body, or if you have a more generalized tremor or any evidence of trouble with muscle strength or with coordination, these might be symptoms of a more serious muscle or nerve problem that would require medical evaluation. Regardless, having this issue checked out by your primary care doctor would be a good idea. They can take a look at the affected area and make sure that there is nothing that you need to be worried about going on!

Is it easy to break an arm of a skinny person using jiu jitsu armbar?

To answer your question directly...No, it's not easy to break someone's arm (skinny or otherwise) using an armbar.I'll elaborate...It's important to note that the purpose of the armbar is not to break the arm. Rather, its purpose is to cause the hyperextension and dislocation of the elbow joint. In jiu jitsu (and related grappling disciplines), the various techniques are not designed to attack bones; they are designed to attack joints (elbow, knee, wrist, ankle, shoulder, etc.). The reason is simple... bones are strong. They are unlikely to break by applying force over a fulcrum, as is done with an armbar. However, the joints of bones are weak and easy to manipulate in this manner.Based on my experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and in life generally, I would argue that the dislocation of the elbow joint is a more severe injury to sustain the a broken arm. Granted, this is a generalization and not always true. But, in most cases, a dislocated elbow joint is a very serious injury that often causes permanent damage and difficulties in the future. On the same note, a broken arm can often be a minor injury that heals quickly (again, this is a general statement), especially if the arm was broken using an armbar. As unlikely as it is to fracture someone's bone using an armbar, it is even more unlikely that the resulting fracture is severe enough to cause permanent injury and an extended healing process. I participated in a grappling tournament over two years ago and had a match in which my opponent submitted me with an armbar. He applied the technique very quickly and with great force, and I was forced to verbally submit. It was so fast the I didn't have time to physically tap out with my hand (I screamed "tap, tap, tap"). My elbow was not dislocated, but it was severely hyperextended. My left arm was completely useless for the next week, and I wasn't able to train at normal intensity for a month. To this day, over two years later, my elbow aches every morning and is considerably less flexible than before. When stretching, it often pops and produces odd noises. Like I said, my elbow wasn't even dislocated. I can only imagine the problems that a complete dislocation would cause.
