Why is human brain constantly looking for some kind of input? Like it's hard to stay in silence for short time and think about "nothing"?

even when you are thinking about nothing, the brain is thinking about something! The brain is constantly making new connections,storing information,sending signals to your organs and receiving signals from billions of sources with in your body, but a majority of those it does SubConsciously, a large part of its resources goes to motor function, and external sensory input(what you see,hear,smell etc etc) with out that external sensory input you fall alseep, but even while you sleep your brain is working, in fact it works even harder when your sleeping, processing the input it received for the span of time you were awake, then you have the amazing process and resource extensive process of storing what its processed into memories. but before it can do that, it has to go through all the new information and decide whats relevant and worth keeping as a memory, and what isnt and that process is VERY resource extensive. there is only 1 single thing the brain does completely on its own and thats dump its waste (dead cells). i have a condition that the end result of it is my brain skips the process of deciding what information to convert to memory and what to dump, and converts all sensory input into memory. when i was younger it was like having 50 million radio stations all broadcasting a different program at max levels in head when i tried to sleep, i still require a deprivation chamber up to 3 days a week to limit the amount of information my brain has to convert! Its a lot worse then it sounds
