I think you're referring to the popular Russian folk song KALINKA (pronounced ka-leen-ka). The title translates as "A Little Snowball Tree". This is Rosa Eshkenazi a Jewish singer from Istanbul performing in Greek and TurkishAnd for a less "hard core" version this is Greek singer Eleutheria Arvanitaki performing a song by an Armenian Ara Dinkjian back to back with a traditional song. hometown became my favourite song since i first listened to it, and i was wondering if anyone knew any indie music that sounded like it. the song gave me this nostalgic feeling from the 80s, especially during the guitar part in the chorus which i love so much (even though i was born in 2001). it also gave this dreamy vibe that is similar to midnight city by m83 and hinnom, tx, by bon iver. thanks in advance.

I guess you mean the orchestral suite by Camille Saint-Saëns.Personally, I love it.When Saint-Saëns composed it, he left orders for it not to be published until after his death. And since then it has become one of his most popular pieces.I particularly enjoy the segment entitled “Aquarium” but I enjoy the whole thing. I have a couple of CD’s which include it, and I always enjoy when it comes on the radio.

Based on my playlist,I absolutely love soothing effect songs and bands.Most of them I discovered by accident but then they got stuck.I will mention some of my favourite singers and personal favourites.Damien Rice-I found this guy on youtube suggestion and absolutely love his soft voice and weird realistic lyrics . Under the tongue Is my personal favourite.Jeff Buckley-The first song I heard of him was Hallelujah, and since then I am in love with his voice and amazing guitar skills. other personal favourites -Lilac wine, Last goodbye, Lover you should've…, GraceMumford and sons-personal favourites- Tompkins square park, Ghosts that we knewOh wonder -I don't know why they aren't famous.
