I Work In Canada Work Permit Visa Can I Buy Lottery Ticket

How can I apply for the Canadian visa lottery?

Canada has nothing like the diversity lottery, or any lottery for immigration.Canada is looking for the best and brightest, we have a points based system.Immigration and citizenship

In USA can a lottery be won by non US citizen or non green card?

There is no reason in federal law why you would need to be a citizen or lawful permanent resident to play or win a state-run lottery, and it's likely that a state that makes such a rule is in violation of the federal law that prohibits a state from discriminating on the basis of nationality, citizenship, or immigration status. The reason why they want a green card is because the lottery agency needs a federal tax ID because the winnings from the lottery are subject to US tax. If you win a US-based lottery and are not a "US resident for income tax purposes" (see the Internal Revenue Code), then you will have to pay a raft of additional taxes out of the winnings as the US taxes US-sourced income earned by a nonresident when it leaves the United States. It's likely that, in this situation, the regional lottery disbursement offices cannot handle the transaction, and you'll have to go to the main operational office, with your attorney and other documentation, to sort out all the legal and tax consequences.

What are the benefits of a DV (Diversity Visa) after winning the lottery?

If you win the Diversity Lottery, what you win is permanent residency in the US.That permanent residency is not qualified in any way, i.e. once you receive it you can live anywhere you'd like in the US (or its territories), you can work anywhere you'd like (or not at all) - you're an equal-rights US resident (not a citizen, though you might be eligible to apply for that in the future, typically five years later). On the flip side, while the US is trying to enrich its population with diverse, contributing immigrants, the government does not want to increase its expenses in the process. You need to pay all the relevant immigration fees (which are supposed to cover all the USCIS and DOS's expenses in the matter), you might need to prove you won't become a public burden (by showing property, cash-in-hand, employment prospects and/or a sponsor who is willing to vouch for you), be of good character, and so on. The government will not help you with anything, you need to help yourself. You need to find a job, if you want to get into college you should do so on your on (if it's a public one, if you immediately enroll, you'll probably have to pay out-of-state rates), you should get your own health insurance, you need to pay for your own airline ticket and moving costs, you need to find your own place to live, etc.Through the process, the government will try to check whether they believe you can indeed be self-sufficient in your immigration process. If they believe you cannot, they might just drop you, even though you won, and just move on to the next winner. You pretty much have no recourse against such decision, thus your best plan (if you want to immigrate to the US) would be to show yourself in the best light possible, accept that the whole process is your responsibility (practically and financially), and expect no advice, assistance or hand-out from the US government.Good luck!

Esthetician: Canada to USA?

I live in Canada and I want to move to Chicago, IL. I have graduated from an esthetic/spa management course and have my certification/licence.

What would the process of me moving to Chicago be and what would I have to obtain to be eligible to work there?

I am from Afghanistan, and I want to go to Canada for work how much will cost for visa?

You have only one way, “the immigration process”.First, you try your luck here:Immigrate as a skilled worker through Express EntryIf this failed you, then there is ONLY the long and arduous way.Canada accepts immigrants that are young and well educated. I you are, you have a good chance. The entire Canadian immigration process is set up as a do-it-yourself project. Start your process here:Do you want to come to Canada, or extend your stay?Every step is explained and clear. Just answer ALL the questions honestly.Be patient, it takes from one to five YEARS to get a visa. It costs about CAD 2,000 to get. You also need to prove that you have CAD 12,300 for yourself, more for a family, BEFORE you get a visa.Once you get your visa, you must move. That will cost you an additional CAD 5,000 if you bring all your stuff in a 6 m container and about CAD 1,000 each for the airline trip. It all costs money. Save up.There are no shortcuts. Don’t waste your money on agents, lawyers or consultants. All they do is to take your money and some may even delay the process so they can charge you even more.
