I Would Like To Sell My Ps3 But Dont Know How Much I Will Get

Should i sell my PS2 & buy a PS3?

(as far as I know) ALL PlayStation 3 models will play PlayStation One games.

Only PlayStation 3's that offer ***4 USB slots*** have the backward compatibility feature, to play 80-85% of PlayStation 2 games. These include (fat) 20, 40, and 80GB systems. http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=232

These fat PlayStation 3 models:
(I have been told now this does not apply to the 80GB)
-- need a specific software to allow PlayStation 2 games on the system. Here is a YouTube video to show you where the software is located in the PlayStation Store (no charge): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGaIK6hmB5A&feature=related

If you have a PlayStation 2 game that you need to make sure if you can play it on your PlayStation 3, here is a link to help you search: http://us.playstation.com/support/compatiblestatus/index.htm

2015 is a looooooooooooooong time away.

...

You realize you probably aren't going to get as much as you would hope to make a profit of off the other two systems. Although I do recommend you buying a PS3, I advise you to save up for one first. Maybe use the money you make to pay for a couple of PS3 games on top of the 36 games you own? The PS3 is completely worth buying.

...

EDIT: If you already own a 360, I'd be careful with where you are putting your money altogether. I was under the presumption that you only owned the older consoles, maybe an xbox original in there somewhere, but the 360 is an up-to-date system, like the wii. By this I mean in-demand, upgraded, whatever word suits you.

The PS3 is still completely worth buying, but, owning both, idk.

Should I sell my PS3 and get a PS4?

You say you didn't play much so why bother to get the new one, that seems stupid.a PS3 contains a blue ray player and you can plug in a hard drive and watch to shows/ films from them. ps3 is a great media player. Ps4 isn't really a media player. PS3 you can still play online for free and ps4 you must buy psn 12months which is £40.I enjoy my ps4 coz I can take pictures during the game and record videos to upload to YouTube or Facebook. I use my ps4 to play games most days otherwise I dont use it. For you I'd say keep what youve got until the ps4 has gone way down.on a side note the free games you get on ps4 each month are crap, yet the free games on Xbox gold are amazing. My friend got dying light which is an incredible game, that game cost me £20 second hand.

How much can I sell my PS3 for?

Yes my time to shine!! :)Having been a person who has owned 4 ps3′s in the last 4 years and had to resell all of them on kijiji - similar to Craigslist ebay - I feel I can give an estimation. From what I've seen the ps3 resale market is quite terrible. One of the first ps3s I bought was a refurbished one from ebgames, after I couldn't take it back I tried to resell it on kijiji. To shorten the story, along with the other 3 ps3′s I had put on sale over time it would always take at least 3 weeks for me to lock in a solid deal on my ps3, and I would also have to adjust the price even if accessories and games were included. To answer your question I remember I sold a ps3 with 2 controllers, 2 chargers & 8 games for around 130-150 ‘ not 100% sure ‘My advice would be to keep it and enjoy the games you have on it!

What should I do before selling my PS4?

If you are selling your PS4 to someone you do not know or someone you don’t want having your personal information, you will want to reset your PS4 to factory conditions.First things first, I would back up most of your data to an external hard drive. This is so you can either play your digital games you already have downloaded once you get a new PS4 or so you can have it just in case. This would be as simple as plugging the hard drive in via USB in your console and going to where you manage storage on a PS4 and transferring everything over until there is nothing left. With this method, nothing will be left over for your new owner. However, your new owner won’t be able to play any of your digital games since the account YOU own has all of the licenses to play those games.Once you have transferred all of your games and profile info to your hard drive, you will want to disconnect it an proceed to factory reset your PS4. To do this, you will want to go under Settings >Initialization > Restore Default Settings. In doing so, you will wipe the PS4 clean of any of your user data and games, making the PS4 software appear as if it just came out of the box.Hope this helps.

How much less will I have to pay for a new PS4 Pro if I want to exchange my PS3 and all games?

Bro you can sell your PS3 instead of exchanging it for PS4.The best deal would be to put an ad on olx and quikr and sell your PS3 along with a few games. PS3 500 GB costs around 18K in the local market, so you can expect something around 10 to 12K if you are giving away a few games along with it.The rest of the games can be sold separately on olx/quirk, they might fetch you around 300 to 700 Rs per game i.e if you have the game discs in good condition.

Should I keep or sell my PS4?

Nah, hang onto it! Just because you’re finding it hard to save up for games now doesn’t mean you’ll never be able to afford them ever. It’s good that you’re saving for emergencies, but it’s not a sin to put a little money aside for pleasure. Sure, it’ll take a little while to save up, but it’ll be worth it once you’ve got that sweet new game in your hands!Besides, if all else fails, you can always ask for games for your next birthday. If someone was willing to gift you a PS4, surely they’d be cool with getting you a few new games to go with it.Of course, it helps if you buy games that you can really stretch out and enjoy for a long time. Something that takes a long time to beat, has lots to do in it, and has plenty of replay value, so even once you do beat it, you don’t mind going back and playing it over and over again. That way, you make the most of the games you have, and won’t get super bored of them super fast. If only I could think of a game like that off the top of my head… *coughskyrimcough*

How much will a PAWN shop give me for my PS3?

Pawn shops typically don't take consoles or games because they have a hard time moving them. You would do better trying to sell them to a place like Hastings, GameStop, or GameXchange. However if you want to get a good selling price, you will want to sell the system yourself either online, or through a local paper. Resale shops of any kind will give you a quarter to a third of what an item is worth because they have to make money off the item too. Try a local paper, or a place like Craigslist, or Ebay to get the best resale amount. You can also do research and see what similar systems are going for on those sites and set your price accordingly.

Is it worth having a PS3 in 2017 and should I sell it?

No, absolutely useless. their existence is only justified because of the rare gems like Red Dead redemption. even that is because of the exclusivity. I am pretty sure RDR would run better and faster if ported to PC properly. That is to say, abandon this crap, sell it, emerge as a PC gamer. Now, don’t get me wrong, it is not exaggerated fuzz about “PC master race”clean and simple, consoles rip you off. can be an article if to explain the benefits of PC gaming. I advise not to even get a PS4 or any other crap.
