I Writing A Superhero Story But I Dont Know What To Call The People Who Get Turn Into The Monsters

What is the best short superhero story you can come up with?

A dad and his son were playing at home . They both were quite lost and had no clue about the surroundings. The mother was cooking food in the kitchen and was grinning seeing both of them play like this. The child asked his father, "How did Batman and Superman become superheroes? Can I be a superhero? "The father was a bit unsure about the answer and took time to answer the question. After a few moments he said," See I don't know how did they become a superhero because it's a secret. But let me tell you that you are a superhero too."The child in all amazement asked ,"Really?? Am I seriously a superhero? Dad please tell me what kind of superhero am I?"Now the father had another difficult question , but this time it took longer to answer it.  He thought and said, "You are the 'Makehappy man '."The kid with a bit of hesitation and an unsatisfied look asked, "So what superpower do I possess?"Now the father had an answer for this. He said, "No matter how sad someone is you can make them happy with your sweet little smile. Mind you this superpower is instantly taken away if you hurt someone. So you got to be good to all. This superpower will go away in a few years so make as many people happy as you can but keep the superpower as a secret. "The kid was elated . He thought that now he had a significant job and an important role to play. He knew that he had to use his superpower. He did not  wait long.Wherever he went he would go with a smile . When he would see someone sitting in a corner with a sad face, he would appear out of nowhere and come in front of them with a smiling face and how could people not be happy looking at the cute kid with a smile that could volatilize any sadness. He saw people becoming happy when they saw him. He was happy using his superpower to the maximum extent. He also kept it as a secret. He wanted to boast sometimes but he was happy having it. He used to discuss with his dad about the people he made happy . This is how he grew up.But like his dad told him the superpower would fade away one day, it did fade away when he was sad and he needed someone else to make him happy.

Our fascination with comic superheroes is time-tested. Why do we continue to relate to them?

I think it is partly because we are looking for beings that are good and more powerful than we are to protect us from the big bad guys whom we can't fight on our own. Human beings have always liked myths and pantheons of gods and tales of heros. Think of the stories of the Arabian Nights, and the tales of miracles and prophets and things.

Each hero has his or her own appeal. Teenagers could relate to Spider Man because he was a teenager with problems just like them. Everybody who has ever been bullied by some tough guy in a dark alley wants Batman do come and beat him up and hold them and take them away from it all. Who has not wished to be Superman, a man above all other men? Or Wonder Woman, for the ladies.

Comic book writers (good ones) work with the themes their audience wants. In World War II, there were a lot of patriotic heros. I the 70's, Green Arrow and Green Lantern tackled the problems of drug abuse and racism. In later days, some wrirters invented a whole pseduo 'civil rights' theme around supposed 'mutants'.

But there's more. As American civilization had fallen away from traditional religion, we are looking for powerful moral figures who are above us, who will come to rescue us when we need them. When Jimmy and Lois are saying "Where are you, Superman? We need your help!", are they not praying in the most essential sense of the word...? Check out a book called The Gospel According to Superman (I forget the author, but you can find it on line.) And what goes for Superman goes for many other heros as well.

Then there are the anti-heros, not bad guys but flawed good guys, for flawed people, who think that because they themselves are not perfect that there could be no perfect super heroes, either. Hulk, Wolverine, Daredevil, there are lots of them. People tend to read about heros they can identify with.

These are just a few of the reasons.

Super power ideas for a story?

Someone has the power to make a car explode when the driver has annoying music too loud.

Someone can reach through the internet to slap someone.

Someone can stop the function of another person's vocal chords like a mute button.

Someone is surrounded by a strange aura that causes bystanders to tell the truth.

Why do superheroes usually stay unmarried?

Have you ever thought about how busy superheroes are? They have to save the world (probably multiple times), defeat the villain, and then, perhaps, just maybe, they are able to win the heart of their crush. In Ms. Marvel, Bruno Carelli is Kamala Khan’s best friend. They’ve known each other since preschool:After Kamala inhaled the terrigen mist from Captain Marvel, she discovered she had the superpower of bending and contracting her body to various sizes. Since then, Bruno has always been there for her, designing equipment. Kamala hides the fact that she’s a superhero from her mother:And even then, Bruno has always been the first person that Kamala comes to when she needs someone to talk to. When she’s in trouble Bruno will be the first one she calls. When Kamala needs him, they even have a secret call and Bruno leaves class just to save Kamala:Bruno loves Kamala. Kamala loves Bruno too. They are best friends, and they are potentially more than best friends. But the most important thing to Kamala are her superhero antics. She needs to protect the people of Jersey City. As a result, Kamala only calls on Bruno when she needs help, and this really aggravates Bruno.Bruno got tricked by one of Kamala’s enemies; he went to an abandoned factory, and there were explosives rigged onto the door. Bruno was seriously injured and he had to go to the hospital. For a couple of issues, I wasn’t sure if Bruno would survive. But Bruno is fed up being the third wheel between Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel, and Bruno Carrelli. And after being heavily injured by the bomb, he tells Kamala that is it over. He doesn’t want to be Kamala’s friend anymore, and he leaves Jersey City to go to Wakanda (lol, at first, I had no idea what Wakanda was, then I watched Black Panther):It’s not that they can’t maintain a relationship; but superheroes are not ordinary people. They have a responsibility to their constituents. They also have a responsibility to keep secret their identity so the people they love most will not be the victims of retribution from their enemies.I really hope one day Kamala does find time for Bruno. They would be perfect for each other.Comic images used above: Ms. Marvel (2016 run) issues 10, 11. Ms. Marvel (2014 run) issue 15.

Superhero Name For A Female Vampire?

I'm writing a story and I need a super hero name for my female vampire character, her real name is Grace, she has pale white skin, black hair and dark green eyes, when she 'vamps out' her eyes turn like a Sae/Ece Amber colour (google it), her fangs are more visible, the fangs at the top of her mouth can be seen whens she laughs and opens her mouth, she's witty, sarcastic and likes to speak her mind, she's a bit crazy, like Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, in the sense that she loves to brag about what she does to her enemies, she's a very skilled and dangerous fighter, she's very confident and is very specific when threatening people who piss her off, she was turned into a vampire when she was 22, she's not 'evil' per-say, but she does drink human blood to survive, she only goes after 'bad' humans, she's in the (charcoal) grey area of the evil/good spectrum, she became a vampire in 1838 in England, though now she has an American accent, she lost in long after she travelled to America, she mostly wears black, form fitting clothes, a lot of black skinny jeans, black and/or another dark coloured tank top and a black leather jacket with black combat boots, she's very 'tough girl' most times, but she can be girly on occasion, she won't take anyone's crap and loves to pull pranks and scare humans, they amuse her greatly, anyway, a superhero name for her would be awesome as I can't think of any :)
