Would you consider a 16 year old a child?

A 16 year old is to all intents and purposes a child, both in law and practicality.  They have no experience of the adult world in reality, nor adult social skills., particularly for  business.  In fairness this is not down to the 16 year old, but the totally isolated and disassociated operation of the Education system and Business.Certainly in the UK, the Department of Education, never asks Commerce and Industry what they need school leavers to know. Consequently 16 year olds have to face this massive leap from the school life to business.A 16 year olds perspective on life is still very much through a child’s eye and do not have the same attitude to business or how to run their own affairs as a person of 18 does.Perhaps this would change if parents took on their responsibilities to prepare a child for adult life instead of leaving it to the schools.  Equally it would be even more helpful if the schools and the education departments of Government communicated with the real life world of adulthood and business. As an aside, why are schools providing sex education and not the parents?Increasingly it seems that Teachers are being expected to be loco parentis.

Is it considered pedophilia if an 18-year-old goes out with a 17-year-old?

It isn’t. Pedophilia is attraction to a prepubescent child. Attraction to an adolescent or post-adolescent child is called ephebophilia. Really, once a person has reached physical maturity, i.e. adulthood, it wouldn’t be either. The greater concern here would be statutory rape. A person who is over the age of consent is guilty of statutory rape, if they have sex with someone under the age of consent. But see below, some jurisdictions make an exception for two who are close in age. Also, 18 is not where the line is most often drawn. I don’t know where you are, but in America, in many states the age of consent for sex is 16 or 17, not 18. 16 is most common. Many States also have an acceptable difference between ages (usually 2 years or three, but - Hawaii! 5 years! Utah! 10 years) so that young people who are close in age do not run afoul of an arbitrary line. The purpose of these lines is to set aside a certain amount of time for a young person to grow and learn and understand themselves, and their ideas about sexuality, without being pawed at and slobbered over by a bunch of old people. Most places take pains to show that these laws don’t target children a year or so apart from each other in age. They target sick and disgusting predatory adults, seeking sexual gratification from those much younger than they are.Check the laws near you. You may be surprised. In any case, no, pedophiles aren’t attracted to seventeen-year-olds.

If an adultlesent had a child is she considered an adult after that?

NO. Probably less of an adult. Sadly getting pregnant that early is usually seen as an immature thing.

Luckily people do want to help and encourage people in this situation so you will be helped to mature and raising baby also forces that on you.

Maturity is a state of mind and to a certain extent a measure of knowledge and behaviour. BUT - do not rush from childhood - you will regret it if you do!!

Take your time and just be you.

Good luck.

If a minor has a baby is she considered legal guardian?

Your son is considered an adult in all matters pertaining to his child, so is the childs mother. The girls mother has no rights to the baby, whatsoever. I would be speaking to a lawyer and getting his rights to custody sorted out legally. The only way that the girls mother could be guardian of the child would be if her daughter and your son had signed guardianship papers which gave her their permission to act on their behalf.......even then the natural parents have the right to rescind the guardianship any time they like.
ETA: Lol.......so....two people dont like having the truth stated then? Dont matter if you like it or not, once youve had a child youre considered an adult in relation to matters pertaining to that child and it doesnt rely on who is paying for the nappies Britany.
