Cartoon Network Licensing Costs?
Hi there, I am currently doing a project in my Applied Business AS class (in college) which allows us to generate a business idea of our own, and for part of my project I am required to plan how the business will work, what type of business it is and the startup costs I will require in order to support the creation of my business. My plan for a business is to create an online service in which will allow parents of children to personalize a letter which will be written to the child from a cartoon character of their choice (within the selected range). This will allow children to relate to their favourite characters they see on TV in a positive way - by receiving a letter from their favourite character will create a 'magical' excitement to believe the 'hero' they see on TV has replied to them personally. My main question is, how much would it cost, approximately, to receive a license allowing me to use a few (lets say 5) characters from their range, for the basis of my product?. Also, if possible, could you tell me how much, as a percentage, Cartoon Network would want to receive of my profits when selling the licensed product? (as I understand I would have to form a fair agreement for basing my product idea around their copyrighted ideas). If this question is unanswerable I'm totally fine with that!, just an optional question that's all!. Thank-you majorly for your help!
Why do Nickelodeon & Disney Channel use a lot of the same actors/actresses?
I only know with David Archuleta - he is a recording artist and unrelated to Disney or Nick. He separately got invited to be on iCarly and on Hannah Montana. I think it just has to do with how large a tween audience they think the artist has, if they think the artist will get them more viewers, they try to get them to be on the show. And for the regulars, Disney and Viacom may make deals to feature each other's stars on their shows.
Was WCW 'killed' because of that incident where the ending of a PPV was cut off early?
WCW was losing money on Live Events, Television Tapings and Pay Per Views. WCW Monday Nitro Television Ratings plummeted to the point where they were 1/3 of what WWF Monday Night Raw Is War. WCW Thunder's Ratings were lower than that and all WCW's Weekend Shows lost a significant portion of their viewing audience. WCW Merchandise Sales Dropped, Pay Per View Buyrates dropped. WCW lost more money in it's last 3 years than it lost in the previous 30 years combined. AOL Time Warner simply pulled the plug on WCW. AOL in particular was not happy owning a Professional Wresling Company, nor broadcasting Professional Wrestling Shows. I own a 06 Vibe, window washer fluid isn't dispensing!?
A quick thing to check is to see if the nozzles are clogged where the fluid comes out to go onto the windshield. Sometimes after waxing the car for example wax gets into the nozzles.
