If A Girl Goes To Teach A Guy Friend How To Play Guitar

Do girls like guys who play guitar?

Many of us guitarists started playing to attract girls. It’s not the right reason. If you don’t love playing guitar, you’ll never get very good at it, and then you won’t attract girls. Fortunately for me, I love playing guitar and would keep playing even if it repelled girls. Which it doesn’t.I was a clarinetist in seventh grade when The Beatles hit. Suddenly all the girls in my school were going crazy over them. This had a profound effect on this 13 year old boy. I bugged my parents until they bought me a nylon stringed classical guitar, acquired a Beatles songbook with chord diagrams and started obsessively nerding out. There was no YouTube or rock instruction in those days, so I just taught myself. In just 5 short years I had attracted my first girlfriend! She also played guitar, but alas, I played rock and roll and she played songs on the tedious/dreary end of the folk music spectrum*.All the women I’ve ever been with over the last 50 years (except maybe one) were attracted to me at least partly because of my guitar playing. But I think it’s more due to the fact that I was showing my skill at something rather than that the something was guitar. You want to choose something you sincerely love doing and excel at it in public - that’s what makes you attractive.*Pro tip: Do NOT sing “Silver Dagger”, which goes “Don’t sing love songs, you’ll wake my mother/She’s sleeping here, right by my side” if you’re a guy. It’s just creepy.ps. I still have the classical guitar, but have upgraded to a much more compatible girlfriend.

I'm teaching a girl I like how to play the guitar, should I bring my guitar too?

I think it would be really difficult to teach someone the guitar without you actually having a guitar to show them what to do. If was I was going to teach someone guitar I would definitely take mine. There is also the possibility, I guess, that her "cheap" guitar may not even be playable. I am not familiar with Carlo Robelli guitars so can't comment though.

Generally cheap guitars are made with inferior materials and components and are badly set up. I've never considered rough fretboards to be a feature of cheap guitars - I recently sold a guitar I bought new years ago for £90 and the fretboard was just as smooth as the £500 guitar I still have. I don't know that I've ever seen a guitar with a rough fretboard. Not sure what you mean about strings that are "super soft and durable" either!

I think if you arrived at the house in a car costing $50,000 some girls might be "impressed", but a $500 guitar? Not really, she might think it's a nice guitar but I don't think she'll see you any differently. Maybe try a restrained approach romantically...

What does it mean if a guy plays a guitar in front of me?

I have never played guitar in front of anyone without wanting to impress, most certainly not a woman. Yes,I do enjoy playing, and I play by myself, often, but if I share that with someone, I'm hoping for some mild adulation. If a guy plays sensitive stuff, or Stairway to Heaven, he's manipulative and DTF. If he plays Motorhead or Maiden, he's totally cool with himself, an awesome guy, and DTF.If he breaks out with some Segovia, he's put some time into learning the guitar and probably just wants to show off. He will be DTF, but only missionary with the lights off.Laugh at people trying to get laid with ukuleles. They are not making an honest effort, and do not deserve to be inside anything other than their own soft hands, or possibly a warm tomato.

Are girls really attracted to guys who play guitar? If yes, for playing what kind of songs?

Yes, they are attracted if the following conditions are satisfied. 1. The guy must not be ugly. 2. He has to play the songs that they know about. 3. He should be able to sing while playing guitar. There is this guy in my campus who plays and sings hit numbers that require only 4-5 open chords and girls are crazy about him. Most girls don't know anything about guitar so it doesn't matter if you are playing a wrong chord as long as you make it sound okay. The guy that I was talking about plays wrong chords all the time and girls never notice! And his current girlfriend fell in love with him only because he plays guitar. People don't even know the difference between different types of guitars so I wouldn't expect much from them. For girls, a beginner level acoustic guitar player who can sing is far more attractive than someone like Mattrach or Sungha Jung.

Why do girls find guys who play guitar attractive?

why is it that whenever someone sees a guitar they jump for joy? And even higher when they see someone playing it. I've always thought it was because the girls thought instantly $$$, but then its started to seem that even if their not famous girls tend to like guys with guitars... Why? What makes a guitarist so special? (Keep in mind, i myself am a guitarist/Musician seeing as i play more than just guitar... I've just always wondered.) Literally i went to school for a while and i had friends, i said i could play guitar but no one really cared. Then suddenly a talent show comes to our school. I entered and suddenly instant friends and Girls. Really got me as to why everyone suddenly liked me...

I told my crush i was teaching myself to play the guitar..? help with lyrics or advice?

I told my crush I was teaching myself to play the guitar and he was like oh cool you'll be like the next Taylor Swift. But anyways, the topic came up and I told him I would write him a song and play it on the guitar. His friend told me that my crush liked me on the day before school started but then my crush started talking about the really pretty new girl. So I asked if he liked her and he said that he wasn't gonna lie and that he does a little. I don't really want to date him cause I'm in 8th grade and with the few guys I've dated we all broke our friendships and stuff. But I like him so so much but we are best friends so I haven't told him that I like him.
But I'm planning on writting him a song but I don't know where I would play it for him or if I would want to put it on his fb wall. I will probably end up putting it on YouTube and tell him to go see it. I want him to be happy and like whoever he likes. But what should I write the song about, like what should I say in it?

& note that I only know very little for playing the guitar but my moms cousin would be willing to teach me if I have time.

Thanks so much!!!!!

If I was sending a female friend a video of me playing guitar, would it be considered flirting?

Yes, because most likely you are trying to impress her. Unless you are just friends, and she also plays guitar and you are helping each other practice.I have dated guys who were really good at guitar. Honestly, it is a turn off to me when they try to get me to like them by showing off at guitar. It seems like everytime I have asked a guy to “teach me a few chords,” it ends up that I learn nothing because he is too busy trying to impress me with his fast fingers and advanced skills. And watching someone talented play for a few minutes is wonderful, but passively sitting back while he gives you his own private concert is BORING. Then they start sending you clips and texting you recordings of their playing and it's just like UGH. It just seems to be a thing with guitar players that they get really “me me me” and won't EVER stop playing. And I'm like hello, is there anything more to you than that instrument?Sorry, I got a little carried away while writing that. If you want to flirt with a girl, ask her questions. Act interested in her, not in proving yourself through an interest that she may or may not reciprocate. Focus on what you have in common, then eventually you will have the chance to share your personal interests. Good luck :-)
