If A Hard Drive Is In A Metal Bracket Does It Matter If The Top Metal Casing Is Removed

Where to put hard drives after removing hdd cage?

Hello, I just bought a spec 03 case and i am planning to get a nepton 280l cpu cooler (280mm).
Now this case can only support 280 mm water coolers in the front, which means removing the front fan and the hdd/ssd cage. I was wondering where i could put my hard drive and sdd once i remove the cage. Is there anywhere i could put them? The corsair manual does not say anything about it.

How can I remove braces stains from my teeth?

There are different kinds of stains.First of all, did you know that those brackets are bonded to your teeth using special resines? When you have braces put, brackets are bonded to your teeth after they have bee carefully cleaned in the dental office and the enamel surface where the brackets are bonded suffers a light demineralization in order to resins used can hold the brackets attached to tooth surface.During orthodontic treatment that can last in average no less than 2 years, the enamel bellow the brackets remains protected by this interface film of resin used for bonding. So we can have some different situations that can cause those stains:- In case of poor hygienization (not brushing your teeth well) a demineralization of the part of the teeth uncovered could happen.By end of treatment when the brackets are removed, a pristine “tatoo” of enamel that was protected, may appear rounded by a more “opaque” tooth surface. This is the more difficult stain to be removed and your orthodontist can suggest the gradual remineralization of parts that are “opaque”, since a rapid remineralization using fluor could perenize those “milky” stains traping demineralized enamel under a film of fast remineralized one obtained thru fluor application. If you ingest frequntly colored drinks or foods , like some artificial juices, too much coffee, or smoke cigarettes the difficult areas to be cleaned around the brackets can show dark stains that are more easily removed by your Orthodontist or Dental Hygienist at the time of brackets removal.-Another case is if your Oral Hygiene is inadequate for excessive use of hard toothbrushes and/or abrasive toothpaste, the enamel not “protected” by the brackets suffers abrasion and after removal the covered surface can show differences of color or even look a little bit more “elevated” than surrounding area. This is a more difficult situation, but your Orthodontist also can take care of it and tends to disappear over some period of time. Most of those situations can be prevented if you visit your Orthodontist regulary and don’t loose appointments.

How can I remove the metal adhesive plate mount from an iPhone?

I would definitely not use acetone! Goo gone is great for removing adhesive and won’t hard your device. There are also a lot of natural products you can use that won’t damage anything. If you’re talking about just getting the plate off, not the adhesive, use a credit card. I’ve done it several times with no damage!

My car won't start after metal touching positive post and it smoked. Could it just be the battery or something else?

First check all your fuse’s , yes every last one of them , most cars have a large fuse panel under the hood as well as in the passenger compartment, An then you also have what's called a “ Fusible Link “ , These are normally located going to High Amp Circuits , in your car , i.e. The starter , the alt , the fuse panels , Modern Cars have dozens of these Fusible Links , An they have different ratings that depends on the wire size going to that Component ( I think there are about 6 different gauges / sizes ). What happens when in your case a Direct Short , occurs it protects the wiring An various other electric components in your car ,, they melt down when large amounts of current pass thru them , most are covered in a Fire Resistance shrink tubing type material, An they are soldered on to the wiring of the various components , So grab your self a VOM Tester , or a Test Light use one for Computer Circuits - The VOM Meter would be a better choice , An starting looking for where there is no power where there should be power going , There's a old joke We Mechanics have - wires carry smoke thru them An when you let the smoke out there no good anymore, Good Luck , An hey don't let anymore smoke outta them wires , oh An if you find out it is a fusible link - don't let the Clown at the parts store try An sell you a 25 foot roll of it , tell them you only need like a foot ( 12 inches ) of it OK , An if they tell you otherwise go to another parts store as they are idiots ,

Is there any way of recovering data from dead hard disk?

How to recover data from corrupted/dead hard driveStep 1: First step is to Connect the Hard drive to another system. If you have access to some other PC then first you will have to connect you crashed Hard drive to that PC. So, remove out safely from the current system and connect it to the other computer. For this, you need USBtoIDE/SATA adapter, which approx. costs $30 or you can connect it internally but it is time-consuming. Once you have finished this, make sure that the system detects BIOS.Step 2: Next thing is to copy the data from the Hard drive. So, first check if you can browse Hard drive’s data or not. After browsing the data, copy the data you want to recover and store that in the desired drive.Step 3: But, if you are not able to recover the data manually you will need a data recovery software. There are a number of good data recovery software available around the web. You can choose your desired one. I chose Minitool Power Data Recovery software. This is one of the best data recovery software you can find to get you data back from damaged, deleted partitions and so on.Read full article: How To Recover Data From Corrupted / Dead Hard Drive for FREE

How do I remove metal "covers" over PCI slots?

I know probably seems like a REALLY dumb question - but I want to do it "safely," I just got a new PC, and I need to install a card into a PCI slot. For some ASININE reason, the PC manufacturer has TWO pieces of metal that are NOT cut, and are "attached" to the PC-case... I had the same issue with my old PC, when trying to install an extra hard-drive!

My question is HOW do you safely cut / twist the remaining metal pieces of the PCI-slot covers, so that I can insert a PCI card??? Thanks in advance for this rather basic question...

What are some ways to remove rust from 1.5 month old brake rotors without removing the wheels, if possible?

Besides being an aesthetic thing, rust really isn't a problem on brake rotors. On the braking surface itself, the worst rust could do is slightly modify the friction coefficient for a period of time before it was worn down. You won't notice it. Though, with general use, your brake pads will rub off the rust. If it really bothers you, try some moderate duty braking, say, slowing down coming off the freeway onto a ramp. The handbrake suggestion is good due to the bias in the rear, but don't fully engage the handbrake, or you might lock up the rear tires. It's unsafe and ruins your tires. On the rotor hats, where the brake pad doesn't touch and where the wheel studs pass through, try sanding it. You can be aggressive with your sanding as the hat won't be affected by it much, but without painting over the exposed metal, it will rust again. If you bother to paint it, make sure no paint gets onto the braking surface (or you'd be creating a safety hazard). I personally wouldn't bother anyways. as 1. you would have to remove the wheel to sand the rotor and 2. rotors are generally a wear item and are replaced after awhile anyways. Ironically, brake parts cleaner can't clean your brakes in the sense that you want them to. Brakes, by their nature, will leave brake dust all over your wheels, suspension components, and brake calipers. When that dust is mixed with road grime, it's particularly tough to remove. This is what brake parts cleaner is for, and has no effect on the rust. Wheel cleaner is basically the same. In fact, if left on your rotors' braking surface, the cleaners will create a loud squealing noise until it is entirely rubbed off.Good luck

1997 Cheby Blazer real leaf spring shackle upper bushing replacement issue. Help!?

I have been working on replacing my rear leaf spring shackles on my 1997 Chevy blazer 2-door, 4x4. The issue I ran into is that I cannot get the bolt out of the bushing that is in a round cut out of the frame. Not being able to remove this bold from wear, rust and corrosion is preventing me from getting the upper half of the shackle bracket off. The nut came off but, the bolt is seized in the mettle ring that connects inside the rubber bushing. There is an outer metal case/ring that surrounds the outer rubber bushing that is inserted into the round hole in the frame. I got the outer ring to spin inside the frame. My issue if there is not enough room to cut off the bolt head on the inner side because the gas tank is in the way. Also there are fuel lines all around the area where the bushing is and I am afraid to use a touch. If I can somehow get the head of the bolt cut off, and remove the shackle how hard will it be to tap the bushing out of the frame with the limited works space I have and how hard will it be to insert the new busing? Will in require force because I don't have any room to get a hammer to tap new bushing in because of this box that looks like the charcoal canister. This is all on the drive side. I have destroyed the shackle that was on there trying to break is free and now can't even drive not tow the blazer. Please help! Thanks for reading.
