Why are liberals so protective of illegal immigrants?
There's actually a lot of difference of opinion on the left. I personally think they should enforce the laws we have and send home illegal workers. If we need more immigration at some point, they can consider loosening up legal immigration quotas then. Oh, and employers who hire illegal immigrants, usually breaking a variety of labor laws in the process, should be thrown in jail.
Illegal immigrants "Taking" American jobs.?
I only need flaws in the logic specifically presented. I'm not doing the report by choice, and I don't give a dang. If some immigrant wants to take my job, well, I had just better do it better than him. I speak from experience. More than once, in a field that required only manual labour (back when I was a barn-hand) I beat out several mexicans who wanted my job, because my employer told me, and I proved I could do the job better. Also, I'm neither unpatriotic, nor a crybaby, or the various other things people will undoubtedly say. I plan to enlist in the Army, the moment I turn sixteen, and on the cry-baby front, well how many of you have been either stabbed, or shot. I have had both happen to me, once with a relativley small blade in a mugging, and once in an accidental discharge. And I made a lot less fuss than most people would. Not to say im the friggin man of steel, but still. So please, remember that I was just assigned a side to argue
Is illegal immigration a moral blindspot of liberals?
In the US? Absolutely. And it’s closely aligned with the blind spot that cost Clinton this election.Illegal immigration is a means by which American companies get away with the same human and worker’s rights violations common in other countries. Which is exactly the same thing offshoring our manufacturing is. Our laws protect American workers, but they don’t protect illegal immigrants or offshore workers.All of this is symptomatic of a prevailing attitude among the left (not everyone, but enough to make Hillary a viable candidate) that people who work with their hands are hired help, best not seen or heard and, if they are smart, glad to have the scraps their betters leave for them. Because, you know, if you went to college whatever you do must have real value.They say they support all immigration because everyone should have a chance at a better life. They say offshoring manufacturing is ok because Americans should all go to college and pursue highly skilled careers. It’s all bullshit. They support illegal immigrants and offshored manufacturing because they like paying lower prices. We know this because they don’t boycott Tyson, and they don’t protest against Apple. They buy shoes made by Indonesian child slaves, hamburger processed by $2 an hour Mexican illegals, and iPhones manufactured in what amounts to a prison. And all the while they claim to be making the world a better place.The left is just as blind, and just as hypocritical, as the right. The conflict between them is primarily due to different blind spots and hypocrisies.
What is it like to live with illegal immigrants in your community?
About fifteen years ago a few Latino immigrants settled in my little town in Iowa. At first there was just a trickle, but as there were many jobs available and people here treated them decently for the most part, many more Latinos have moved here.Today over 1/3 of the students in our public school are Latino. I don't know how many are here legally, but I would guess that most are illegal. Most of the small towns in the area are seeing the same influx. In the nearest small town the homecoming king this year is Latino.I welcome them to our community and my family is very good friends with one particular family of Mexican origin. They owned their own home and had just finished updating it when they lost everything in a flood this spring. They are not eligible for any type of monetary aid and will have to start over. Many people helped them to find temporary housing and they will be okay because they are resilient hard workers and they have good friends. He went with us on family vacations and came home with us after school everyday, sometimes until nine at night when his mom worked late. We miss him, but we hope he will come back and stay with us for part of the summer. If all the illegal immigrants were to leave overnight we would have major problems because most are hard workers that we couldn't replace.
Why are libs ignoring the fact that illegal immigrants help wealthy employers' bottom lines because they accept low pay and lousy working conditions?
Easy. Because the wealthy libs you mention like having cheap maids, housecleaners, lawn boys, pool boys, gardeners and other laborers and domestics. The libs underpay and often pay no SS, provide no benefits, and otherwise exploit the illegal aliens.
Rent Increase and Illegals?
I've often wondered what causes rent to increase so FREQUENTLY in the USA, especially in BIG CITIES like New York and Chicago. The only answer that I can think about is the number of illegals in our country. What else can it be? Rent goes up when there is an increase in the amount of people in a given area (sociology of overpopulation 101). Not only are illegals making hard for those born in the USA, they [the illegals] are making it hard for legal immigrants in this country. Gettting back to the rent issue, what causes rent increase? Secondly, is the amount of illegals in this country responsible for the insane rent increase that most check-to-check people have to deal with? If so, why don't Americans stand up and speak their mind? Your input?
Why are people afraid of illegal immigrants?
Americans do not want illegal immigrants, because they compete against Americans for jobs and lowers their wages.Hence, black and Hispanic Americans have been hurt significantly by illegal immigrants.Illegal immigrants do not compete against the liberals working at CNN and MSNBC for their jobs.
