What happens if I unlink my Facebook profile from my Instagram account?
Nothing terrible would happen. One of the biggest reasons keep it connected is Instagram will notify you when a Facebook friend joins Instagram which you might not know about unless you have it linked. You would just lose out on some basic stuff like that. I have unlinked it before for the same reasons that you just talked about. Something to remember is if you regret doing it, you can always go back on Instagram and link the two again.

It depends, if you were logged in to Facebook and pressed log in as “your account name” then it might appear as a notification on android as well as iPhone, however you might also consider that not all the notifications are displayed always or kept at notifications tab(Instagram has none in this case). Also, often from my experience I have seen that the notification does not appear or only appears if you and your target audience both are connected as friends on Facebook.

To get lots of Instagram followers, you should use several hashtags for each post and hashtag 'Follow for follow' if you're willing to follow other people to get more followers yourself. In my opinion, Instagram isn't that great though. It may be nice to share pictures, but once you get into the followers craze, the fun withers away.

Iii'm had the same kinda problem. If you follow celebrities like Taylor swift, badgalriri (rihanna), arianna grande etc. you get followers. About every 10 mins I re-followed them (tap follow twice) so I bumped up to the top of the list of followers again. Shoutouts are a good way too. Type shoutout on users then follow them, sometimes they ask you to do things like like everyone one of our photos, which you don't really have to do. Good luck :)
