If I Ate 1 000 Calories And Burnt 1 000 Would I Lose Weight

If i burn 500 calories and eat 1000 calories a day, will i lose weight? 10 points!?

Yes. Because not only are you burning 500 at exercise, you're probably burning 120 calories an hour just doing normal sedentary things....(if you weight 120...more if you're heavier). If you're awake 10 hours, you'll be burning 1200 calories regardless. Add Insanity, you'll be burning up to 1700. At the end of the day, you'll be 500 or so calories to the negative, which will indeed create weight loss. Remember than any extra walking, running, shopping, moving you do will add to that negative count. Dont cut your calories too low though, and eat good food, not crap. Very important to feed your body right. Don't starve it...it won't pay you back right. Good luck!

If you eat 1000 calories a day then burn them off will u lose weight?

I know from experience that it will REALLY work. But a lot of people say it is not healthy, and blah blah blah. I just say you do what you have to do until your at your ideal weight and then focus on starting a healthy caloric intake for your weight. GOOD LUCK :]

How much weight can I lose in a month eating 1000 calories a day and working out?

I have a question for you. Is this 1000 calories a day suggested to you by a nutritionist or a dietitian? How did you decide on that number? If you decided it for yourself, do not start with this diet. It may lead to improper nutrition and you may become weak.I am a girl of height 5 feet 3 inches and currently 115 lbs (52 Kgs). I eat almost 2000 to 2200 calories a day because I workout in proportion to that. All my diet consists of the healthiest food.I started eating 1500 calories a day 5 months ago combining it with intense cardio and strength training, I lost about 1–2.2 lbs (maximum) per week. This losing of weight also included muscle growth. So I never cared much about losing only weight and focused on checking my body fat % and muscle mass.It is a simple equation.Number of calories you burn should be greater than number of calories you eat to lose fat. Calories out > Calories in.Please do the following to get a perfect diet and workout plan for you:Contact a fitness expertGet your stats on body weight, height, Body fat percentage, Muscle mass, water percentage in body. All this can be known through a full body assessment available in any health and wellness centers.Use these to get yourself a personalized diet plan and workout plan. The diet must include how many Carbohydrates, Proteins and fats are required for your body to lose fat (in your terms weight).Have healthy living habits. Like going for a walk in between work hours too. Stay away from high sugar food items and junk items like Sodas, processed fruit juices, street food.Remember that it is a whole life style change and cannot be done overnight. Be patient. It takes time to see results.Don’t give up. Be CONSISTENT.Good luck.

Will I lose weight after consuming 2,000 calories and burning 1,000 in a day?

Consuming 2,000 calories a day and burning 1,000 calories via workout will give you a net daily calories of 2,000–1,000 = 1,000.Most individuals’ basal metabolic rate is greater than 1,000 calories, so I believe it’s safe to assume that you will lose weight. By how much? Again this depends on your basal metabolic rate, which you can determine using this calculator from Bodybuilding.com: Calculator on Bodybuilding.com.Remember, it takes ~3,500 calories to gain or lose a pound of muscle. Therefore, if your basal metabolic rate is 1,500 calories, you will be in a 500 caloric deficit everyday. This translates to 500 x 7 = 3,500 caloric deficit per week, which means you will lose one pound of weight per week. With that said, be wary of overestimating the amount of calories you burn through exercise. It is essentially impossible to outrun a bad diet.To put this into perspective, consider that the caloric expenditure per 100 pounds of body weight per mile of jogging is 62 calories. So if a person weighs 200 pounds, they would burn approximately 124 calories while jogging. This may seem like a decent return until you note that a slice of pizza contains 285 calories. Thus if you are consuming a slice of pizza, you will need to jog for over two miles just to compensate for the extra calories! In your scenario, assuming you weigh 200 pounds, you will need to jog for over 8 miles to burn 1,000 calories. Of course, there are other more effective ways to exercise, a prime example being High Intensity Interval Training! If you want more information about weight loss and the best ways to lose fat, you can read my article here. Good luck :)

How fast can you lose weight eating 1000 calories a day?

Ask your doctor, he/she would be able to give a way better answer. 45 pounds is a lot to want to lose. I don't think losing 45 pounds by eating 1000 cals a day is healthy at all. 900 cals a day is technical starvation. If you drop the weight quickly through a starvation or deprivation diet, you're more likely to gain it back. It's not safe to lose more than 2 pounds per week, keep in mind. You might not even need to lose that much. But again, ASK YOUR DOCTOR. Don't trust everything you read on yahoo answers. IMO, eat sensibly and enough, moderate exercise, and you'll get there, but probably not as quickly as you'd like.

I don't agree with the above answers. Eating 1000 cals a day is most certainly not healthy and I know that. 1200 is minimum. Eating 5 fruits and veggies a day as someone said, is NOT a good idea. That's a way to deprive your body of the vitamins and minerals it needs to function well. So, variety is important. Eating enough so you have energy to exercise is important. If you lose to fast, you're probably not losing fat, just muscle and water. Cutting junk food and things like soda/diet soda help. ASK YOUR DOCTOR for a real answer though!

I read the two answers below mine and DO NOT EAT JUST 1000 cals a day. Even if you are taking a vitamin, that's not going to make up for it. That caloric amount is not healthy in most cases unless prescribed by a doctor under monitored conditions. Doing a crash diet is not healthy in any circumstance and will merely mess up your metabolism and cause you to regain weight. Don't crash diet. Ask your doctor.
Honestly, taking any advice from here is probably a bad idea. For the person who told you to cut your starches, while that might work for some people it might be dangerous for you. If someone doesn't know what you're eating on a regular basis and when you eat it, it's impossible to give a good diet plan. DOCTOR!

Be careful, you only get one body.

If i eat 1700 calories and burn 1000 calories in a day, what is my total calorie consumption?

700, if you want to lose weight, you need to burn more than you take in.

If I burn 1000 calories every day, how many kg would I lose in a month?

I am not seeing a simple answer here so I will give it a go.Lets assume the following,You burn 2000 calories at rest. You burn 2500 calories per day taking into account general activity.if you eat 2500 calories per day then you are neither in a surplus or deficit, you are at maintenance and will not gain or lose weight. You burn 1000 calories per day exercising, this puts you into a 1000 calorie per day deficit. (this is too much by the way)1lb of fat = 3500 calories, so in theory you could lose 1lb of fat every 3.5 days.In reality you will start burning muscle and go into starvation mode as you are going below your basic minimum calories needed. If you upped your calorie intake to 3000 so your calorie deficit was 500 then you would be looking at losing around 1lb of fat per week. Combine this with a good protein intake and resistance training and you could preserve your muscle and lose mostly fat.Again reality over theory your fat loss will vary, how much fat you have, your metabolism, the exercise you do, what foods you are eating and other variables will all effect how much weight you lose and how much of that weight is fat.

If i eat 1600 calories per day and only burn 1000...?

i have a treadmill that tells you how many calories you burn during your workout. i usually run about 1000 calories each day on the treadmill...so if i eat 1600 calories worth of meals per day and burn 1000 on the treadmill, does that mean i am getting 600 calories fatter every day? so i should burn more than 1600 calories if i want to lose weight right?
