If I Back Out Of A Lease Will The Apartment Be Mad

We have mice in our apartment. How can we break a lease with no charges?

Tell the management that they must bring in professional help to get rid of the mice. There are many different options the management can do to get rid of the mice. Do it in writing, and ask them to fix the problem or that would be a good reason to break the lease. Tell them that you have spoken to an attorney and they advice you to either they hire someone to get rid of the mice, or you can hire someone and send them the bill, if they refuse both, then you have ever right to move. They will not be able to keep the deposit, because you have given them ever chance to solve the matters, and they have not, you have your right to get your money back. Leaving the cake outside wouldn't be a defense for them, because the mice shouldn't be around to come in to get the cake anyway.
Remember, make sure it is in writing, and save any replies, just in case you have to bring them to court.
Also, keep a log of when and who you wrote to, including any verbal conversation you may have with them. That will also help in your attempt to show that you have tried to get the problem solved before you decided to get out of the place.
Take pictures.

Can my ex kick me out of our apartment if my name is on the lease too?

I just want to know if my ex/boyfriend can kick me out of our apartment if my name is on the lease too?

My ex/boyfriend and I (he is 21, I'm 22) recently moved into an apartment together and it was a HUGE mistake. We fight all the time and we're pretty much over living together. The thing is we moved to LA from another city 2 hours away, and I have nowhere else to go. He pays all the bills because he is getting housing allowance from his school. Before we moved in together he told me he would "take care" of me in LA until I found a job and taking care of me included paying for EVERYTHING. I may have text still in my phone of him texting me saying "I can & will take care of you in LA" but I don't know if thats enough if I ever need proof. But even when we moved into the apartments we told the landlord that my boyfriend would be responsible for the rent until I found a new job. He will for sure still pay the bills regardless of if he is mad at me or not because he lives there too and has nowhere else to go either. Also, he doesn't have the money to move out and leave me with the apartment and he would never try to do such a thing because his parents would not help him get another apartment like they helped us get the apartment we are in now.

Another thing is when we fight, WE FIGHT. We've had the cops called on us for yelling so loud at 3am. I'll throw his things around, he will throw my things. I have hit him and he has pushed me but we've never called the cops on each other for those things. Nobody knows about that but us. If he wanted to could he try to get me out based on the fact I've hit him before or would it be too late for that now? I also feel like there is a 50/50 chance of him even bringing that up knowing he has pushed me too and I could use that against him as well. I also feel like if he were to bring up the fighting issue he knows he has done things to me as well and he would never want to risk anyone knowing what he has done by telling on me. BUT I want to be prepared just in case...

I plan on getting out of here as soon as I find another place to stay being that I already got a new job 2 days ago. But until I find a new place is there anything he can do to get me out until then?

Also, we live in California

Thank you.

Can you cancel an apartment lease contract the day after signing?

Read the lease carefully to find out what kinds of penalties you would be subjected to. In many cases, if you break a lease, you will have to pay rent until they find another lessee.

Keep in mind that online reviews aren't necessarily giving you the whole truth. Usually people only write reviews if they were unsatisfied, and it could be that the majority of people there are satisfied. Also, there are some things about apartment life that suck but that you have to accept, such as loud neighbors or getting ripped off from your security deposit. And it's very possible that the management has changed since those reviews were written.

Can a retired person sign an apartment lease as a co-signer?

My fiancé and I trying to move into our first apartment together but neither of us had our own places before. We bring in about 3,000 dollars a month AFTER taxes are already taken out and the apartment itself is only 480 a month (it's not in the slums, we live in a small town) but we don't have credit.

They said we need a co-signer, and my retired 70 year old grandfather said he'd do it. He has excellent credit but has income from only S.S. and pensions.

I don't know if they're more interested in credit or money. Because we have more than enough money to live there, but our co-signer receives less than we do each month but has amazing credit.

Will this work? If they won't approve just us, would the actually approve a retired co-signer?

If u change mind on verbal agreement on an apartment with no lease sign can you get deposit back?

You get part.

Because they held the apartment for you they are entitled to keep 1 months rent, but must return anything in excess of that.

The exchange of funds put you both into a binding agreement.
