If I Buy Cubeworld In Its Current Alpha Will I Receive The Full Game Upon Release

Is the cube world alpha worth getting?

I know cube world is cool but I don't know what problems the alpha is currently suffering from, or if any content is being withhold till later.

Anyone want to share some cons to the cube world alpha, then tell me whether or not I should hold my money if I'm expecting an addicting experience o;

Cube World fps drops directly from 120 to 10?

I have been playing this game for a while and I decided to install it on my new laptop.Specs(i7 2.0 GHz,Windows 8,8GB DDR3 Ram,2GB Dedicated DDR3 Vram(nvidia geforce 710M))I know the gpu sucks but thats what I have to deal with for 2 years.The games runs smoothly at about 100 fps and suddenly drops to 10 fps for about 3 seconds and back up...This happens very frequently(about every 10 seconds)and is extremely annoyying..The game is unplayable.I tried running the game as admin or in compatibily mode...and even lowered render distance and anti aliasing...but nothing changed... I HOPE YOU HELP ME :) thanks

What is Cube World?

Cube world is a really interesting Voxel-Based RPG with massive randomly generated worlds and little quests and bosses and a lot of fun gameplay. The game became super popular briefly when it was made available for purchase as a pre-release alpha game. At that time the game had a lot of hype, a bunch of video game streamers were playing it and some people (myself included) were touting it as the next minecraft. Unfortunately shortly after that the dev team (which is just a guy and his girlfriend I believe) went pretty much dark and it has been about 2 years since there has been any updates and about a year since we've heard any news whatsoever. A lot of people think the devs took the pre-release money and ran while others still hope the game will re-emerge with a massive patch. The game is not currently able to be purchased but the site remains live which personally gives me hope that the dev's are still working on it.

So I just downloaded Cube World, and I need a cd key.?

I think the problem that most people are having with Cubeworld is that they can't download it from Picroma, because it won't let them create an account. The servers are down, which leads many (Myself included) to try to download it with another method. That, I'm assuming, is what lead to this question being asked. Matthew just wanted to play Cubeworld, and he couldn't find any way to buy it. In any case, I completely agree with Josiah(the other Josiah), You should never pirate a game, or sell copies of it, or anything, for that matter, if it would take business away from its publisher, and/or without explicit consent from its author/current owner. Read the EULA. If, in the near future, the server problem is fixed, I see no reason why anyone would not get the game as intended.

Why are polygons necessary for 3D video games?

Because with a polygon, you can define points in space easily, create a planar surface with those points, and create a mesh with them. This is important data you’ll need to render an object. If you had enough polygons, you could approximate curves.I’ll get to why this is, but first understand that while models today are most popularly mapped with triangles, there have been attempts to make square polygons common, as they could potentially help save memory, by defining structures that held 4 points to cover a greater area of the mesh. Such as with the Sega Saturn.Anyways, with polygons, and more specifically triangles, since they always form a plane, you can put them edge to edge and make a surface. With a surface you can determine what parts of the surface would be visible to the “camera” and restrict the renderer from showing regions of the mesh that should be covered or are “behind” things. With this, you can also take the orientation of those surfaces and map a surface image to it to match how those images should appear to the “camera”. Such as if that polygon is parallel to the camera’s line of vision, you cannot see the plane and its image, if the polygon is perpendicular to the camera’s line of vision, the image does not need to be deformed, anything in between will generally be somehow calculated by the angle of the polygon’s surface in relation to the camera’s line of sight.If you can calculate the 3D curve approximated by a number of polygon’s surfaces, then you can calculate how the mapped texture can be shaded, based on the position of the light source, etc.Really though, unless your working on an element of the render engine, you probably don’t need to worry about why, or even how the game does it. Though it would make you stand out if you did know.There are many reasons for using polygons, though its not exactly the only way of doing things. TL;DR, 3D math is needed for rendering.

What are the best Minecraft clones?

Total Miner: Forge.This game came out in 2011 on the Xbox 360, and it was my favorite childhood game.You must be thinking,“Why was a Minecraft clone your childhood game?”Well you see, Minecraft was talked about all around in 2nd grade. My parents never trusted me with their computer so I was only limited to my Xbox 360.I very badly begged them to trust me and to let me play Minecraft, but to no avail.Minecraft was planned to release on Xbox 360 with an unknown release date. Which turned out to be May 9, 2012.One day I turned on my Xbox 360, and on one of the advertisements, I saw this.“Minecraft?!” I asked myself.It wasn’t… it was Total Miner: Forge.I played the demo, and I had a blast with it. I begged my dad to buy the game and he agreed. It was the best 2 dollars I’ve ever spent.I played this game all through 2nd grade to 6th grade.Sadly I moved to PC gaming where Total Miner wasn’t a game I was able to play.I lost my Xbox 360 since 7th grade…Recently though, after 3 years of porting…Total Miner: Forge is on PC!YES!Oh… it’s 10 dollars now…It’s still worth the purchase.Total Miner on Steam(PS: You cannot buy the game on the Xbox 360 anymore as the Indie Game Market has shut down.)

What is a great video game you'd like to play but hasn't been made yet?

Actually, there is one video game that comes to mind that i'd like to play but hasn't been made yet. Hopefully i'm going to make it myself.Four players engage in a storyline that depends on chapters. The goal is to clear all the enemies on the stage, solve puzzles and once all enemies and quests are done then they move on to the final boss. The chapter is then complete and they move on to the next chapter.Every 3 chapters, the game will switch to Gauntlet-style gameplay(top down/birds eye view) . The goal would be to solve all the puzzles in the stage, and retrieve a pitch-black looking crystal at the end of each stage.Occasionally, sometimes the players will be thrown into 2d style levels where they have to make careful jumps, and there are four treasure chests in the stage. Players can find these chests and defeat enemies in exchange for gold during gameplay of all stages. Using this, they can go to the main hub and upgrade weapons, health, armour , etc.Also, in the game players get to play as four classes: Swordsman, Mage, Archer and Detonator. It is not restricted to one class per player, which means that multiple people could be playing as Mages, however different classes would have to solve different puzzles and are required to enter certain areas.
