If I Buy Gta 4 On My Old Pc On Steam Can I Play It On My New Pc Through Steam On The Same Account

Can I play one steam game on 2 PCs with a single account?

Firstly, it's very brave of your friend to give you their Steam Account details. Secondly, Steam accounts are generally "one machine at a time", but multiple (I believe up to ten) computers can use the same account. If neither of you log in at the same time, you're good; although the first time a new machine is used there is a two step verification process, which would mean your friend would have to set you up properly for this to work. If you're playing and your friend who owns the account logos in to play a game, you will be bumped off. And vice versa. You can (with some games only) log in, go into offline mode, then allow the other player to log on in online mode. This is a common 'get around', but there are limits, and eventually player one will have to login/verify the Steam account; usually after a while, or when switching games. It's fiddly, but it works. The problem is that any achievements, etc, will be logged to the owner, and cloud saves could be an issue. Family sharing allows some games to be shared between accounts, which would allow you to save and have achievements in your own name, but again you'd have to use the offline/online trick. Saves and achievements recording might mean logging on (and booting your friend in the process). I am not sure if you can play the same game at the same time this way. However, it might (and I say this without having tested it) allow different games with both accounts online, but will need your friend (or you with their account details) to validate your account as a family member) on both PCs.tl;drYes you can, but not easily at the same time, but with some limits it is still possible, using the 'offline trick'. Family sharing might be a simpler (more legal) way to go.

If I download a Steam game on my account, can I download it on another computer also on my account?

In general, you can install a Steam game on multiple computers (though there may be a limit to the number of computers you can authorize at one time). You just can’t play the game on multiple computers at the same time. When you buy a game on Steam, you own it. If you buy a new computer, you login to Steam on it and authorize its use with your Steam library so you still have access to the games you have previously purchased. (You can also de-authorize a computer you no longer own/use.)I’m not sure whether I’ve actually installed the same game on multiple computers, but I do have Steam installed on 3 different computers and I can always access my full Steam library.

Whenever I Shift+Tab into steam while playing GTA IV on my PC, it freezes the game?

I am playing on a Toshiba Satellite with a Nvidia Geforce 745m graphics card. First off, how do I get the annoying key code box to disappear without clicking Shift+Tab (will freeze game), and secondly, how come I can't Shift+Tab at all without the game completely stopping in its tracks?

Can I unlink GTA 5 from my social club account?

Ignore my 5th update I was doing some reading and your right ultima vyse. It can't be unlinked that's a bummer I really wish it was I been having a tough time thinking of a new email name. Playstation 3 or 4?

Right now I am using my computer for gaming on steam(I play Skyrim and Gta4). I have decided to buy playstation, but after some research I've become insecure about wether I should buy playstation 3 or 4. I want to use it for the games I played on PC+ Cod or BF, and probably more games later.
I've heard ps3 have focused more on all the things outside the gaming, while ps4 is better for gaming but worse on the other stuff:S

Why would you use Steam instead of buying a real disk?

This is completely from an Indian perspective. I've been having a steam account for quite a while and just like you I was apprehensive before buying it but right now, I am very happy and satisfied. Here are a few reasons:I get to connect with like-minded peopleI have lots of friends but hardly any of them are gamers. So, I am always on the lookout for connecting with people who play/like the same games that I do. And you can't find such people on social media or in your university or at work. Steam becomes a platform for me to connect with such people. The steam forums then become a place to discuss on issues and game techniques and I don't need to go to any other place like IGN or Gamespy. You don't have to worry about losing your disc or damaging it.A lot of other answers have already mentioned this. As everything is on the cloud, you can just download it whenever you want. When I have steam, I have one less thing to worry about when I have to take a local train during peak hours in Mumbai. I would prefer to be more worried about preserving my cellphone and wallet alone. You get to play free exclusive demosAs steam users, you often get the opportunity to play latest games as demo versions and this is a whole lot of fun. You can play the game and figure out whether to spend money on it or not. Yes, you can know about demos of games from other sources too but with steam, you don't have to go looking for it. You log in and you get to know which games are available as demos for a limited period.Cheaper GamesDiscounts. Of course.Steam has great holiday offers and you can get games at very good prices during the holiday season and sometimes even if you pre-book them.I bought Counter Strike 1.6 for 4.99 USD. The usual retail prices in 9.99 USD.Counter Strike isn't a very expensive game, but still that is a straight 50 percent discount. You can resell the accountsFor some reason, you have decided to sell your games. Your girlfriend doesn't like you playing games. Your boyfriend might get depressed if you beat him.Having physical hard disk reduces the value of the games. But with steam you can just sell the whole account with all games in it. You can pretty much get the same value for it as the retail price of the games. A few people I know have already done this. There is a downside here that you may not be able to sell just one game and you would have to give up on your account completely. But still, you pretty much get a very good return on investment.

Is 1GB of RAM enough for Steam gaming on a PC tablet?

I am looking to buy a windows tablet mainly to play steam games on. (I realize that the newer games will not work on the tablet.) My question is that is 1 gb of ram enough to play older games like bully, gta San Andreas, cod waw, and skyrim? If so I will probably get the hp stream 7 or 8, if 1gb is not enough, 2gb should be right? If it is, what tablet do you recommend? I am looking for a tablet that runs full windows 8 and is nothing more than 200 dollars. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I purchased GTA 5 on Steam and it doesn't run well on my laptop. Should I lie and say that I purchased the game by accident or just tell the truth? I’m just a bit afraid that they won’t give me my money back.

How To Request A Refund (on steam)Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours. Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it.So let’s see. You’ve asked your question here. Does that mean you read this first, at the Steam page, and you already know you played the game for more than 2 hours? I notice you didn’t mention anything about how long it took you to figure out that it played like crap.I know that if the game is going to play like crap because the computer isn’t strong enough for it… you know this within 5 minutes or less. It doesn’t take you two hours to figure out that your laptop can’t play the game. I’m not going to accept bullshit excuses about how you “thought” it was going to get better, or how you “didn’t know what to do, but you just left the game running”.On the product page for the game, WHERE YOU CLICKED THE BUTTON TO PURCHASE THE GAME, are the system requirements for the game. So you had all the resources you needed, right there in front of you, to know whether your laptop could play the game BEFORE you bought it.At any rate… that right there tells you what Steam expects. If you try to feed them garbage, they’ll likely see right through it. You can try to return the game, but if you played it for more than 2 hours (and that is easily visible to them) or it is past 14 days… you can’t cry if they say no.EDIT: I want to be clear about this. The two specifics that Steam mentions… how long between the return and the purchase, and how long you played the game for… you can’t lie to them about. They know. So… the more you look like you are creating drama to make them overlook their two limitations that are based on common sense, the less likely it will be that you will get the refund. But if to them, it looks like you’ve been playing the hell out of the game for two weeks, don’t expect one.

Can I get Steam games on my Xbox 1?

No.Unfortunately, consoles are not PCs. You can’t just say “fuck Microsoft, fuck XBL, I’m going to buy and download games from another company” (and the same for Sony and PSN).Microsoft built the console in mind with XBL being the one and only marketplace/delivery network they allow XB1 owners to use, and has no interest in allowing you to give your patronage and money to a third party. Some cross-platform games had XB1 versions released, and you can buy those. If there’s no XB1 release, your only option is to get a PC of your own (orrrr a Mac, but you’d be paying more for less there). If you want to play a game that is only available on Steam, your only option is to get - or build - a PC . It’s not the multi-thousand dollar expense some people ten to portray it as - think of those expensive shiny rigs as analogous to Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces of the automotive industry: showy and way more expensive than what most consumers actually use.EDIT: As of March 2019, you can use your Xbox to stream games from your PC. In that scenario, the game is installed on your PC and runs on said PC while your Xbox acts as a glorified streaming box with a controller. No, contrary to what some would have you believe that is not the same as getting the game to run on the Xbox and it does nothing for those of you who don’t own a gaming PC they can use in such a setup.
