If I Cancel My 2 Year Contract With Verizon Can The Phone Still Be Activated On Another Account

Can you still upgrade verizon phone when 2 year contract hasn't ended yet?

You have to pay full price. The voyager right now is $409.99 full price, $199.99 with 2-yr contract.

If you buy a phone from Walmart can you activate it with Verizon?

If you can upgrade your phone, either annual upgrade or regular two year upgrade, then it would be smarter to do that rather than buying a phone from Walmart, or you can buy the phone from Walmart for the full retail price. However I believe that Walmart has cheap phones but they are all the pre-paid type phones which cannot be paired with your current Verizon Wireless phone plan.

If you wanted to buy the phone for the full retail price I recommend buying from ebay or something of that sort.

Switching from one phone to another Verizon phone will not cost you anything else but transferring your contacts will cost you something. If the Verizon store you go to has the equipment then they could possibly transfer the contacts for free but if not then it can cost anywhere from $15 - $20 dollars. Verizon corporate stores do not provide the equipment for the transferring equipment anymore so the store you go to must either be an older store or a non- corporate store. Another option you have to transfer your contacts is to use the backup assistant.

You must download the backup assistant from the Verizon store through your phone which will cost you $1.99 per MB you use and I believe that the back up assistant is a little more than 1 MB so that means you will have to pay $4 on your next bill. After downloading, you backup your contacts, then switch your phone from your old to your new (switch your ESN numbers) then you once again have to download the backup assistant onto your new phone which will be another $4 dollars. After downloading it onto your new phone, the backup assistant will sync with your contacts and then you are done.

Phew that was long. Hope that helped.

If you have any more questions message me and I'll get back to you ASAP.

If you buy a replacement phone and activate it on your verizon account does it extend your contract?

I want to buy a new phone on ebay and switch it out with my old phone by activating it on my verizon wireless account online but I want to know if it will extend my contract.

Are you meant to resell a phone on a 2 year contract once finished?

Like most junk you may have laying around the house or garage, you’d be surprised at how much money you can get be reselling your phone. Once it’s paid off, it likely works just as well as most other phones. You can certainly consider continuing to use it instead of dropping hundreds of dollars on a new phone. I give friends this advice with paid off cars as well. For some reason, people love incurring new debt when old debt is paid off, it’s crazy to me.If you do decide to upgrade your phone, try posting your phone for sale on various platforms (Facebook Marketplace, Letgo, eBay, etc.).Check out my free guide on Flipping 101 to learn how I buy several items for low prices and resell for significant profits.

What is a two-year activation for verizon?

Good question, it is following standard upgrade practice from what we understand. When your two year contract is up or you are ready for an upgrade your contract is extended two years from the date that you sign it....not in addition. Remember that you have 4 months early you can do an upgrade, and our system will see that. So if you got your phone June 5th of 2009 you are due on Feb 5th 2011. If you get a iPhone say on the 10th you will be in contract till Feb 10th 2013 but due for an upgrade 4 months prior (Oct 10th). You will not be able to get the $199 or $299 price unless you are due for an upgrade or using another persons upgrade on the same account. If you are not due yet, you will buy at full retail which is right around 599.99 I believe.

Does Verizon let you activate a phone twice?

You can activate as many phones as you like. I've gone through a good amount of phones and they are great about activation. And even better now, if you have an online Verizon account to pay your bill and whatnot, you can just activate your phone yourself through the website. I've done it that way 3 times now. It's easy and fast!

Does Verizon automatically renew your contract?

Once your contract is completed, your service is now a month to month basis. Your cell phone service is still the same nothing has changed. That means you can cancel your Verizon account without any termination fees. You are also eligible to get a new cell phone of your choice for a discount. Once you get a new cell phone from Verizon you will then renew another 2 year contract. So before you renew your contract make sure you get a new cell phone from Verizon store or any cell phone store.

Verizon wireless contract end date?

On my Verizon Wireless account setting, there is no date next to the Contract End Date. Does that mean my contract has already expired and since I've still been using it, I'm locked in to another 2 yrs?

How much does it cost to cancel a Verizon Wireless mobile phone subscription?

There is no disconnect fee, and with that end of 2 year contracts, there are no more Early Termination Fees (ETF). If you decide to leave, all you owe is the balance on any device financing agreement you haven’t paid off yet, and your final bill for service prorated to the date of disconnection. If you are somehow under a 2 year contract for a phone (these should be all complete) or other device, the fees are:* $350 for smartphones * $175 for basic phones and connected devices (Jetpacks, tablets, cameras, smartwatches, etc.)If you are receiving a monthly credit on your device financing agreement to reduce the price or get a “free” phone, these credits will be void when you cancel, and you will still owe the ENTIRE balance.

When I transfer from Verizon to T-Mobile, is my Verizon account automatically canceled or do I still need to call them and cancel?

As others have mentioned, once your numbers are ported out, they are terminated with Verizon Wireless. If there are any devices on your account with numbers you didn't port, your account will remain open. Be careful with this, as if you don't take any action yourself about those devices (such as tablets, they're a big one), you're fully liable for the charges incurred.
