If I Cannot Pay A Payday Loan What Can They Actually Do

Can you really be arrested for not paying back a payday loan?

Yes. You have to give your correct info because they verify it before they give you money. Since you are writing a check, yes, you can be arrested. The check would bounce, and when ANY check bounces you can be arrested. Generally, if you've never bounced a check before, they'll send you to some weird class about bouncing checks. If you keep on bouncing checks, you will go to jail. It's considered stealing. If the company doesn't press charges, you won't get arrested. I guess it depends on how the person in charge of pressing charges is feeling that day.
Regular loans are different, they get sent to collections agencies.

Can't pay payday amscot loan PLEASE help?

I agree with Slimick...
They will continure to attempt to debt.
This is Writing a bad check basically, subject to 500 fine plus fees.
Can get you permanently banned from opening another checking account. Telecheck will put you in the bad check list, and it will go on your credit report and eventually it will be a judgement where they will garnish it and it will probably be several hundred or over $1,000 dollar by time they add all the fees.
This is a bad thing, you are going to wish you paid it.
You could have gotten another pay day loan early on and paid it off with a payday loan, I have done that, back and forth until, I had the money to pay it off, and by time you are done you could have paid it off 5 times... You should have sold something or asked for a loan or borrowed it from someone. Lesson learned PDL are BAD NEWS

What happens if i cant pay my payday loans back?

you are in a difficult situation but you can still get through it if you are still working. you should start by contacting the payday loan companies and talk to them and let them know you are in a tough financial situation and would like to make arrangements to payoff the loan in 3-5 payments because you do not want to default on them and want to see if they would come to some type of compromise. Most payday loan companies are flexible as long as they get some payments. i do work in the industry and i would accept a repayment plan instead of nothing.

What If I don't pay back a payday loan? ?

You have got to be the most financially inept person I've ever heard of. If you could not afford the car, why did you buy it? Di you think money would just magically appear each month?!??

What will they do? Sue you and tack on fees and interest.

You need to seriously wise up. Your mom. Does not sound like much of a role model either if she would give you her rent money for a car!

Can warrant's be issued if you cant pay back a payday loan?

I fell on very hard times and had to get a payday loan for for a total of 1800.00 and have been paying them back until i fell behind and then i had a man call me saying that he was from the attorney generals office and said that I had 3 counts against me and that if i didn't pay 829.00 that the sheriff would be a my job to arrest me i explained that i would not be able to pay that right then so he told me they would take 150 and he told me to go to CVS Pharmacy and get a green dot pack card and put the money on it. he said he couldn't take my credit card that they weren't allowed to once it was paid he said that they had removed the warrant. I then felt so stupid as i looked it up with the sheriffs web site and found out that i didn't have a warrant. So my question is can they issue a warrant and do they have attorneys that are at a call center calling people like myself? While on the phone with him I heard multiple people threatening people as well so i know it was a call center. Is this legal? Im in the state of California.

Can I be arrested for not paying a payday loan? Is it a federal felony in Arizona?

I just received a phone call from someone at a "legal office" who said that they were were investigating my case and if I dont agree to pay the loan today that they will file legal papers and the federal system will be at my door in 48 hours to put me behind the system. I told him I was unemployed and could not give what I dont have and so he asked "well who are you gonna call to bail you out?" I told him no one I guess, he seemed stumped and then continued to say that he had been authorized to offer me a settlement but because I could not pay he could take a statement and offer it to the lawyer or prosecutor for consideration. Is this real?

What happens when someone does not pay back their payday loan?

If you’re in risk of defaulting on a payday loan, contact your lender to explain your situation and attempt to negotiate your payment terms. You may be able to enter into a repayment plan to avoid having your loan send to collections and needing to appear in court. During this negotiation process, you should work on your budget. Find places where you can cut spending and cut it — even if you don’t default, you’ll still need to pay the original fees you took out for borrowing. You may also want to consider a way to consolidate some of that debt to lower the interest rate. There are bad credit personal loans available, so you may qualify even if this default has impacted your credit score. Local banks and credit unions usually offer small loans that can help you move your debt from high-interest collectors. Discuss your situation and be upfront. It may take a month or two to qualify, but if you’re at risk of defaulting or have defaulted, a small loan from a credit union could reduce the amount you pay in interest, potentially saving you hundreds.Sometimes, though, default is inevitable. If you do receive a court summons, be sure you ask the collector to show proof that you owe the money. If they bring no proof, you may have grounds to postpone proceedings until they do.

Whats can REALLY happen if i cant pay back a check n go payday loan right now??

The problem is as I see it, you think that just because you had been a loyal customer in the past, means something to them, but that was the PAST, not the present.

If, I read your question correctly, you did the right thing by contacting Accurate, (but), you did not make arrangements to pay them back, by setting up a payment plan, that you "might" meet. Telling them, you don't have the money, or in dire straights, does not mean a thing to them, since you owe them money,,,,,,,,,period, and have not told them how you plan on paying them back. Until you do, they will continue to harass you.

The site attached gives you info and links on how to handle this, PLEASE read it, since unknown what state you live in, but, they could try and take from your checking account, causing you NSFs, and according to the article, even if you change accounts, and not allow the bank to take from old, could end with NSF's in the new account. Depending on what state you live in, they "might" be able to garnish your wages?

Payday loans are the worst places to get money, since as everyone knows, they "prey" on people who need them the most, and take advantage of them, with exorbitant interest/fees etc.

Read the article, do some research to see if you have any options, since these places knows all the tricks, and you need to be armed.

good luck
