If I Cut Calories To 300 A Day Will I Gain Weight

How much weight will I gain eating 100-300 extra calories per day?

If your current intake barely meets your BMR then you are aren't eating nearly enough. The Basal Metabolic Rate is theoretically what you require if you're in a coma and doing nothing. Calories above that are not "extra". If you're doing any kind of exercise you need a lot more food than that.Weight gain due to fat is a matter of calorie balance. If you get 100-300 genuinely extra calories per day then you'll gradually gain weight. How much is impossible to say because you don't specify how long this will go on.Note that working out can add muscle which makes you weigh more and also require more food. You should probably relax and forget numbers. You aren't going to be able to get an accurate count of your calories to a tolerance of 100 calories/day anyway. The error bars are way bigger than that.

Can I lose weight by eating 1,300 calories a day?

Yes, but you’ll have a harder time than eating 1600cals. (Assuming you are a 70kg, sedentary person; if you are a 150cm 50kg person, you are still in the good range with 1300, even if it’s for a hair). What? How can that be?Because with 1300–1200, you’ll put your body eventually in starvation mode. And in starvation mode, well, your body consume much less energy. Is a save mode. It makes you less energetic, moodier, lowers your defenses and crush your libido. All that are system shutting down. The secret to losing fat is eating 500cals less than your maintenance calories. That is around 1600 cals for a standard person (70Kg sedentary). That puts you in a deficit good enough to lose fat, but no strong enough to raise metabolic elasticity (starvation mode).Go to low in the caloric intake, and your body is going agaisnt you, because you are lowering your metabolism… and your losing of weight will be always relative to your metabolism. The greater ΔVo is, most weight will you lose, that is… the greater your total volume of Oxygen breathed in a given time, the greater weight you’ll lose.Because you lose weight brething. Each 02 molecule you inhale will be exhaled as one molecule of CO2. That carbon atom is the weight you lose.80% of weight loss is through the breath. Surprise! That’s why you also need exercise: to enhance your breathing rate (not only for the duration, but your metabolic base rate) and lose weight faster. And eating 1300 cals (except if you are a 50kg-150cm kind of guy) will slow your metabolism, your breath, and as such, by basic conservation of mass, your weight loss.Weight loss is a compromise between raise your metabolic level and lower your calorie input. Going to extremes in caloric intake never, ever, works.

If i lose 200 calories a day, how much weight (kg) will i lose in a month?

i go to gym and do cardio.. i lose around 200 calories that way... in 20 mins each ( treadmill and spinning)

I am eating 1500 calories a day and gaining weight?

For a while I was only eating between 300 and 700 calories a day. I lost weight rapidly during this time. When I decided I was happy with my weight, I upped my calories to about a 1000-1100. Well I stopped loosing weight, but felt hungry all the time. Recently I have upped my calorie intake to about 1500 calories. Well in the past month or so, I Have gained like 3 to 4 pounds. Help... what am I doing wrong?

Why am I not losing weight on 300 calories a day?

I know how you people think but you have fucked up royally here mate, absolutely royally. The body changes its metabolic rate according to how much it's consuming and how much it's burning. So if we say that the body wants its base metabolic rate at 2000 meaning if you sit completely still for 24 hours you will burn 2000 calories. The body needs more than this to grow, any less than that will burn through fat and muscle for a short time. However after a while your body will learn to live on such a small amount, it will adjust its bmr to 500kcal. Someone like me who eats a lot and runs 5 times a week but eats a lot might have a similar to average bmr. If I stopped running I would gain weight because my bmr would decrease and I would gain weight because I would be eating 400 calories or so in excess. Similarly if I stopped eating I would lose weight because my bmr would be the same but I would consume less. I would be 1800 calories in deficit. The body will store some energy if the body. Now, you my friend have been eating 300 calories for the last couple of days, I know it's been a few days because you're still alive. This means that you're body will get used to eating this ridiculously small amount and will have a bmr of 300. For this to work your body will go into lockdown mode. You will feel sick all of the time as well as knackered. When you start eating a regular amount again you will pile on weight. Your weight gain will be like a regular guy stuffing down a wedding cake and a half every day.

How much weight can I lose if I only eat 300 calories a day for a week?

Loosing weight is not always about how many calories you eat. Think of it as energy, and by only eating 300 calories you are starving yourself. When you don't eat regular meals and snacks during the day, your body becomes overly hungry, stores your fat, and starts to feed off of other nutrients such as proteins. This can be very dangerous to your health as well. Some symptoms you will notice are fatique, dehydration, constipation, light headedness, fainting, intolerance to low temperatures, yellowing of the skin, and even a layer of fine body hair (yuck!). If all these things are worth losing weight to you, then you should think about the more serious side affects such as irregular heartbeat, and cardiovascular failure. You could also become anemic, or start to experience renal failure if you are severely dehydrated. Starving yourself is not the proper way to lose weight.

When any average person goes under 1000 calories a day, the majority of weight loss is muscle, not fat. You might have a lower number on the scale, but it won't be as strong or firm a body as it would be if you ate healthy and exercised moderately. When you eat such a small amount daily, your body will think you're in a famine and store every extra calorie it can, then when you try to eat even a little more, it will hoard every bite and you'll gain much faster than if you ate healthy but carefully all the time.

Why am I gaining weight after I began cutting calories and running 2.5-3 miles every week day?

Always measure your food before consumption with the help of a kitchen scale. Many times from my experience another blunder which people often commit is that they end up eating junk food specially during weekends.
