If I Donate A Kidney To A Loved One Do I Forgot About Joining The U.s National Guard

If I have one kidney, can I join the military?

Question: If I have one kidney, can I join the military? No, you can’t.Why?If your other kidney was removed, then it would have be abundantly clear that the cause of that removal wasn’t a medical condition that could reoccur. Since there’s virtually no way to do that, you won’t be allowed to enlist. It may be necessary to provide you with accommodations for dialysis if your sole kidney fails. That would mean that you might be unable to perform your basic military duties and that means that you can no longer serve. The military would be loath to not only take on the costs of a potential kidney transplant if your existing kidney failed, but also to have to retain you in the service following that failure at a reduced level of performance while waiting for a donor kidney to become available. Here’s a list of medical conditions that would prevent someone from enlisting in the US military:https://www.military.com/join-ar...The absence of a kidney is stated to be a reason for disallowing enlistment.

Can I join the military with one kidney?

I donated a kidney to my father a fews years back and I have always wanted to join the military after I finish college. Recruiters are all telling me different things. Some say yes, some say no, some say maybe. I have perfect kidney function. If so which branch?

ONE KIDNEY CAN BE WAIVED?

Everyone who has one kidney and wants to join the US Navy. YOUR PREDICAMENT CAN BE WAIVED!!!!! I called in earlier to a recruitment office today to ask if having only one kidney is waiverable and they said yes. Also he said that the internet listings for non waiverable ailments has not been edited since 1975!!!!! I made sure that he was speaking the truth so I called around to 8 different recruitment stations, and they all said yes! I think their views on people with one kidney has changed. He did say for the waiver you need a letter from your doctor saying your kidney is in 100% good health. You will also need to do lots of blood work, but it should not be too bad. Once again I am putting this out there so people know that they can enlist with one kidney.

Can I join any branch of the US military if I have had a kidney transplant?

As a former US Army Recruiting Official, organ transplants usually result in being marked as permanently ineligible for military service because you do meet the GENERAL military entrance standards; the Army’s authority on this matter is AR 40–501, Chapter 3–18 (o)[1]. Each US military branch has it’s own guideline (authority, Air Force[2], Navy[3], Marines, Coast Guard[4]. Your only recourse is to appeal your case to a Military Evaluation Board (MEB), and pray. Keep in mind ANY potential “employer” (military or public sector) would consider you’ll ultimately cost them more money than you’re worth in the long run, or there is increased potential that you’ll suffer injury or illness while IN LINE OF DUTY - costing them many thousands of lost dollars to treat you; so it’s highly unlikely you’ll get approved. Ever heard the phrase, “Best Interest of the Government”? This is a classic decision they make. The Good News: Waivers are Granted Everyday. The Problem: finding a Recruiter who will sacrifice his valuable time (and assigned monthly quota) to help you to this very lengthy waiver processed, then get NO CREDIT for it.Think positive. Be extremely polite and cooperative. You can do it . . just don’t go in thinking anyone owes you anything. Good Luck!Footnotes[1] AR 40-501  Standards of Medical Fitness :: Military Publications - Army Regulations - USAHEC[2] http://static.e-publishing.af.mi...[3] http://www.public.navy.mil/surfo...[4] Merchant Mariner Physical

Who/what is someone/something you'll never forget and why?

I will never forget the little boy I was in love with in preschool. We would run around kissing each other on the cheek at the neighborhood playground. When I was four years old, my family moved to another suburb. But I always remembered him. When I was 15, I searched for him on Myspace. When I was 18, I looked on Facebook.I stopped my search after having no luck, and moved on with life.I moved across the country and became a Real Person. Then at 29, he found ME!Except we didn’t know it at first.Until we found out we were from the same small town. And then got each other’s names.Luckily, we dug the adult versions of each other. And even though we were living across the country from each other at the time, we gave it a shot. Was it worth it? Absolutely.Bonus:From this experience I have learned to keep the faith and the right person will appear. Feelings of doubt, sadness or jealously only signal to the mysterious powers that be that you’re not ready to receive it yet.And in my case it took 25 years.***EDIT*** thank you for the love! There are people in your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. For better or worse, he was only for a reason and a season. It took me a long time to write about it, but here it is: Jen Cannon's answer to What was your most embarrassing airport/airplane experience?

Protein was found in my urine at MEPS...How do i get rid of it by tomorrow?

Yesterday, i went to MEPS and they found protein. They told me to hold off on excersice for 48 hours and then try again tomorrow. i don't have any kind of kidney disease.
I just want to know what other reason could explain the protein in my urine? And can drinking alot of water wash it out before tomorrow?
the roommate that i stayed with at the hotel told me she had the same problem, so i'm assuming finding protein in urine is very common and can be fixed...so how do i fix it? thanks!

Is there a waiver for bedwetting in military?

Talking from experience, I also too wetted my bed till I was 16. I am 19 now, and in 3 weeks Im going into Basic Training. I never mentioned the bed wetting ever.

How can MEPS accuse you of something if they don't know what they're looking for. Which is the reason they play "Scare Tactics" at MEPS to make you come forward if you didn't tell your recruiter anything beforehand.

Just don't mention it.
