If I changed my display name on Snapchat, would my friends see my old name or the new one?

How to erase edited Snapchat display names?
I have edited display names for some of my friends and i want to erase some of them but I don't know how. I tried making the edit display name box empty but it just tells me "Display name can't be empty!" and goes back to the name i edited. I just want to see their username again.

you can go to where the big yellow square with the ghost is (the area where you scan to add contacts) and it should show your name directly under it in small letters. click on it, and you can change your display name.
Friends Snapchat name shows up as a different name on notifications?
This has only ever happened with this one person, but before I ask my question I'll explain Snapchat names. On Snapchat you can have two names, a username, and a preferred name. The preferred name is optional while the username isn't. If you have a preferred name, that's what you'll show up as in other people's phones when you send them snaps, on their friends list, etc. However if you choose not to have a preferred name, you'll show up as your username in people's phones, and on their friends lists, etc. instead. Now the friend I have on there only has the required username, no preferred. He shows up as his username everywhere, his story, on my friends list, etc. But he doesn't show up as it on my notifications. On my friends list, his story, his profile, my list of snaps, chats, etc. he shows up as the username, but when my phone notifies me that he's sent me a snap he shows up as a different name. It's only on the notifications, and this second name isn't anywhere on his profile. He only shows up as the second name when I get a notification. His profile only shows that he has one name, so I don't get how he shows up as a different name only when my phone notifies me that he's sent me a snap. I dont have his name or # saved in my phone. The second name isn't anything unusual, it relates to his actual name, I just don't know how he shows up as his username in the app and then as a different name when I get a notification. How is this possible/why is this happening? Help??
One of my Snapchat friends name changed from the nickname I had to the original username. The person is not in my friends list either, but the message says delivered. Did that person unfriend, block me, or delete their Snapchat account?
Hey. This person could have blocked you and unblocked you. However there’s a chance that they simply unadded you. In snapchat settings there’s a option that says “Who can snapchat me” and underneath it says “Everyone” or “My Friends”. If the person has their settings set on “Everyone” then that means that even the people they unadded are able to snapchat them. Usually when you’re blocked on Snapchat the snapchat icon will be grey and say “pending”. So if they unadded you, that would explain why your message says delivered instead of pending. So, I think it’s a good chance that this person simply unadded you but maybe has their settings on “everyone”.Hope this helps!
