If I restore my iPhone, will I lose everything? How can I stop this from happening?
When you restore your device (iPad,iPhone) it erases everything and then reinstalls the core applications and OS.Backups are for times when you loose your device, it gets damaged, or you are upgrading to a new device. Apple has setup iCloud to allow you to back up your device completely. It also has provided a way to restore everything except the applications without having to restore from a backup. Why you might ask?Your device has a lot of things going on in the background besides what programs you are using. All this activity and changes are captured in the backup. Sometimes communication between backup (done through WiFi) gets garbled. Sometimes the garble happens in the device you are using that causes problems. Those problems are saved in the full backup.If Apple runs diagnostics on your device and there are no errors, then the issue you are having is most likely software. When this happens you need to restore your device to factory settings and set up as a new device. You can not restore from a backup without putting the problem back on the device.By turning iCloud Photo Library on, and set to put originals in the cloud, and turning on from the main iCloud page the items like contacts, etc. these are backed up separately.Then after the restore all you need do is log into your iCloud account after selecting set up as new. All your photos will come back along with contacts, messages, etc. Only the applications will need to be reinstalled and the device personalized after.
Can I use a locked iPhone like an iPod?

Vimal gave useful information for someone trying to jailbreak yet you already knew that, he didn't answer your question. You need to download the 6.0 ipsw (you can get it from redmond's site ( http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-ios-... ) You will also need the newest Redsn0w 0.9.15 so download that by choosing Win or Mac. Now, do everything you did but point it to your newly downloaded IPSW. Go ahead and jailbreak. Don't forget that you will have to repoint it to the 6.0 IPSW when you 'Just Boot' also...every time. To answer your other questions about backup: As long as you backed up your phone before hand you will not lose anything. On the summary page in itunes, while your i device is plugged in, you will see a backup and restore backup button. Restore will take you to your last backups and holding the Ctrl key while choosing restore backup will let you choose the backup.

Help! My iPod touch has a big black-ish circle it it! I accadently dropped it land ever since, the circle wont go away. Please help. that iPod has all of my pictures from a play I was in that ended almost a month ago called cats. My make up, costume, feline friends, and my trip on the tour to NC. If you remember your Apple ID, you can download the app Find My IPhone, or go online on a computer at iCloud.com . There will be a option to ring, which will ring your IPod at full volume for 5 minutes.

Does doing this to jailbreak your ipod touch actually work?
I dont know how reliable that website will be i would advice to use ziphone instead after u upgrade it to version 1.1.4. This is how i jailbreaked mine. Downside would be you can brick it and when not if you do this youll have to restore it by holding the power and home button and pluging it into itunes. all your data as far your music, playlist, vids, photo, and all the other stuff will be fine but all your 3rd party apps will be gone and youll have to start all over. thats why i would recomend to write down your apps and the sources you used to make it easier to fix.
Why doesn't my ipod touch keep time/date?
probably the time syncs with the time of your computer? you should check that.
