If I Got Called For A Second Interview Have They Already Run The Background Check Or Will They Run

Is a background check after an interview a good sign?

I had a phone interview that went well. I sent an email indicating I was grateful for their time, interested in the job, and if they needed any additional information. They called me back within 30 minutes saying they wanted an in person interview. Talked for 30 minutes and when the interview was done, they asked for my license to run a background check and had me sign authorizing for it.

I have heard nothing in 2 days after emailing twice. It's not a big office, 35 people. I have found that if they do not contact you right back, it's a no go. Thoughts?

Can a background check reveal if I already have a current job?

Any time you are interviewing for a new job, and the second company is going to do a background check, most employers will ask if it is OK to contact your existing employer.
