If I Grew Up In 91 Why Do I Not Like 90

Why are 90's kids so annoying?

Not all of them, of course. In fact I'm friends with a bunch of 90's kids, but you have to admit most of them are really annoying and think they are cool because they're old. It's stupid.

One thing I'm really sick of is the fact that they "miss" their old shows. If you miss your old shows, REWATCH THEM. MY GOD, wtf is wrong with you people?

Also, trust me. Modern kids aren't missing out on anything. We have better technology than you. And don't give me that "Yeah but the 90's had better clothes, music, and tv shows." Um, wtf? Has anyone heard of...oh I don't know...MOM. I watch Goosebumps, listen to old music and wear old fashioned clothes all the time. If modern kids are into that stuff they can just talk to their parents about it and get old stuff. It's actually pretty simple.

But most importantly I think it's pretty lame how the 90's kids act like modern kids aren't as cool as them just because we're not as old as you are. When you were born doesn't define you. At all. I'm a modern kid and I would have had the exact same personality in the 70's, the 50's, the 20's or any other time period.

And last of all, you guys shouldn't say "thats cuz you werent a 90s kid" when a modern kid says they don't like the 90's. NEWSFLASH: you can like a decade without growing up in it. A lot of people do.

Am I considered a 90's kid?

You're not a 90's kid, just because you were born during the late nineties, just like I'm not an 80's kid because I was born in the late 80's. I grew up in the nineties, which would in fact make me a nineties kid.

No, I'm a teen/adult NOW, I was a KID in the nineties.

I think you misunderstand what a 90's kid is. It's not if you were born in the 90's and are a kid now, but whether or not you were a kid who grew up DURING the 90's. You were born in the late 90's, which would mean you grew up during the last decade - the 2000s. So to answer your question, no, you're not a 90's kid.

Do I really need to use 91 octane fuel in my new car or would 87/89 be ok?

Your car came with a manual that should clearly state what fuel your newly purchased vehicle requires. If it says you must use fuel that is 91 octane or higher then that is what you must use. Now if is says 91 octane preferred and 87 octane minimum , then you can use 87 octane. If you choose to use 87 octane the engine will not provide the best performance, but you will not damage it.If the manual says min 91 octane, that means the engine and ECM are not able to safely use fuel with an octane lower than 91. You run the risk of damaging the engine. One thing I can say for sure is, no user on Quora is going to know more than the engineers that designed documented and built this vehicle. In other words, read the owners manual, and believe that it is 100% correct. Asking users on a website for advice when you have the requirements right there in front of you should be a warning sign for you. I grew up in an era before the internet was even something that was coming. Back in those days we would simply read the owners manual, and believe what we were reading. I don't know what happened to people that they would take advice from some anonymous person they have never met instead of believing the manual that was also written by a person they never met. If I wanted to question the content of the manual I would contact the author, not some anonymous group of people who very likely are simply parroting information.

What is the cutoff of being considered a 90's kid?

i was born in 85. i turned 5 in 90. 13 in 98. i remember alot of important history in the 90's for example, clintons first term, columbine, oaklahoma city bombing, kurt cobain, tupac, and biggies death.boy bands and korn were popular. britney spears was bangin hot. rugrats were popular. cleveland indians lost the world series and the browns left for baltimore. internet was rising, pagers were popular and cell phones were huge. i guess my real question is......can you consider someone born in 91 a 90's kid or a 2000's......or someone born in 89 a 90's kid?

What is it like to watch bamboo grow?

Watching real bamboo grow is a lot like watching grass grow, only faster. Bamboos include some of the fastest-growing plants in the world, due to a unique rhizome-dependent system. Certain species of bamboo can grow 91 cm (3 ft) within a 24-hour period, at a rate of almost 4 cm (1.5 in) an hour (a growth around 1 mm every 90 seconds, or one inch every 40 minutes).I recall reading of one ancient torture, which consisted simply of staking the unfortunate over a patch of fast growing bamboo. Don’t know if it is true, but does paint a gruesome picture, doesn’t it?

When you think of the 90's, what are the top 10 songs that immediately come to mind?

Several of the answers here have covered most of the songs I’d include, so I’ve gone for a more personal list of my favourite 90s tracks.Losing My Religion - REMREM have been described as the U2 it’s okay to like. This great track and idiosyncratic video summed up the ultimate of their 90 music.Missing - Everything But the GirlEBTG reinvented themselves with this haunting piece of Electronica.FireStarter - The ProdigyLikewise The Prodigy showed how guitars and punk could work in dance music.Design for Life - Manic Street PreachersIn the wake of the disappearance of Richey Edwards, the band released a more heartfelt and accessible album and started being taken seriously at last.High and Dry - RadioheadRadiohead always seem to struggle with the idea of artistic integrity and popularity, but seemed to hit it here.Driftwood - TravisA chord structure stolen from, and reference to, the Oasis hit Wonderwall, didn’t give Travis as big a hit, but I felt it was a better more intelligent song.Animal Nitrate - SuedeProto Britpop, Butler and Anderson at their best before it all went wrong.Groove is in the Heart - Deee-Lite (not sure how many Es are in that. There’s a 90s phrase if I ever heard one).Tried to do a rock version of this once. It was horrible. The ubiquitous early 90s dance track.Teardrop - Massive AttackA deliberately challenging song, using the beautifully delicate voice of Elizabeth Frazer.Rhythm is a Dancer - Snap!Very tacky, but if you want a tune that takes you back to summer clubbing in the 90s for me it’s this.
