I need to use PayPal, but I am underage?
Okay, so I am 16 years old. With Christmas coming up soon, I am going to be getting money, and I want to buy things online. My parents are very protective when it comes to buying online, since my Dad has had his identity stolen a few years back. I suggested PayPal and at the time, I thought that I could just set up my own bank account and connect it to my own PayPal account. I just found out that you need to be 18 to have a PayPal account. I told this to my parents, and they were not exactly comfortable setting up a PayPal and connecting it to THEIR bank account. My question is, can THEY set up a PayPal and connect it to MY bank account so I can buy online? If not, do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

I’m underage and someone sent me money through PayPal. Apparently, you only need email to send money to someone using PayPal, but the receiver can't claim the money without a PayPal account. How do I get the money?
To get the money, you should create a PP account with the email they sent to. If you log in, you should see the cash there.If you want physical cash, that might be a problem, since you need a bank account for that. On the other hand, plenty of sites accept PP payments, so you should be good.
Underage with Paypal?
So I want my own paypal as I do a bit of buying and selling. Im currently using my mums but its kind of annoying, and id prefer my own. I just went to register for one but as im under 18 it declined me. Just wandering, do you think anything would happen if i lied to paypal? I know it doesnt really matter if you say your a different age on other small sites or whatever but im not sure with paypal. So yea im not really sure, im 16 and it would just help if i had my own. I currently have my bank set up with her paypal so she doesnt even see the money, the accounts basicly mine and it would make no difference if I had my own account but yea. Do you think id get caught doing this? if so, what would be the likely outcome. I know that I could go to jail bla bla bla, but the most likely outcome if anyone knows would be nice. Ok. So I am 16 and signed up for paypal. I put in a false DOB and now realized that it is very fraudlent. I need help. I have 1,300.00 in the paypal account and transfered one thousand to someone. This flagged the account and I had to verify the transaction with a drivers license or utility bill. I am 16 not 18. I called paypal and told them that I am only 16. I had my mom speak with them as well. The man then said that the the 1000 transaction may go throught and may not. How long will this take? I told him that i was 16 and underage. i know it was stupid. he said paypal will freeze the account for 45 days. will i get my 1,300 dollars? This is ALOT of money for me and I need help. I want to know If paypal will give me my money or just take it since im underage. Should I call back and say something? Will i go to jail? Will i get charged for fraud? PLEASE I NEED HELP! Will paypal notice if I'm underage and withdraw money from my account?

First, I must ask why you don’t have a SSN? Do you live in a country outside the USA or are you illegally living in the USA? But rather than embarrass you by having to answer those questions I would suggest that you look up and try to understand the PayPal terms of service and if you feel that you meet all their requirements, contact them and lodge a formal complaint!I know that PayPal supports over 200 countries and regions through out the world.Unless you have falsified information or live in one of the non-supported areas, you should be able to retrieve your balance.Read their terms of service and conditions very carefully! At 15 years you may be prohibited from even establishing a PayPal account!
If my PayPal account is suspended, can I create a second account?
Can you? Yes. Should you? No.When I was 13 years old, I created a PayPal account and was transacting through it on my online game that I created. Later on, PayPal found out that I was underage and locked all of the funds in my account. I then created another account when I was 15 in which they found out and locked that account as well. Basically, I was banned from PayPal. I contacted customer service and it took about a year to get my funds out and at that point I was able to start over with PayPal.Anyways, I’ll never use PayPal again to conduct business.
If your underage can you bet online using paypal without being detected?
I'm afraid you can't use Paypal to gamble online in the US thanks to recent legislature. If you know someone with a credit card and is willing to front the money you can have them deposit the money in their name. However in that case, the money still legally belongs to the owner of said card, which means if they wanted the money you won, they could take it.. On a side note, you should take a look at BetOnline. It's one of the few online poker/gambling sites availible to US player. The deposit is secure and the players are easy money. (at least in poker) Whatever the case, good luck, and be smart with your money.
