If I Have Pain In My. Shoulder

Pain in my shoulder and down my arm?

Actually it probably has a lot to do with it.
A pain radiating down your arm from a muscle cramp is likely a pinched nerve in your neck.

Alternate a hot shower with ice - yes, ice- and try to do some stretches.

A good brisk walk will also help to relax you in general - you should do this for at least 15 minutes every day, preferably a few times. Exercise helps work up endorphins, and endorphins fend off stress.

Ask your doctor for a referral to an orthopedic doctor so they can take a good look at this and help you.
And make sure your computer and the place you sit a lot is adjusted correctly for you, so you don't spend long hours in the wrong position.

Make sure your vision is good- squinting and straining to see will wreck your neck and head muscles as well. If you wear glasses, you may need new ones.

Try sleeping without a pillow - often your neck can get into the wrong position. No pillow means this cannot happen.

Get off wheat and all gluten products - it really helps more than you'll realize.
Whest is causing a LOT of people to have problems, which affect mood and weight, and can actually cause inflammation, pain and sleep loss - all stuff that can lead to anxiety attacks. You won't die without eating gluten products, and it may just help you a lot. Worth a try!

I have a sever pain in my shoulder. What could it be?

I would guess bursitis, since the other tests have ruled out other diagnosis. The bursa sack may have lost it's synovial fluid resulting in bone rubbing bone and causing the irritation. Take a minute and think what you might be doing in a repetitive pattern: are you playing tennis? do you work in a factory? are you lifting weights? Or it may be the way you are sleeping and the type of pillow you sleep with. You can find relief by using a second pillow to elevate your arm and elbow and keep the strain off of your shoulder during the night. Your posture sleeping should be the same as when you stand up straight. No propping up your head to where your chin hits your chest. This can irritate nerves in your neck and cause shoulder pain. I would say that taking OTC anti-inflammatories (aspirin, ibuprofen) with food, heat (pad or shower) and not using the limb (perhaps putting your arm in a sling) so it can heal might give you relief. You might also request a cortisone injection from your doctor. However, too many of these can damage your joints also. But at some point, there is just so much pain you can take. If these things fail, a chiropractor might be able to realign your spine and give you relief. I hope you find the answer and Godloveya!

I have back pain near my shoulder blade?

I have had back pain right around my left shoulder blade and it radiates to my underarm. It feels like muscle but I am just not sure. I went to my doctor, she told me it was a bunch of knotted muscles and told me to see a chiropractor. I also got a good massage, neither helped. I am not sure what else I can do. I was also prescribed valium as a muscle relaxer but that has not helped much either.

I have a pain in my left shoulder and left upper part of my chest HELP?

I have a pain in my left shoulder and left upper part of my chest, it also somtimes hurts on my leftbisept part of my arm. It also somtimes get the same annoying feeling on my right arm.
Hi, this pain happends randomly for 2 months now. It dosn't get worse when I
exercise. I smoke 3-4 smokes a day. Im am a male, age 16.
The pain is mild, it dosn't hurt... but its annoying. When I get drunk the pain goes away for
about a week, so mabey its a effect of an anxiety disorder? I dont worry too much
but I worry a lot about the pain being like a heart disease or somthing bad. Somtimes I even get a back pain... It dosn't hurt when i breath or when my heart beats fast.

Can you rule out an anxiety disorder??

How should I tell my coach about my shoulder pain?

The trick I learned from having pitched in baseball for years was when your arm hurt a lot try to stand in one place and throw a ball as high over your head as possible (like throwing yourself a high pop fly) If you can't or if the pain is too excruciating you probably want to see the physical therapist. If you can do that than it's probably just a strain.
Because admitting to having pain is at times viewed as a weakness I understand your desire to play through the pain. However your health is more important than the teams performance. Imagine if you're in the bottom of the 7th inning, your team is winning by 1 run, and there are runners on 2nd and 3rd and the ball is hit to you. Then because your arm hurts and you didn't tell anyone you throw the ball away and two runs score and your team loses. Would you tell your coach then? How would you feel? And more importantly how would you feel if that were one of your teammates that cause your team to lose because they kept their injury secret?
