What will happen if I don't eat for 30 days? I wanted to try this challenge that has been trending. Basically you only drink water for 20–30 days. I am kind of overweight and want to lose weight kinda fast.

You will lose weight… a lot of weight. The weight loss is drastic and people will take notice, But chances are high that you will regain the weight over the following months. It can be done, I did it for 32 days. Was shooting for 40 but at 32 I really started to get light headed and dizzy. First 3 days are the toughest, after that it becomes easier. You will feel weaker but not abnormally weak if you are a fairly healthy person. You will suffer once you start eating again, there will be a few days of very loose stools. As your body starts the whole digestive process again. I did it because I was really really miserable in my life at the time and I wanted to restart/refocus my life. I wasn't really planning on going the 32 days when I first started. Then once a week or so passed I decided to try to do it 40 days. On the side note, I have tried to fast for a few days in a row since then and I cannot do it,:) just goes to show myself how upset my life was at the time.:). Am I glad I did it? Yeah I think so, I'm a big challenge kinda person so it makes me feel like I've accomplished something that most people haven't. Do I feel like my life was at risk?? No, not until day 32 came. At that point I decided it was in my best interest to stop.I did drink carbonated water at meal times. All other times it was strictly water, tea or coffee. Although I did quit drinking coffee after awhile, too acidic on an empty stomach.

What happens if you don't eat or drink for 7 days?

Amino acids start to break down into glucose to provide energy to the body. This means body started eating itself. Breakdown of body occurs & finally death occurs in as little as 3 weeks.To conclude, if you don't eat for 7 days; breakdown of body proteins, i.e. amino acids into glucose will take place. But you would become damn irritated, lethargic due to insufficient energy but will not die. But if you don't eat after that & give more pain to your body, all pain will be washed out & almighty would take you with himself.But if don't drink for 7 days, you will surely die. What will happen if I don’t eat but just drink water for 30 days?

This was already done by the magician David blaine but he did it for 44 days. He was kept in a small glass box hanging by Tower Bridge in London. This whole fast was televised by Sky. During the fast he experienced symptoms such as dizziness and nausea. He also felt weaker.After the 44 days he was immediately sent to Hospital where the Doctors performed a number of tests in order to get a better understanding of what happens to someones body when they fast that long. He lost a lot of weight as was to be expected. Overall he lost 24.5 kg (25 percent of his original body weight). He also suffered some nutritional deficiencies. His body wasn’t as strong and so the doctors had to slowly reintroduce foods into his body. To read more about it. What will happen if I only drink fruit juice?

How much juice will you be drinking?  Regardless of how much you drink, nothing noticeable will happen.  You will live.  Your teeth would erode more than usual, due to contact with so much acid throughout the day -- use a straw.  If it is just for a few (< 5?) days, there won't be much change in your blood chemistry, as you will be burning off most of the calories.  You will probably lose some weight, as it would be very hard to get ~2,000 calories from juice alone.  You would need to drink over 4 liters (over a gallon) of OJ in a day to get 2,000 calories.  That's about 18 servings of 250 ml (8 fl oz) each.  I doubt you would drink that much (***please don't***).But the question is, why is your appetite gone?  And is there nothing else you feel like eating or drinking?  Milk?  Oats?  Fruits?  Even just toasted bread with butter, honey, jam, or cream cheese?  Yogurt?  Nuts?  Seeds?  Dried fruits?  If all you can handle is juice, at least try eating fruits (fresh or dry)... that's far better, fruit will keep you fuller for longer and will give you more nutrients.Hope you can sort out whatever the issue is!  :)

First of all don't do this it is stupid. I don't know how much weight you would lose. I once not by choice could basically not eat for two weeks without becoming violently ill. Basically after two days I stopped eating. I felt like crap, had no energy, i was dizzy, i lost muscle mass, and I lost focus of everything. After two weeks, I finally went to a doctor. Their solution was don't eat anything and then eat very little.the doctor specified specific foods. Grand total i ate maybe 4000 calories in a month. I had no negative long term physical impacts of doing this. However my appetitefor food was gone, I was emanciated, I felt and looked like crap,I still dont have healthy views on food and I suffered emotional distress over the occurance. Eating Is important. I would suggest using anotherhealthier approach to your weightloss goals

I have gone without food for 8 days . In herbal medicine or naturopathy workshops it is common to go on just water fast for 21 days . I have heard of people who have gone upto 60 days without food , just water but that we will call as exceptional .The first two days without food are the worst . One keeps feeling pangs of hunger and mind is occupied with images of food . But the third day onwards , suddenly the hunger pangs cease . From then it is smooth sailing . One is not supposed to engage in physical labour at this time , but concentration increases , the body feels light , the mind feels light . Defecation generally stops on the third day , fifth day onwards sweat starts to smell really bad , headache is a common thing , does not matter how much water you drink the urine turns dark and smelly , sometime body ache steps in , sixth day on the body energy begins to wane . This is the time to call off fasting . These things vary greatly from person to person depending on many factors .The fasting has to be done under medical supervision or with the guidance a qualified naturopath .Especially in case of people who are above 50 , or have diabetes or blood pressure special precautions have to be taken as the body parameters may go haywire during the course of the fast .The effects of the fast are all there to see . Even a three day fast does a lot of good . After the fast is over one feels the new surge of energy for over a fortnight , skin glows , headaches go away , sweat does not smell so bad and concentration increases .You may want to try it out under proper supervision .

By drinking just plain water for a week and not taking any food or mineral supplements you risk the loss of too many electrolytes (minerals, especially sodium and potassium) from your body.
