If I Ordered Something On Last Sunday And It Was 5-6 Business Days Does That Mean It Might Come On

If I ordered something on last Sunday and it was 5-6 business days, does that mean it MIGHT come on Saturday (today)?

Delivery is calculated from the date the seller hands the parcel to the carrier, and not from the date the order was placed. The carrier being used will also impact when the item is actually delivered to the destination address.

FedEx will deliver on non-holiday business days, Monday through Friday. There is an extra charge to the shipping cost if Saturday delivery is added. So, using FedEx Express Saver service, a parcel shipped on 15 September would be delivered to the destination address on 22 September.

FedEx Priority Overnight - 1 business day

With the United Parcel Service (UPS) shipping options, even Saturday delivery is available if the seller selects the option when creating the shipping label. So, using UPS Ground service, a parcel shipped on 15 September would be delivered to the destination address on 22 September.

UPS Next Day Air Saver - one day transit
UPS 2nd Day Air - 2 day transit

The United States Postal Service (USPS) service does deliver on Saturday. But if the seller is Amazon and the customer resides in one of the major metropolitan areas where a partnership with USPS lets Amazon customers get parcel deliveries on Sunday, delivery date possibilities just increased.

USPS Priority Mail Express - mailed 15 September, delivered 17 September
USPS Priority Mail - mailed 15 September, delivered 18 September
USPS Standard Post - mailed 15 September, delivered 22 September

What does it mean when they say delivered within 7 business days?

Stephenie Vadavas took the answer straight out of my mouth. Mondays to Friday's are working days so 7 working days excludes Saturday's and Sunday's.So if you ordered a package from an e-commerce store on Wednesday then applying the 7 working days, the package should arrive at its destination on Thursday of the next week.Cheers.

If i ordered shoes on a Friday and it says 3-5 business days how long will it take to get them?

We don't know. Saturday and Sunday do not count as business days, so we can <> between Wednesday and the following Tuesday.

Really, though, it depends a lot on how long it is between the time you place the order and when they actually get shipped. We have no idea how long that will be. If they don't ship for two weeks, <> the 3-5 days for shipping starts.

In shipping, what does "business days" mean?

In shipping, a business day refers to an official working day - weekends and holidays are excluded. This does vary in different regions. In North America, a business day is typically Monday to Friday. In the Middle East, a business day may be Sunday to Thursday. It is always good to clarify. To illustrated this with an example, a shipment term of “5 business days” starting June 16 would mean delivery June 22 - you skip the weekend. In aviation, this type of information is critical when planning the arrival of parts to be timed with field service. If you counted the weekends and sent a field rep early, you may pay for 2 extra days of very valuable (aka expensive) tech time.Essentially, shipment companies will have more control of a product during regular working time. If you want product pushed over weekends and holidays, you will be charged at a premium.

What exactly does 'five business days' mean?

A "business day" is a working day, typically Monday through Friday in the United States, unless it is a holiday. Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days.Common holidays in the US are New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day in some areas, Thanksgiving Day (and, since Thanksgiving is on a Thursday, often the day after Thanksgiving), and Christmas Day. The US federal government observes a few more holidays, and state or local governments and private businesses may observe a different set.Five business days would then be five days, only counting the days that are not excluded above. You would not count a holiday or a weekend day as a business day.

What does "3 business days" mean?

In the Western world, 'business days' are traditionally Monday to Friday, with Saturday and Sunday marking the weekend. Of course, for good or ill, fewer are working the traditional working week, but you'll find that many customer-facing businesses are only open between 9:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday. Try getting an appointment with a lawyer or a medical specialist or any Government office outside these hours. So '5 business days' (or any number of business days) indicates a number of traditional working days before something happens. So if today is Wednesday and a business you are dealing with says that you will be paid in 5 business days, I would take that to mean that you will be paid on the following Wednesday. In practice, 5 business days normally means a week. If there is a public holiday within the next week, say the following Monday, then in the example I gave, you would not expect to be paid before the following Thursday.Often someone might say something will take 'up to' 5 business days. That means, if today is Wednesday, it will happen next Wednesday or sooner (assuming no public holiday before then). I would ring up and complain early on the morning of Thursday next week if it hadn't happened by then.

How long is 5 to 6 business days?

"Business" days are work-week days... Monday to Friday. If you ordered it on a Wednesday, and it takes 5 business days, you will get it on the following Wednesday. (1. Thursday 2. Friday 3. Monday 4. Tuesday 5. Wednesday)

What is meant by business hours as opposed to business days?

Business days typically only run Monday through Friday with many businesses being closed on the weekends. If you order something online and it says it will be delivered in 5–7 business days, that’s 5–7 days from that date without counting the weekends. Business hours on the other hand, vary business by business. Typical business hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, local time, but different businesses may be open at different times.
