If I Reply To A Yahoo Groups Post Just The Sender And Not The Whole Group Via The Yahoo Groups

Why do all group e-mails now come from sender groupname@yahoogroups.com?

The From: field was previously populated with the sender's Yahoo! ID or display name, but now most just come from the name of the group @yahoogroups.com.

The actual format is:
From: " [groupname]"

It used to be:
From:

I use Thunderbird to read Group e-mails and unless the author signs their message, I've no idea who has written them as they all show groupname@yahoogroups.com as the sender.

Please change this back.

Regards,

Martin.

How do I stop unsolicited requests to join yahoo groups? (most are adult sites saying I asked), I didn't?

am constantly receiving e-mails from yahoo groups called sexy adult web cams etc....stating that they recieved my request to join and what to do to complete the joining process. I have never requested to join anything like this and dont knwo what to do to stop it. I have written to Yahoo without success, reported it as spam without success. If someone is doing this to me, how is it being done and what can be done? I asked this before and was told to change my password. I did and it had NO effect. Can't tahoo help me with this?

Hacked yahoo group spam?

** It's not a hacker. It's a virus members get that attacks the address books of member. You can tell this since most always there is more than one address in that To Field. The only way to prevent it is members keeping their virus protection updated.

Like I said, the members list has not been updating for months and it affects smaller groups than larger ones. This is a known issue. Since you have a small group, that's probably why you cant locate the member and until now didn't realize this glitch affected your group. My groups get those same spam e-mails- but my groups are huge so the glitch doesn't affect me.
To ban an e-mail address or yahoo ID, you go to the members list-
Invite People | Remove | Ban | Download | Export Click the Ban, enter the info in the box.
FYI: Most members have no clue they have a virus, so banning a member you cant see may result in banning an actual good member. Yahoo needs to reset your group.

Groups aren't hacked. There's generally a group setting which explains it. To management- under group settings messages- postings and archives (edit) make sure who can post is set to members- click save changes-
Member lists also have a glitch of not updating. So they could be a member, you just cant locate them.
You can also ban that addresses within the members list.

Messages Reply To : setting no longer works in Yahoo groups. Now all message replies go only to everyone.?

The "Messages Reply To:" setting no longer works in Yahoo groups. Now all message replies go only to everyone. How do you set a group so only the sender gets replies????

How to reply to original sender without including subsequent messages forwarded to others?

I just got an e-mail. I forwarded it to another correspondent with an added message. Now I want to reply only to the original sender, but my added message is attached to the original e-mail. I cannot reply to the sender without including my message to the person to whom I forwarded the e-mail.

I found instructions in Yahoo Mail help for deleting one message in a conversation, but the instructions are incorrect. It says to expand the message, click "more" in the toolbar, and click on "Delete message". However, there is no "Delete message" option in the "more" menu.

Besides, I don't really want to delete my added message to trash, I just want to reply to the original message without including the added message.

Also besides: in any case, if I click the reply button for the conversation, it sets up a reply to the recipient of the last communication, the one forwarded. The address of the sender of the original message is hidden. If I click on the name of the original sender, the e-mail address does not appear, nor is there a menu including "save this sender and address to contacts," "send a new message to this sender only," "view the e-mail address behind this name," or anything like that.

What a mess! What used to be normal, easy and intuitive is now impossible! And worst of all, your new help messages are incorrect, as I also found this morning trying to solve a problem with Yahoo weather. I'm dreading the changeover to the new My Yahoo!

I have a broadcast group of 104 members in WhatsApp. When I send a broadcast message, some members get the message while some don't. Why aren't the messages delivered to all?

Yeah i got your point. But yes your message is sent by WhatsApp to all the members in your broadcast list. The problem is that they are not receiving it.I will explain in detail.WhatsApp has a feature that if someone don't save your contact then that person will not receive your broadcast messages.Suppose i don't have your contact and im in your broadcast list. So when you will send any message to broadcast list, it will be received by all others but not me, coz as i said i don't have your contact. So first of all ask all your students to save your number so that they can receive notes sent by you.Enjoy..

How to disable neo groups and revert to classic?

It seems Yahoo just can't leave well enough alone. Just like they did with our Email accounts, they have "improved" our Groups. I would love to get my classic email back, and the classic groups. Any chance of that happening?
