If I Reset My Data Usage Statistics On My Iphone Will I Get Charged

What does "reset statistics" under cellular usage mean for the iphone 4?

Your iPhone has a usage counter for cellular data and cellular (voice) minutes.

Resetting statistics sets the counters back to zero. The usage counter is helpful for people who are carefully tracking their cellular usage, as they might be on plans with limits.

It's similar to the trip odometer in a car. Resetting it to zero keeps track of the usage since the reset. It doesn't change how much gas you have in your car or add additional life to your tires.

I accidentally reset my whatsapp statistics, how do I get back my previous statistics?

Unfortunately you cannot get back the statistics that you have reset. The statistics are recorded by the App itself and is stored locally within your app and your phone. Once the statistics are reset, the stats are deleted forever from your phone.Remember: Next time you try to reset your statistics, make sure you take a screenshot of the same for future references.

Why don't my periodic iPhone usage statistics reset?

As Ross points out, you have to do this manually.iOS has no way of automatically knowing what your billing period even is, nor how your data usage is calculated (e.g. if you use a prepaid data bucket, or have rollover data). Apple would have to provide somewhere for you to enter this information — it can’t figure it out — and thus far Apple hasn’t done this.

What will happen if I reset my cellular useage?

I have an iPhone 5 and I don't have a lot of storage left, so I went into settings and deleted some apps, but that barely did anything. There was something that said cellular usage and I clicked on it and it told me I have like 2 GB of received messages. First of all, does this have anything to do with my problem, and second, if I hit the button that says "reset statistics" what will happen?

What happens when you press the reset statistics?

How do I reset my lifetime call time on my iPhone?

do not worry about that Only way is to restore the phone and set it up as a new device. Any use of the backup transfers that information over from previous devices. and also I have recently upgraded from iPhone4 to iPhone5. I restored from backup to maintain all SMS and call history. This is important and I do not want to setup the new iPhone as new device.
Why does the "Lifetime" usage of all previous devices transfer to the new phone? I have had the phone for 4 days yet it says I have 30 Days of "Call Time"
Any touch of "Reset Statistics" does not effect Lifetime settings however the Lifetime usage of this new phone should only be around 3 hours.
Anyone know how to have the correct usage figure for this new device without having to set up as new? Thanks.
