What does "reset statistics" under cellular usage mean for the iphone 4?
Your iPhone has a usage counter for cellular data and cellular (voice) minutes. Resetting statistics sets the counters back to zero. The usage counter is helpful for people who are carefully tracking their cellular usage, as they might be on plans with limits. It's similar to the trip odometer in a car. do not worry about that Only way is to restore the phone and set it up as a new device. Any use of the backup transfers that information over from previous devices. and also I have recently upgraded from iPhone4 to iPhone5. I restored from backup to maintain all SMS and call history. This is important and I do not want to setup the new iPhone as new device. Why does the "Lifetime" usage of all previous devices transfer to the new phone? I have had the phone for 4 days yet it says I have 30 Days of "Call Time" Any touch of "Reset Statistics" does not effect Lifetime settings however the Lifetime usage of this new phone should only be around 3 hours. Anyone know how to have the correct usage figure for this new device without having to set up as new? Thanks.
