If I Restore My Netbook Thats Mean All The Software That Installed In Will Be Delete Is It

Does factory resetting your computer delete all its viruses and malware. If so, how do you do this?

What type of malware are we talking about? First, 2 types of Malware survive formating :Bootkits (malware, that infects boot sector). It will be deleted if you restore Master Boot Record only and that is not done in all cases by format alone.Bios viruses, that are not that common for PCs as they are complex to write and can do very little.Malware in computer related hardware however is quite popular for other hardware: routers, phones, etc. Then there is question of reinfecting PC almost at once:Bad, infected backups.Apps that store data in cloud, including (possibly) malicious settings. For example, Google Chrome malicious add-ons might get reinstalled by syncing data.Network Worms, that affect whole network.

Which of the Acer preinstalled apps in an Acer laptop can I safely uninstall without removing anything important to the system?

I know I’m wasting my time with this, but I feel compelled to say something. Your logic is faulty. Those applications have been there since you first got the laptop. When it was speedy. How can they be to blame for it running slower? They didn’t slow it down when it wasn’t showing any lag. There are multiple other, and BETTER options for you to try. Have you tried cleaning the computer with any anti-malware tools? Don’t assume your Anti-Virus suite makes you invulnerable. It doesn’t. It is like a bullet-proof vest. You can still get shot in the arms, legs and head… but your chances of survival are greater with the vest. Same with Anti-Virus. So. Just because your AV suite doesn’t tell you that you are infected, that doesn’t mean you don’t have a bunch of new crap you’ve picked up since you started using the laptop. You could bring it to a shop, a small independent repair shop and pay for a cleaning. You could back up your important pictures, documents, music, and movies to a secure location (like a flash drive or external hard drive) and perform a factory recovery or a Windows reset. Both of those options would result in a speedier computer.Removing software that has been trouble-free and NOT causing you a problem since the moment you started using the computer, and expecting your problems to go away? That’s not going to do it.By the way… have you made your Recovery Media yet? You know… in case the lag gets so bad you CAN’T use the one in the system?

How long should it take to install sysprep - factory mode?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Sysprep is a very small tool that's included in Windows XP / Vista / 7 and is used to prepare a computer to be imaged. It isn't something that needs to be installed, it takes about one minute to run to completion, and it isn't related to system restore or OEM recovery tools.

What I'm guessing the problem is, is that you're running a factory restore from the OEM recovery partition and it appears to have frozen. You don't have any backups, so if it fails and prevents the computer from starting again, you're screwed. Am I on track?

A factory restore, if it runs anything like the backup utility in Windows, can probably take several hours to complete. If you leave the computer overnight and it's still where you left it when you go back to it in the morning, then you may have to abort the restore attempt. It's best not to interrupt the process until you are absolutely certain that it's not responding, otherwise you will not be able to get the computer to boot back up without a recovery or installation DVD. If the restore fails and the computer won't boot back into the recovery partition, then you will have to change the boot flag manually with a liveCD partition manager like Gparted, and then you will be able to try again.

Virus deleted my spider solitaire...?

I got rid of the virus, but it took some files with it. I tried restoring, but it only works for about a week, then disappears again. I don't have a windows cd because I have a small netbook without a cd drive. I don't want anything fancy, just the original spider solitaire that it came with.

Also, the same happened with paint. Please help.

After hibernating the acer netbook it showed "BOOTMGR MISSING" AND asking for laptop to restart?

BOOTMGR is missing means the FIRST BOOT DEVICE does not have
a valid BOOT sector.

ask yourself these questions
1) did i leave my usb stick inserted? pull it out
2) did i leave an SDcard in the socket? pull it out
3) did i leave a CD in the drive? pull it out

On an ACER pc the ALT F10 option only works if
D2D(disk to Disk) is enabled in the BIOS
it also only works if you still have your Hidden recovery partition which some
people Forgot they deleted when they installed a different OS using the cd their mate
gave them to try.

remember BIOS changes only take effect after you SAVE them.
ALT F10 only allowed whilst ACER logo is displayed.

this should be treated as a LAST RESORT option, as most BOOTMGR missing
are fixable using microsoft FIXMBR options from a windows BOOT cd to command prompt.

Dell inspiron computer. ( mic not plugged in ) PLEASE HELP!!!! 10 points!!?

Is your Mic connected to the right port on the Pc? Also did it come with the computer when you bought or did you buy it afterwards? Because if you bought it afterwards, then you have to install the driver of the Mic to work with the Computer, because the computer probably recognizes it but doesn't know what to do with it. So you probably have to install the driver that came with it (on the CD or go to the Company's website and then search for your model, then the latest driver for the device. Hopefully this will work!
