Will I lose weight if I stop eating bread and dessert?

So I am trying to lose a few pounds by mid June and I was wondering if I would lose weight and if so how much, by cutting out all breads and all desserts.


I excercise at the gym for at least four times a week; no less than 1 and 1/2 hours each time.

I only drink water and diet soda a few times a week so I just wanted to know if the no bread, no desserts/sweets thing would significantly help me lose weight by my goal time (June) because I have been at the same weight for months and months it doesn't go any higher and won't go any lower so please help.

Also I have been starting to drink Lipton hot tea at home with a bit of honey. Is that going to cancel out the skipping dessert thing becuase of the sweets in the honey?

NO white BREAD or SUGAR

NO FRIED FOOD...

Stay away from FAST FOOD

Walk your dog, or walk a friends dog

Don't think of it as a diet, but think of it as a lifestyle change

I have lost 25.5 pounds in 2 months, drink lots of water. I usually eat a meal of what ever I want once a week....controlled portion....this really works.........

Avoid eating bread to lose weight?

Is it true that you should avoid eating bread if you want to lose weight? I have quite a bit of weight to lose to get to my "normal weight" (about 80 pounds or so) and I want to do some little things to make it easier on myself.

I've already cut soft drinks out of my diet and I have made it a point to stop eating after dinner. I'm also working out and eating a lot of fruit and vegetables. My one weakness though is bread. I love bread and it's hard for me to give up. Any ideas or thoughts?

Drink more water, and drink tea. Why? ...because you can control the sweetner. Use splenda or sweetner of that calibre, because it is lower in sugar.

Make certain you are eating though. Eat lighter, but eat healthy. More fruit and vegetables and meat. Meat meaning, regular meat, but tuna, fish, and egg will count for protein/meat.

Exercising will help also...as simple as walking.

also, don't eat rice, bread, crackers, only one DIET soda per day(a can not a 64once bucket), no pasta, nothing that comes out of a box(like hamburger helper), and enemy #1 = potatoes don't eat any kind of potato period no chips, not mashed, not instant, not any period. also if you have to eat bread limit yourself to two peices of WHEAT bread per day no white bread at all. also eat four not three small meals per daythis will allow your body to not need to store any fat.

p.s. don't starve yourself you will lose weight in the wrong places and will look just as bad as a fatty.

and the starvation mode the other answerer metioned is real, when you stop eating your metabolism slows way down and tries its best to keep all of the fat storage that it possibly can.

i need to lose a couple of pounds and i've been thinking of becoming a vegetarian not only for weight issues but for my health too. i don't eat bread or any wheat product, drink soda or juicy (i only drink water), i dont eat fast foods, pasta, or anything sweet. and i exercise like crazy.. so my question is will i lose weight if i stop eating meat or will it screw up my metabolism?
