That depends on if by ceasing carb consumption your calorie intake becomes lower than your calories burned. You could eat nothing but carbs and lose weight (just not in a healthy manner). Weight (fat) loss occurs when your body burns more calories than it consumes.

Is cutting out all carbs healthy? No, not at all. Your body needs carbs for energy and good health. Never cut out all of anything (carbs, protein, fats, etc). You simply need to learn to eat healthy ones. Avoid processed (white) carbs...things with white flour, white sugar. Go for complex (brown) carbs...wheat or whole grain breads, pastas, etc. That's the key to eating carbs in a healthy way...and realize that many fruits and veggies naturally have carbs as well (and that's fine).

What you need to do to lose weight is simple...eat right and exercise. Make a lifestyle change. Give your body the nutrition it needs, but in calorie amounts less than what you burn each day through just living and with additional exercise. Keep your calories over 1200 a day however (lower than that slows your metabolism).

Try to exercise at least 1 hr a day, at least 5 days a week....with a healthy eating plan and all that activity, weight loss should be happening in no time!

Yep, humans are mostly plant eaters, you do need meat for your B12 vitamin, because you can't get that in fruits and vegetables. I think you should stay away from vitamin pills, I think they are a consumer product, nothing else. It can be hard for some people to afford good food, but remember that added protein in chicken, if you are not exercising and burning it off, will stick to you as fat. Plant protein is more healthier than animal protein! Also too much meat I think is contributing to our obesity issue, there would be a lot of medications put into non organic meat.

However, eating a low carb diet can throw the body into a condition called ketosis, in which the body can begin to use its fat reserves more quickly and in extreme cases can begin to absorb nutrients from its own muscle mass in an attempt to compensate for the lack of carbs in the diet. I've tried it both ways, and I found that a low carb diet can help you lose weight more quickly but you really won't lose much more weight in the long run than you would if you simply cut your caloric intake.

try, cutting out half of what you eat now, and make it brown rice. drink water and exercise. Theres nothing wrong with rice its your diet. im a model im 5'5 and i weigh about 112. and heres a secret.. LOTS of Protein. less carbs(rice). I take in about 80-250grams of protein a day,carb i try to shoot for under 50 grams. just a thought.
