What is up with this Capricorn guy?
I'm an Aquarius who is head over heels for this Capricorn. I've had a crush on him for a long time. We ended up running into eachother at a concert and hung out for a while then he invited me back to his place which I gladly accepted. We hooked up and exchanged numbers. I have him in a class this semester. We didn't really talk much after that but he would always stare at me in class and smile but never approach me. I kept running into him everywhere! I would text him and ask him to hang out and he would always have a polite excuse. I figured he's not into me so I backed off. He would text me randomly in class but never really initiates anything. We've gotten in a argument over this and he simply shut down and refused to argue with me. I really like him but I'm not sure why he's acting like this. I managed to get him to hang out last week after class and he was really sweet and maintaining good eye contact etc but he never takes initiative and is being difficult. I like him, what is he doing?
Why are Capricorns misunderstood?
There are many reasons why a Capricorn could be misunderstood. Ignoring moon, rising, and houses, imagine we have somebody with a Capricorn dominant chart, there’s a lot of complexity, from one sign alone. Capricorns have a blend of Virgo and Taurus, with additional traits as you travel through the zodiac, and are one of the later signs (the tenth sign). Usually, the later in the zodiac, the more “complexity”. Quotation marks as I’m unsure how much I believe that as a standard, but the complexity I refer to here, is moreso what’s chosen to be revealed. For example, an Aries, will just be very upfront with what they want, feel, and how they are. What you see, is what you get, and with that, you can get an incredibly flippant and hot and cold individual. With the goat, they avoid this, they’re here for the long haul, and instead, is based off a more grounded way of thinking, not always happy to, but prepared to wait. There will always be time to understand a Capricorn, but people rarely understand they need time. This sign is so prepared to be patient, usually. There’s not much true expression of intent, and I feel that’s where Capricorns are misunderstood. They’re ruled by the slow moving planet, Saturn. Capricorns will restrict themselves, in order for long term goals, hopes, and even in their expression, most will follow this as if a personal rule inflicted on themselves, they must perform to their own standards (a true Capricorn at least); this can change from person to person, what that means, but most will choose not to reveal much of themselves all at once, and that, from my perspective, is honestly why they’re misunderstood. There are a lot of pieces that make up a Capricorn, and they aren’t conventionally prepared to lay them out on the table for everyone to see. They want to see a commitment to knowing them before they tell you anything!
Aries and Capricorns are so difficult together, but hard to break?
I believe that is the nature of Cardinal or square relationships. I've shared similar feelings. I'm a cardinal sign who dated a cardinal sign just like you are. We broken up and gotten back together so many times that I've lost count. Cardinal signs are great at beginning things, but not always finishing them. I know what you mean though.
