On the other hand, Manchester City has punished top six teams such as Liverpool and Chelsea. As a United fan, there is still hope; the first stretch of games looked promising for the club. As Poga was injured during the Basel game, our play has seemed to go down with Fellaini even getting hurt as well. The next problem is injuries. Jones and Smalling have been injured in crucial periods in the past few seasons. Once they settle in, they become injured and recover and get injured again the loop continues. It is very important to keep fit and get a rythm. Then van Gaal has to find his best center defence pairing. Smalling would be a mainstay I guess and Rojo would be his other half. Blind, Jones, Evans and McNair are good backup options. Carrick can play there if necessary. So we arent badly stocked there.Now coming to attack, goalscoring has been a problem this season. We've never looked like scoring for sure. Rooney has to pick up and Mata and Herrera are key.Midfield is very good with Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger as primary pair. Attack will come good as the season goes.Taking into account other teams, Chelsea and Arsenal have had slow starts. City have been brilliant. But if we can play our game, we can beat them well.Consistancy in defence and relativly injury free season and we have a good chance.After all, We're Manchester United and We do what we want!
