If you had to move to the middle east, what country would you choose?
Israel. I've lived there for 8 years, from the day I was born up until my departure to the USA. You have no idea how much I miss my home country! It was so beautiful. I have such sweet memories from it. Sure, there's always tension, but we will rise above those haters eventually. God is on our side :)
What is the best Middle Eastern/Muslim country for expats to live in: Turkey, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait or another?
If you want a large salary, go to Qatar, where although the costs are the highest in the region, the average salary is $120,000.For a better, more relaxed lifestyle, go to Turkey, probably the friendliest country of the four, and of course compared to the rental cost of an apartment in Qatar ($2500) and the UAE ($2000), a nice apartment in Istanbul or Ankara will cost about $900 per month. For a more westernized lifestyle, go to the UAE, where the majority of ME region expats are going, and of course it has more job opportunities than the other countries. These are major countries, but you did miss a few that I will point out to you.Not many people think of this as a foreigner-friendly place, but Iran is getting more and more opportunities for foreigners by the minute. If you are a professional, check out Recruitment & Jobs for Iranian Professionals, where there are currently 1000 jobs available. The salary for english teachers is low in Iran's public schools, at about $1500/month, but rent in central Tehran is only about $350/month for a studio (goes cheaper when you head south), and the salary for private school teachers runs at about $3000/month, higher than the $2000 standard in China. Plus locals are very welcoming to foreigners. This is a growing destination, that has overcome the uprisings in 2011. Bahrain has a growing job market, and is much cheaper than neighbouring states Qatar and the UAE, with average rent at about $1250, half of the Qatari standard, and is widely renowned as one of the more liberal states of the gulf region. Finally, not many people view a destination with zero elections as a great place to live, but you'll be surprised. Oman is also known as a more liberal destination in the gulf, and is, behind Iran, the cheapest destination, where a 2-bed apartment runs at about $650, with cheaper accomodations available. Oman has jobs in almost every sector because of the fact that Oman has less oil than its richer neighbours, and has a much more relaxed lifestyle than the other states. Oman's government has diverted most terrorist threats, and is very safe. For all these countries, check out http://bayt.com for jobs in all these nations, and there is also aljazeera jobs and classifieds and community for expatriates. Good luck!
Is Dubai the best middle eastern country for a western girl to visit?
I've always been fascinated with the Arab world, and have been wanting to visit. A guy I know told me that the best country for a single western girl to visit would be Dubai. I don't know much about the country, but it sounds interesting. What is there to see and do? Is it ok for a girl to go there by herself? How expensive is it?
Sharia and Democracy Muslims live in non-Islamic countries? 5Q!?
Why do many Muslims live in non-Islamic countries? Why don’t they live in countries which are run by the Islamic law (Sharia)? Why do they want to live in countries which are run by infidel law (Democracy)? Do Muslims who live under infidel law (Democracy) enjoy it? Enjoy it more than (Sharia)? Do westerners (non-Muslims) live under the Islamic law (Sharia)? If so, do they enjoy it?
Why don't Muslims migrate to other Muslim countries instead of the West?
As it stands today, the so called Muslim countries don't really follow true Islam, and especially the teachings of social welfare and justice system of Islam. The real Islam is overtaken by various new and innovative versions of Islam, which, for the sake of this question we can call Islam 2. Various Islam 2.x versions of Islam, which are benefitting only the extremists, politicians, thugs, corrupt, royals and the rich, have made the so called Muslim countries very unattractive places to live. Remember, matters of the state and matters of religion has a separation in a true Islamic system, but we see the opposite in most of the Muslim countries these days. The Western countries maintain a separation between religion and state matters, and by far and large follow the social system which doesn't exist in most of the Muslim countries any longer, and which actually indeed was there in many of the Muslim countries until few decades ago (1970s), up until the rise of the extremists. The above is the major reason why citizens, whether Muslims or not, of the so called Muslim countries, migrate to the West where they have freedom and can live a productive and happier life.Unfortunately, extremism in the West is also on the rise lately. When it comes to war situation, reality is that majority of the affected Muslims migrate to other Muslim countries. Its only a small number which migrates to the West. And since West makes a lot of noise about it, so you feel like they are migrating to the West. For example, since the start of the soviet war, Pakistan has hosted over 1.5 million Afghan refugees, and this is only the official figure. Unofficial figure is higher. This has been the primary cause of the rise of the jihadists in Pakistan, coming from Afghanistan, trained to fight the Soviet armies. With Soviet armies gone, they brought their 'skills' to Pakistan UNHCR - PakistanSince the start of the Syrian conflicts, over 1.7 million refugees are living in Turkey as of last year. It is higher now. Syrian Refugees in Turkey: The Long Road AheadOver 2.1 million UN registered Syrian refugees are living in Egypt, Iraq and Jordan. UNHCR Syria Regional Refugee Response
How does it feel like to live in the Middle East?
OK then. Let me demonstrate the issue with this question, through photos. Here are pictures of different cities in the Middle East. Here is Istanbul:Here is Tehran:This is a picture of Dubai:You also have places like Sanaa’:Baghdad:The point is that all of these places are quite different and unique… That’s because the Middle East itself is massive:You will have modern cities, war stricken villages, farming towns, and various different forms of settlements across the Middle East. So the question is frankly wrong. It’s the same as asking: “For those who have lived in Europe, what is it really like?”
Why do feminists constantly ignore the women in the Middle East (the women suffering under the oppressive ideology of Islam)?
It’s called statecraft.Western feminism is targeting at white men. Only occasionally they would work together with white men to develop the narrative that Asian men suck and mistreat women. It’s a free pass that feminism grants to the white men because white men wouldn’t be satisfied apparently for the Western feminists ( the majority of them are white women) turn them down and cockblock them. Therefore in order to let feminism grow and become popular without necessarily pissing off white men, the western feminists would be on board with white men to make sure that in the propaganda Asian men are inferior such that Asian women due to this narrative would flow to the white men who would be satisfied and hence ease the tension with feminism. This is like a trading system. Asian women are “traded” up to the white men who have no alternative due to feminism and its by-products.Naturally, after feeding off white men, western/white feminists would start to develop their own taste on black men, Muslim men and of course prestigious and handsome type of middle class and above white men.Because of this demand, the western feminists would give a free pass to black men and Muslims men for whatever they do negatively. And white men aren’t necessarily pissed off because of the “compromise” and the benefit they obtain from Asian women.Of course, this also works another way around. I have a friend from Dubai. She told me that lots of local Dubai men cheat with Southeast Asian women and break up with their wives. She told me that some of the local women are very angry and hence discriminate Southeast Asian women for being “pussyblock”.I also once attended to watch a Chinese fight championship. I notice that the Chinese female models present there looked unpleasant about the presence of the white female models for gaining the extra attention from Chinese male audiences.Again, in the West, though I’m not paying attention to the women affairs (why would I?), I heard about some cases in which the white women and feminists were angry for Asian women or Russian women taking their white men.Eventually, I think men and women are just animals fed off full of desires. They need to find ways to release their animal natures. And it’s also like a business. Men and women are businessmen and businesswomen. And it’s also like politics. Men and women are politicians. Thus, for feminists, they can be in no exception. They would grant a free pass to a third party whenever they want.
Why do most Muslims prefer to live in non-Muslim countries than Arab Muslim countries?
Because Muslim countries are simply countries controlled by dictators and wealthy elites that have used religion as a means to legitimate their power over ignorant poor people. There is no sharia in the Quran. This state of affairs has been the state of affairs since the death of the prophet. There is no compulsion in religion. Being Muslim is a choice. Nobody should be forced to be Muslim. No Muslim should be forced to do anything by another Muslim other than what is in the Quran which is basically to not eat pork, feed the poor, pray, and fast and visit Mecca. We believe the Quran is the unadulterated word of God. There are more and more rational reasons for believing this being discovered everyday. Look up the mathematical structure of 19 in the Quran, phi in the Quran, or how the Quran contains information regarding the percentage of the earth’s surface covered by water. The book is covered in details that it would have been impossible for a human to know let alone hide in a book and not tell anyone 1400 years ago.The rest is stuff we believe because we have faith in the Sunnah or biography of the Prophet.I have no proof that any Hadiths are authentic. It is possible that they are all fabrications. I choose to believe that I have to pray 5 times a day in a certain way, my wife chooses to believe that she has to wear a hijab, we choose to believe that we should not play with interest either by lending or borrowing. The Quran is way bigger than Islam. Islam is simply a path that we take because we think trying to live like the prophet is the best way to apply Quranic teachings to your everyday life.Muslim countries are simply based on traditions of those people. The middle east has always been a backwards and violent place.Even the Quran tells us that the Arabs of the desert are the most likely to corrupt the religion.Look up verse 9:97I pray all the time that Muslims will start reading the book more. Most of the adults in the middle east over the age of 50 are illiterate.Believing that Muslim governments are Muslim is like believing Ted Cruz is a Christian.Only an idiot could even contemplate that idea for more than a few minutes.
