If My Husband Is Ex-military Can He Rejoin As A Staff Sergeant

Can sex offenders join the military?

Are you kidding me?

The answer is no. Your boyfriend was convicted or plead out to get the label sex offender. Not one branch of the US military will accept him.

In your last question you said he was convicted and labeled a sex offender for kissing a 13 year old girl. You are lying; he did entirely more to gain that label. Stop making excuses for him. Shame on you for having a child with him too.

Edit::: I am not a chick. I am a man. You better prepare to have this stigma attached to you for good if you stick with a sex offender. The state can even come in and contest his child being around him. Have fun when that happens. Now run on down to the welfare office; we all know you will end up there soon.

Whatever you say kiddo. You keep trying to convince all of us how smart you are and you are an author when you don’t even know the proper spelling for “you’re” and “tight”. I am so sure your book was a best seller with that grammar. Anyways, your father is wrong. CPS has denied and can deny access to the children of a sex offender. Stop lying to us. No man in his right mind would approve of his unmarried daughter having a child with a sex offender. So either your father is insane or you made him up, I suspect it is the last one. You also ask what we have done with our life? We have served our country. Something your pos boyfriend can never do. Enjoy being broke when he can't support you.

Edit: Ah shut up. You keep lying here. You initially said all he did was kiss the kid, now you are even insinuating he slept with the kid. You keep up the delusion your boyfriend is a good man. At first you wanted him to join, now that he can’t you are screaming “sour grapes”. You don’t know what that means. You should if you are an author.

Can i join the military if my husband is already in the Navy, yet I have a child by someone else what can I do?

If you are married, and join, no one cares who the babies father is. But yes, you can be military married to military with children. There are a lot of people like this.

If your husband divorces you BEFORE you join, and you are then officially a single parent, you can not join. A single parent can not enlist. What then needs to happen is this. You must give up full custody of the child for the first four years of your enlistment. You would have to go to court and give up full rights to the child. After four years, if you have been a good troop, you go back to court, and get custody back.

Edited: Monkey brings up a good point, you could get orders to different bases. Be prepared.

Jeepers you are so full of crap. Prove your point that a military spouse with a child can not enlist. Post a link to a regulation and copy and paste the paragraph.

Also, regaining custody of the child is EASY. Just paperwork. God jeepers your advice is horrible. Please go to the Gay and lesbian section where you belong.

Can you join the military if you are on probation?

NO

Actually there is a waiting period after probation, depends on the service your trying to join.

In the "good old days" it was either go to jail or go to the military.

Now, it's go to jail.

A background check is done at city, county and state level prior to you joining. You will NOT be allowed to join.

And if you were by some "fluke" to get in, once it was discovered (and it will be) you WILL be kicked out.

Can you join any branch of the military while pregnant?

If you want back in start talking to a recruiter about two or three months after you give birth if you're married (you can't join as a single parent unless somebody else has custody of your child). Regulation says there is a six month wait to enlist after giving birth. MEPS in some cases can give you a waiver and allow you to enlist as soon as after the completion of your second cycle if you're not lactating. Keep in mind that it's possible that you could have a problem getting in if the branch you are going to has restrictions on prior service at the time you try to join. For example, as of right now the active Army is only accepting prior service if they are already qualified in one of a dozen jobs. If they aren't qualified in any of those jobs the ONLY option they have is 18X but you won't be eligible for it being a female. This changes monthly, so by the time you're eligible you might be able to join. Reserves are a little different and it's based on open slots for the local units.

How do I join a PMC (Private military company)?

simply put if you were qualified to join one then you would know how to. look at this from a company's stand piont: they could either spend dozens of thousands of dollars training some kid off the streets who knows nothing about combat (and even after those dozens of thousands of dollars they're still getting someone who has never experienced it) or they can spend a few grand to get someone who's already trained and experienced and all they have to do is teach them their way of doing things.

Most PMCs (any of the reputable ones) wont even look at most applicants unless they have SOF experience or you've been on a swat team or the like. there are exceptions to this for tech-jobs and sometimes medics.

not to rain on your parade, but you were born a few years too late. even if you enlist today, ship out tomorrow, and make it through whatever SOF pipeline you're attempting, you still have atleast 4 years to serve...and we will most likely be out of afghan within the next 4 years. once that goes the need for PMCs will drop and they'll start downsizing just like Blackwater (current Xe) did once it lost its contracts.

jeepers: KBR (and the like) isnt a PMC...its a contractor company. PMCs are the companies that provide VIP, site, and convoy security in areas such as iraq and afghan. all that a PMC is is a PSC that is operating in a warzone or in a foreign hostile area. contractor companies are the ones who are doing laundry and running dfacs and what not. would you call your local dry cleaner a private security company? didnt think so...

Military men are jerks?

Hey- not all are...I'm an (ex) military man and I treat my wife like a princess....always have. We've never yelled, never had as much as a squabble, and I've never touched her except to hug or show affection...we're perfect together <3

I know what you mean though- I knew a lot of jerks when I was in the military- to the point of them wanting to go on temporary duty (TDY) so they could cheat on their wives :-( Made me sick....a lot of them are just violent in nature I guess so they join the military so they can act out their aggression...but not all of them.

Anyway, if he refuses counseling, you should go- even if you're not "at fault"....maybe he'll come around and join in. I'm not one to jump on the "leave him" bandwagon...I believe in working things out- unless there's NO possible way for it to work and/or he is abusing you- and that includes verbal abuse....there's no reason a woman needs to wait until they actually get hit before they can leave. Verbal abuse almost always leads to physical abuse at some point down the road...

If he's 100 % unwilling to work with you, he's obviously not committed to your marriage. Do you have kids ? That's something to take into account of course.

I wish you the best and I'm so sorry to hear this first for your sake; no woman should ever have to wonder if their hubby loves them :-( Secondly, it makes all men look bad and not all are (not saying I'm perfect by any means)....

Have a blessed evening :-)

At age 32 with a family, should I join the Marines or Army?

Since I am an Army Soldier (albeit a reservist now after doing four years active duty) you might want to consider that I may be biased.Being that you’re 32, more than likely your personal mentality is probably more concrete and less easily influenced than the majority of 18 year olds that you’ll be enlisting with and going to either Boot Camp or Basic Combat Training with. As long as you have a decent amount of common sense and are partially athletic, you’d probably be fine in either branch. However, through what I’ve noticed and conversations I’ve had with Marines is that they typically seek younger, impressionable recruits that are more easily molded into the Marine Corps mindset. Also, being an Army soldier, I can safely say on average the physical aspect of the training in the Marines is often more strenuous. But on the other hand, depending on what army unit you’re assigned to, you can expect to spend a lot more time training in the field than you would’ve in the Marines, but not all unit’s or MOS’s are created equal in that aspect.Whichever one you decide to join, unless you are set on being in a combat MOS, like infantry, artillery, combat engineer etc., consider choosing a support MOS like signal (like me!) or intelligence. Also many medical jobs (with the exception of combat medic) seem like pretty sweet gigs especially if you wind up working in a hospital or a clinic. If I were to go back in time, knowing what I know now, that’s probably the route I would take. Also, these fields have translatable job skills back in the civilian sector. Believe it or not, not a whole lot employers are looking for people that can drive an M1 Abrams, as awesome as it probably is.Also, you will most likely make rank in the Army faster, plus if you have a bachelor’s degree you will start of as an E4 in the army opposed to an E3 in the Marines. There’s also a good amount of bonus money floating around in the Army for particular MOS’s and I believe even potentially two year enlistments (always make shorter commitments if possible). I personally don’t pay too much attention to Marine recruiting incentives but similar programs may be in place.Overall, my second answer would be to join the Army. My first would be to join the Airforce!Whichever you choose, best of luck to you and your family.
