If The Reason For Nearly Everyone Dressing Like Clowns

What is the rock song that goes something like "everyone around me thinks im a clown" or something similar?

The only kind of rock song I know that has something similar to that is Oleander - Why I Am Here; the lyrics that are similar is when it says "everyone I know considers me a clown."

Oleander - Why I Am Here

It's the reason for my pain,
in a season to celebrate.
I don't wanna be full of hate.
for anybody, but it's too late-
Everyone has been in my face;
telling me that I'm a disgrace;
showing me things that I must face;
telling me that they need their space.

I can't love you anymore.
I'm scared of the sound of it.

It's the reason why I'm down.
I'm beaten, been pushed around.
Hit the ceiling without a sound.
Everyone I know considers me a clown

I can't love you anymore.
I'm scared of the sound of it,
and woman, I just don't want anymore.

I can't love you anymore. yeah-yeah, no no no
I'm scared of the sound of it,
and woman, I just don't want anymore.

It's the reason why I'm here.
It's the reason why I'm here.
It's the reason why I'm here.
It's the reason.

Are people who dress up as clowns and chase people capable of violent crimes?

Anyone is capable of committing a violent crime. It just needs a trigger to bring out that violence. Dressing up as a clown does not inherently increase or decrease the chances of a crime. However, people who believe they are less visible (if they are less likely to be identified, like if they are wearing face paint to disguise what they look like) are more likely to commit crimes. It's called deindividusation theory….

Why are people dressing up as clowns?

Depends on the person and situation. Some are dressing as clowns because it’s their profession and part of their attire just like a police officer, fireman or doctor wears a uniform.Others may be dressing up as clowns because there may be a clown convention in your area, circus or perhaps a themed party or event.Now if you are referring to those who’ve decided to jump on the melodramatic creepy clown bandwagon, who really knows why? Perhaps it’s because they feel the need to be part of this awful hoax and hysteria, or they are sociopaths. Could be because they find it all funny and have perhaps the desire to become arrested or possibly assaulted, shot or even killed. As I said before, who really knows why people do some of the things they do? Whatever it is, one thing is certain, it’s anomalous!With Halloween approaching some people find interest in dressing as a clown, but it by no means they are a professional clown or even understand the history and artistry of clowning. But if it pops their cork, I say go for it as long as there in no malicious intent behind their costume choice.Since this creepy clown “trend” that began near the end of August and manifested into an out of control situation, with social media hype, there are many people in various cities that are gathering in solidarity to dress in non-creepy clown garb and walk the streets in protest to the demented folk that have decided to create and fuel a negative aspect of clowns.One thing that’s important to remember is that they’re all people in costume, people being people and doing what they prefer to do be it negative or positive. As Halloween approaches there will be millions of people dressing in all types of costumes but nevertheless, they will still be people under it all.

Does anyone like clowns?

Millions, if not billions, of people worldwide. Clowns are a worldwide phenomenon that cross cultures. Virtually every group, nation, etc. has their clowns. For example, who likes:Three StoogesLaurel and HardyAbbott and CostelloThe Marx BrothersThe Carol Burnett Shownot to mention the traditional circus clowns. For example, on the 4th of July my family went to Circus World in Baraboo, Wisconsin and everyone laughed at Steve and Ryan, two of the funniest people I’ve ever seen. They were hilarious in the circus ring in clown makeup, and hilarious out of makeup in their “Nothing but Nonsense” show.I suppose the better question would be: what’s wrong with people who don’t like clowns? :o)

Do you generally like clowns, why or why not?

Really skilled clowns are great. People who really understand comic timing and physical comedy and have real talent in the area are genuinely entertaining. People take clowning really seriously and are gifted body comics in the style of Buster Keaton. Yay for them.But people who just put on some make up and wear silly shoes and then expect laughs are really draining. Sure you can do a slightly silly walk while wearing ill fitting clothes but when I don't laugh and that's all you've got then things get awkward. Oh and here's a thing: don't think that just because you've put a costume on you've got some right to invade my 3 year old's personal space in public. I'm 40 and I'd freak out if some guy in cheap make up suddenly thrust his face an inch from my nose. The fact that my son cried when you did it is a perfectly normal human reaction to a sudden invasion of space by a weird looking person. Don't do this again.

Why do girls look like clowns with so much make up on?

Some girls just like make up in general and like to experiment with it. Some have low self-esteem and by wearing make up it boosts their confidence. It could be because of maturity. When I was in middle school and the beginning of high school I would overdose on make up lol I would experiment on all different sorts, just because I was curious as to what looked good on me and what didn't. Now I'm almost 18 and wear very little make up and am starting to just accept the way I look. Everyone has their reasons.

If people are scared of clowns why are they still so common?

Very few people are actually frightened of clowns. I speak from 20 years of experience as a professional clown. In that time, I’ve met two people who were truly frightened of clowns. Here’s the story of one of them:I arrived at a birthday party for a group of eight year olds, in costume but no makeup. I typically do this when performing for younger children, and put a simple version of my makeup on in front of them, so they see that there’s nothing scary. When I told them that I was about to do that, one young man ran and locked himself in the bathroom! I went and talked to him through the door - he wasn’t afraid of me, but he was afraid of clowns in makeup. I asked him if it would be okay if I put on my red nose, and no other makeup. He opened the door, said “Okay,” took my hand and we went out to the living room where I put on my regular show - with just my clown nose as makeup. At the end, he gave me an enormous hug and thanked me.There’s a couple points to this story:Fear can prevent you from something really wonderful.Overcoming fear can open doors and opportunities.Very few people are actually frightened of clowns, despite Hollywood’s best efforts.True clowns are joy bringers - whenever I’m out in the public “in clown” I get smiles and friendly waves from almost everyone.One final, serious point: clowns are common, because they fill a basic human need. We need to laugh, and smile, and enjoy life. Clowns help us do that.I’ve written an article for clowns, on how to avoid an atmosphere of fear - you might want to read it as well.

Why do people no longer dress nicely when traveling, and do you dress yourself nicely when traveling?

I used to work as a flight attendant. I received the privilege (not right) of airline travel benefits. In order to utilize them I needed to dress business casual. I always wore a tucked in button-up shirt or polo with khaki pants and nice dress shoes.Sometimes, I received free upgrades to business or first class seats from economy. The gate agent would call my name for me to come to the gate. They'd give me the head to toe look over, rip up my economy ticket and place me in business or first.After leaving the airline industry, I continued to keep up the practice of dressing business casual. I would sometimes receive free exit row seats and upgrades from economy.My best story involved flying from Chicago O'hare to Tokyo-Narita on All Nippon Airways (ANA). I was upgraded for free to business class. On my return flight, I was upgraded for free to premium economy. It's basically business class without the on-board restaurant feature.Pro Tip: Dress business casual and treat the gate agent with respect.Update: I don't simply dress nice to receive upgrades. I nicely make a request to the gate agent for an exit row seat at the departure gate for the flight. I am usually told to wait. I let them know that I appreciate them looking out for me and I completely understand if they cannot accommodate my request. Then, I patiently wait. Usually, I receive an exit row seat or better. It's not just the clothes!

Why do black people dress like clowns (gold in teeth, pants around their ***, one pantleg up, etc)?

Not all blacks or like this. I'm glad that some do though. It makes it easier to point out the people with no mind of their own, just like the people with bug eyed sunglasses and tribal tattoos.

Eminem (musician): What does “I just hide behind the tears of a clown” means ?

If you try and understand this line all on it's own, it might be difficult but if you relate it too the previous line, the picture becomes a lot clearer!"Ha! Marshall you're so funny man, you should be a comedian, goddamn!"Unfortunately I am, I just hide behind the tears of a clown'The previous line (as heard in the song) is depicted to be spoken by another person (change of voices, though still em's voice, but, changed), and it says he should be a comedian, and that he is very funny, to which em replies, 'UNFORTUNATELY' he is! Which means that, although he considers himself to be a comedian, but he is not very happy with that fact!'Tears of a clown' is a figure of speech which generally means putting up a stronger (or different) self! Putting up a smiling face even in a time when you can be all wrapped up in problems of your own. Like the clown itself, who puts on a smiling face to entertain others, no matter what he is going through inside. That is what this part means in a nutshell, Eminem put's on a face that he wants to show to the world, to entertain the mass, no matter what he goes through inside! Hope this helps!Thanks for A2A!Cheers!
