Why should we pay taxes to the government?
Okay let me say why you shouldWhy should government spend money on defence, army and navy? Why they are buying equipment that cost billions of dollars? And protect us every single minute?Why should government lay roads and tracks for trains?Why should government build hospitals, schools, enterprises?Why should government subsidizing through various scheme?Why should government have pension scheme, child care scheme, education scheme etc? Why should not corporate do this 100%? Why govt is doing this?Why should government borrow funds? For what purpose they are using this money? Why should it pay by itself?Why should government help through funds when there is natural disaster happens?Why should government introduce startup india, make in india, promoting entrepreneurship why can't private company do this?Why should government give loan waiver for farmers? So who will pay the money to banks?Why should government offer jobs through its public enterprises?Why should government have reservation system? In all most all the field?If there is no reservation most of the poor people will die poor. One set of people would be neglected. One generation will die without opportunity. Do you think corporate will take care of them?Government creates opportunity for every single human being.Think.!More points are not written by me.Government doesn't take your money. Some way it reaches you more than what you have paid as tax.

Why should Americans pay taxes if the government is misusing the money?
however, what you might consider morally wrong to spend tax money on may not be considered morally wrong by someone else. what taxpayer's views win out? I think we can all agree that government at all levels horribly misspends OUR hard earned tax dollars because the thieves who get elected are only interested in enriching themselves & donors; the hell with the average American.
Should the government tax people more or less?
Less! Much much less, as little as they possibly need to in order to maintain a suitable national defence force and to uphold the law. Everything else should be left to smaller local hierarchies to manage for their communities.And in comment to other answers to this post relating to the richer paying more tax than the poor, may I plead that you consider the moral as well as the economic implications of this policy, which is prevalent in many countries the world over and which causes more damage than you might think. Every individual should pay the same rate of tax, regardless of what they earn - we should all be treated the same if we are truly to live in a fair society. Economically, if you take more from the rich than the poor, the rich are less inclined to spend their wealth where it counts, since they need to hold on to more money in order to compensate for their ridiculous tax contribution.The "distribution of wealth" happens naturally when not meddled with by over eager governments.
Why do we pay taxes???
Everyone pays taxes in one form or another- mostly income and sales taxes. But why do we pay these taxes? There are many services offered to citizens that could not be managed effectively under any other system. The federal government uses your tax dollars to support Social Security, health care, national defense and social services such as food stamps and housing. Services provided by taxes in South Carolina are public schools, safe highways, health care, prisons and social services for low-income citizens. The city or county where you live provides water and garbage service, police and fire protection and also contributes to public schools. We can all admit that these services are necessary. But why must they be paid for with taxes? Why shouldn't we just pay individually for what we use? The answer is simple: Because no one could afford it. Each person would have to pay the full fee for the service regardless of their ability to pay. Our tax system is based on our "ability to pay." The more money we earn, the more taxes we pay. And the opposite is also true. If we earn a small income, we pay less taxes. The govt. needs us DUHH
Why do the liberals want a Government that punishes success and rewards failure?
And it's answers like realevent that push it to the extreme... Basic economics is lost on most Libs. That's because they want to survive on handouts and entitlement programs. RLP said nowhere that we all should not pay taxes. But, the Libs think that a "fair share" is what? 70% like in the Carter administration? Said it before and I'll say it again... Thank God for Rush, Sean, Laura, Glenn and many others - without them, we'd only have the Liberally slanted mainstream media to "listen" to. What is totally being lost on this (and CNN, FOX and MSNBC - two of which are liberally biased) have ALL BLOWN THE WHISTLE ON THE PORKULUS PACKAGE!!!! The more the people see what's in a 1000 page bill that was rammed thru in the middle of the night, the more that it doesn't pass the smell test. Well, I for one, LOVE the fact that Obama's legacy will be defined by this "bi-partisan" attempt at. The GOP was blocking NOTHING. They simply realize that the term BILLION, actually means something. Let's look at the damn thing and make sure it's the right thing to do. Apparently, that miniscule amount means nothing to entitlement expecting, generational welfare needing, Liberals. Barack railed against Bush when he used the "Politics of fear" in October when Bush said we needed to act fast and pass the TARP. Now, he's using even harsher language than Bush did, and what do we do? Give him a free pass. After all, you don't question the Messiah.

Why should I pay toll tax even when I am paying my taxes to the government?
Taxes are not the substitute for toll tax. Different types of taxes are levied with different purpose. Being a citizen of India you need to pay taxes & show your national feeling, which you are doing. But by paying tax, you are not absolved of other responsibilities.Toll is for specific purpose and for using a particular road for limited time. It is paid by the users. Neither it can be imposed on all citizens not charges of specific road can be recovered from all.Moreover, if taxes were to cover such charges, the tax slab will move upward further, which can't be borne by an individual. Moreover, by simply paying tax, you can't claim everything free, like you will say about traveling by train which is owned by Government.Toll tax is in the form of charges and has to be paid for using the service.
