Is "Spoiled" a positive word or negative word? Describing someone?
Negative. It means the person is given whatever they want and usually don't appreciate it. A spoiled person is usually ungrateful.
Everyone always comments on how all of my poems are depressing. How do I write something happier?
Sad poems are usually therapeutic… for the poet. Try writing when you’re feeling good about something. Look for happy subjects… children, nature, Christmas… and write about how they make you feel. When you see a butterfly on a pretty flower… or the lights on the Christmas Tree… or you hear a beautiful song.Don’t stop writing the others, if it makes you feel better to write them. But you may find that happier poetry makes you feel happier too.Read some Billy Collins poetry. I love his work.

What is constructive criticism?
Constructive criticism on a piece gives the author advice on what to improve on. It gives ideas on what to improve on, so the critic can help the author "construct" a better piece. Ex. negative criticism: This piece was boring and badly written. That doesn't give the author advice about what to improve on. Ex. constructive criticism: This piece used the passive voice a lot; I would reccomend changing the sentences to active voice. That tells the author what the critic didn't like, and how the critic thinks the author should improve. This makes the criticism much more useful. I hope I helped!

How do I handle people who constantly demotivate me and shoot down my dreams while having none of their own?
A) Fuck the hatersI had to swear here. Negative people make me furious. Do you know how many times I've heard: "you shouldn't do that", "it just won't work", "you're going to embarrass me". I would always put in 110% to make sure I could show them up. Never EVER let someone out work you. EVER. As long as you keep going, you'll always win.B) Turn their negativity into fuel. Prove them wrong. Life isn't always motivating you to do your best. The movies like to do these inspiring montages of the bits where the downtrodden main character works really hard to become successful. They usually last about 90 seconds. In reality, it's the slowest and most painful part. Stop waiting for the montage. Work smart. Work hard. Be passionate. Be inspired. Have a vision. Have a dream. See E. C) Stop hanging out with these peopleLet me be pretentious for a second and quote myself: Prune relationships that aren't bring any positivity to your life.People who are negative are only making your life that much harder. Embrace positivity. Stop talking about other people. Gossip is the worst way to get in the shit. A strong and positive support group makes life so much easier.I'll give it to you straight: Stop hanging out with such shit people. Find people who have the same interests as you. They should be smarter and more ambitious than you are. This will encourage you to to grow.D) The only time in you're life that you should be "down to earth", is when you're in the grave. We live for 80 years. 90 if we're lucky. Did you hear me? Let me break that down for you. Take away all the hours you sleep, all the hours you're studying, work and travel. The average person has like 10 years to make an actual difference. Then they're gone. Never to be remembered again. 90% of people don't seem to understand that. The problem: People love security so much, they sacrifice their own freedom for it. Freedom has now become a burden. Don't be one of these people. Be crazy. It's the only way you can change the world. E) Have vision. Look to the future. Set a benchmark. What do you need to get there in one piece? Are the people you're hanging out with now a pivotal part of this vision. If not, discard of them. Find new friends. There are 8 billion people on Earth.
