Cant remmemember the name of a TV series abck in the 90's?
It was a Scifi TV series made for children I think, but contained advanced concepts in science that are used today. It is a detective like story featuring teenagers all round the world connected to the headquaters via satellite communication. There is a device that looks like a notebook and it can be opened and when an aeriel is unfolded these teenagers can talk to the headquaters somewhat similar to modern video conferencing. The headquaters is a well hidden unsuspicious large house with a high tech computer room that is equiped with a very large screen to communicate with the team. All team members have the device I explained earlier.And use i to update the headquaters. These teenagers along with a scientist uncle ( I think he designed the whole thing for them) help prevent crime. The whole story is well supported with gadgets of various kind. I remember one device that uncle made that could scan and see through the wall. please inform if you know the tv series.

The Naked Truth was a 1995-1998 American television sitcom starring Téa Leoni and co-starring Holland Taylor. The show took place at the office of a tabloid news publication. The series originally began on ABC. However, ABC canceled the series after a single season. The series was picked up starting at the second season by NBC. New cast members, as well as a general retolling of the show away from its tabloid settings, occupied its second incarnation. However, the series was never a commercial success, and lasted two seasons on NBC before being canceled permanently. The show appears in syndication in some markets.
When I was a very young kid a friend of my Dad’s allowed the mob to launder money through his service station. Easy money he said. Dad started avoiding him. The place was not empty but the owner was under more and more stress. Eventually the mob had rung him out of every cent so they dumped him. His service station went from huge profits on the books to nothing over night. The guy moved his family out of town and we never saw him again.There was a tavern about a block from my childhood home that was rumored to be a mob money laundering business. A couple of people at the bar, a couple of people having dinner, yet they made a huge profit. Almost as many on staff as customers. The food was wonderful, for a kid in high school at least.I went away to college and military. A decade later I visited home and went down the block for a beer. I ordered a pitcher. I got a pitcher of Molson Red. I handed the bartender a 20. When he gave me my change I said he’d counted it wrong.“You’re not from around here, are you?” It was like being in a movie. “Actually I grew up a block over, but I have been in Los Angeles for a decade”. I took the 10 back and left the 1s as his tip. Yep, the place still looked to be with the mob. Selling import beer near cost.Sure enough a couple more years later boom the place went broke. From huge profits on the books to nothing over night. It was the same pattern I’d seen as a kid. No proof just that same pattern. It’s an Optician or something now.
