If You Cut Off An Infant

Is it illegal to shut off water and electricity with an infant in the house? How do i set it up?

No that isn't true they are not legally obligated to keep your water or electricity on bc you have a baby if you do not pay your bill. Most electric companies do have a policy where they choose not to shut off someone's electricity during the winter months if that is your heat source.

Call your local trustee or community action program. Sometimes there are local churches that will help too.

I bought some baby spinach....do I have to cut the stems off?? Feeling lazy??

I always leave the stems on. They are nice and crunchy when raw, and add texture when cooked-otherwise, you end up with a green mass of mush.

Am I allowed to cut baby hair off my hairline?

I have the same problem. DO not cut them they will just grow back sticking straight up and will really annoy you then. style your and then spray hairspray on a brush and brush your baby hairs down. They will grow eventually but until they do use hairspray to keep them sitting where you want them to. I hate the sticky feeling of hairsprays and gel i only use them on my baby hair i use finesse hairspray it works and it does not weigh your hair down or leave it feel sticky.

Beauty help! Cut off my baby hair...?

When I was younger, I was really insecure about my baby hair (little short hairs that stick out at hairline. I always compared my hairline to those that had no baby hairs and wanted to have the same kind of hair. Obviously I wasn't thinking this through and ended up cutting my baby hair off. That was years ago,,, and I would continue to cut it off whenever it would grow back. Years later I'm still having to do this because I don't have the guts to let it grow back and become ever worse that it originally was. I regret doing this so much but I was probably 13 o 14 at the time. Yes, I know it was stupid. And yes I care about how I look (stated the obvious because it seems like a lot of people on yahoo answers add in their rude comments this way).

After trying to cut it off for years, I can imagine I probably cut hair that wasn't even baby hair to begin with accidentally moving my hairline back...

I know Kim Kardashian has said to have had her baby hair removed through laser.. is that safe?
I'm considering getting front bangs and letting the baby hairs grow, but considering I have been cutting a part out, wouldn't there be a space in the bangs? please help!

I was considering getting bangs, but I'm not sure how they would look on me.

Can the electric company cut off your power if you have a newborn baby in the house?

In addition to the temperature preventing you from cut off, if you are on oxygen in order to breathe, in many states you can't be cut off. Also, if you call and make a payment arrangement or a promise to pay, some companies will work with you as long as you are making an effort.

What should be the cut-off age for breastfeeding children?

Short Answer - None!Long Answer - WHO recommends breastfeeding for up to 2 years AND BEYOND. Humans were biologically designed to nurse until their baby teeth - Milk Teeth - fall out. At this time (between ages 5–7) the jaw changes shape and children can no longer latch properly.Breast milk NEVER loses its nutritional value. In fact the child's saliva interacts with the mother’s body to produce a perfectly tailored milk cocktail for the child. Studies have shown that when a mother nurses an older child on one breast, and an infant on the other breast, the milk from each breast will be different. When a child is sick, the mother's body will begin to produce the proper antibodies to fight the illness. It will do so long before the child may show any symptoms; and if Mom gets sick, the child will be given the antibodies to fight it off before ever catching it.It is a living active food. It is all a child needs for at least 1 year, and introduction of solid foods is suggested to start between 6 months - after 1 year. Not to mention the benefits for mom. Postpartum healing, the release of feel good hormones, decreases chances of postpartum depression (which can occur years after having a baby), decreases chances of breast cancer (the longer you breastfeed the less likely). It also has so many developmental and emotional benefits for children. Studies have shown that children who breastfeed typically feel more supported and safe, and are therefore more comfortable with Independence. The bond between mother and child is a powerful thing. We are the only mammals who force our children to wean, which is odd because humans are born less developed than most mammals. Studies of chimpanzees and nursing behaviors also add proof to the fact that we wean far too early. This is the first time I've ever written anything on Quora. I'm too lazy to link anything, but Kelly Mom and Le Leche League are both great resources with scientific peer reviewed research. Unfortunately, there are few studies on breastfeeding past the age of 2, because until recently, breastfeeding research wasn't considered important - especially Natural Term - and since our culture tends to sexualise breasts, the support for studies is lacking. But I am a Natural Term Breastfeeding Advocate. I nurse my 3 year old and will continue to do so until she or I am ready to stop. She is healthy, advanced, independent, attends preschool.

Why do they cut your baby's feet when they're born?

You know, honestly, I had my son almost 2 years ago and it was such a whirlwind day that I don't remember if they told me what they were doing and what the test was for. They in all likelihood did, and I just don't remember. I had a C-section that day and there was so much going on that my head was spinning.

If you chop off the tip of a baby's finger, will it grow back?

No. I am proof of this. I lost part of my right index finger at an early age, 17 months. It is still not there, and I am 60 now.
