Okay, so I sent a message to someone that I am pretty sure they did not read yet, but I do NOT want them to read it because I made a mistake. Is there any way that I can get the whole message deleted? I tested it with my sisters facebook and she could still see the message in her inbox, even after I deleted it out of my sent messages.

No. No way. Even if you deactivate your account. But.. There is a way to delete your messages.. you can get your account deleted by FB. You have to sent in a request tho. But that's only if you're super serious and plus.. it will take some time, no doubt ur boyfriend will read ur msg first.

Solution is here: I was facing exactly same problem as yours. I have sent a message wrong person and i wanted to delete it. But, if i delete that message then it will empty only my inbox but not recipient inbox. That means recipient will able to see that message.Solution 1: After sending the message report that message as spam. Most of the time it will not receive other person inbox folder.Solution 2: Deactive your facebook account for 3–4 hours.I will suggest follow both process if you have serious issue with that message. If you follow those 2 step then other person will not receive your message.

Hi. When you press send, the very first thing is that the message gets a circle next to it. It is an empty circle, showing that you have pressed send only. That’s stage 1.A split second later, usually, it gets a tick inside the circle showing that the message has been received by the server. Stage 2.Then the message gets sent to the persons phone and once delivered, the circle turns solid, or filled in. Stage 3.Then, when the person has read the message the icon turns to a miniature version of their Facebook profile picture. Stage 4.So, if you press delete when there is the first icon, an empty circle, the message has not reached the server and that is that, deleted, nobody will see it.If you press delete after this when the icon is an empty circle with a tick in it, the message was delivered to the server but not sent to the persons phone, so that’s it, message deleted, nobody will see it.If you press the message once it has turned solid, then at that stage, it has been delivered to the persons phone, so you can only delete it at your end, but it will stay on their phone unread until they read it. So they will see it if you deleted at this point or any time after.So you need to be very quick , or in some cases when the signal quality, whether at your end or theirs, is bad, you get more time. I've seen the messages remain undelivered, and therefore deletable, for more than 5 minutes.Hope that helps.
