If You Figuered Out The Meaning Of Life

I figured out the meaning of life, has anyone else?

i can't stress the importance of this enough; Fly agaric mushrooms, even if you have to store them in the dog box with the pancakes and the bicycle parts.

Did you figure out the meaning of your life?

It’s a complex problem that has baffled philosophers and intellectuals for centuries. But if we look deeper, we realize that the answer is quite simple. Think of your most fundamental instinct. They are -SurvivalProcreationThis basically boils down to food and sex. And that’s also the things we enjoy most. But now you realize the problem in my argument. There are many other things which give us joy, everything that give us joy doesn’t come down to food and sex, and is looking for joy really the meaning of life in the first place.Let’s look at the question from another perspective. Let’s talk about the ultimate purpose of life. What do you want in life - money, success, happiness? These things makes your life pretty easy, but your death, not so much. Plus when you have something to lose, you’ll always be afraid to lose it. What you want in life is something that makes your life better in every situation. Clear your mind, think, and you’d realize this is what we are looking for -PeaceIt’s a very abstract thing to say. And that’s why it’s so hard to understand. There is no absolute way to find peace and even the meaning of peace varies from person to person. Most spiritual teachers talk about attainment of peace. They talk about overcoming our inner turmoil and attainment of inner clam. Can we really achieve it? No.Can we go close enough? Yes.One very important thing we thus need to achieve is health. Without physical and psychological health we can never achieve inner peace. And because everything is relative, meaning health can also mean different for different people, a personal fine tuning is required. To summarize,We must try to achieve inner peace, eat good food and have great sex, while maintaining our physical and mental health by optimizing the way we live.

Have you figured out the meaning of your life and how has knowing what it is fulfilled you?

Many years ago while reading the gospel of John ,"On that day you will know that I am in my Father ,he is in me and I am in you ".(John 14:20). I realize he is my source for being alive , the creator of this universe is seated in my heart . The power that came upon me is indescribable ,so liberating ,like walking on a sandy beach on a warm summer morning .    The band U2 has a song entitled ,"I still haven't found what I have been looking for". For me .I have and everything comes into focus.   For my meaning for life is to walk with God ! Adventure is grand.

I think I have figured out the meaning of life...?

This afternoon I spent forty five minutes gazing at the sun. As the light poured into my retinas, I felt as though I were the receptacle for a influx of divine energy. A compelling force within me cried out to burn away my earthly vision so I might see aright the things of spirit. I thought for a moment that I should put out my eyes and cast them into the dust from whence they came.

After all, "if thy right hand offends thee, cut it off." My eyes have lead me into nothing but falsehood and delusion. It's as though I have been blind my entire life without even knowing it. I have seen nothing but illusion: Fleshy sensory motor objects with simple location, causally connected to changes in their spatial environment and endowed with mass.

Then in a moment of ecstatic revery, I heard the voice of God booming in my temporal lobe. He spoke with such compassion and tenderness that I knew that life had meaning, I would never again be alone. Afterwords I felt compelled to share my revelation. God said to me:

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Could this be the meaning of life? That god will never abandon us and that we are never alone? Forever cosseted in a warm envelope of compassion, as though yet unborn?

What would happen if we discovered the meaning of life?

The meaning of life, or the answer to the question "What is the meaning of life?", pertains to the significance of living orexistence in general. Many other related questions include "Why are we here?", "What is life all about?", and "What is the purpose of existence?" or even "Does life exist at all?" There have been a large number of proposed answers to these questions from many different cultural and ideologicalbackgrounds. The search for life's meaning has produced much philosophical, scientific, theological, and metaphysical speculation throughout history. The meaning of life as we perceive it is derived from our philosophical and religious contemplation of, and scientific inquiries about existence, social ties, consciousness, and happiness. Many other issues are also involved, such as symbolic meaning, ontology, value, purpose, ethics, good and evil, free will, the existence of one or multiple gods, conceptions of God, the soul, and the afterlife. Scientific contributions focus primarily on describing related empirical facts about theuniverse, exploring the context and parameters concerning the "how" of life. Science also studies and can provide recommendations for the pursuit of well-being and a related conception of morality. An alternative, humanistic approach poses the question, "What is the meaning of my life?"

Has anyone ever thought that they've figured out the meaning of life?

Yes, me!Lots of times in my life, I thought that I’ve figured out the meaning of life (for myself and everyone else) only to later realise that I’ve been wrong. The more you delve into philosophy or mysticism, the further down the rabbit hole you go, the more you realise that whatever explanation you can come up with for the meaning of life can and will only apply to some people some of the time.In other words if it’s optional, then it’s not compulsory and if it’s not compulsory it cannot possibly be the meaning of life.In the end you settle for the fact that the meaning of your life is dependent upon the responsibilities that you hold. To find meaning is to find responsibilities that you enjoy.Life in it’s abstractness is utterly meaningless and God (if he exists) by extension must also be a being that has an equally meaningless existence, who in creating the universe has given himself meaning via responsibilities. As above so below.

What is the meaning of life? I still couldn't figure it out.

My view is that technically, life is a period of existence, but what matters is the awareness of that existence. There’s an operating system, loaded at conception, which includes the core that keeps us alive. The core is unimportant, since without its operation all the problems go away. At night the  system is running in the background on standby, doing maintenance and housekeeping, filing dreams away and the like.It reboots just before we wake, triggered by any of a number of stimulants, and it runs the main program , called ‘I’ (not Me). This preloads all egoist (not egotist) data and reminds us who we are.Immediately this completes, it runs the ‘Me Filter’ app, which introduces awareness and tells us we are already late. From then on, the Me Filter is in the foreground, assessing priorities, dangers, relative morality and their effects on and within the environment - our environment. This is not selfish, it’s vital and is just above instinct level. After that we make our decisions based largely on their effect on us. Experience tells us that there are others in the world and we learn to interact. We keep our eyes open for new apps as they become available. There’s a lot of malware about and some of it affects us and some does not. The strength and effectiveness of our antivirus software can make all the difference, and basically we decide whether or not to load it.It’s not quite as simple as that, but make sure you keep on loading the updates that your Me Filter  thinks matter.

How did you finally figure out life?

A2A - How did you finally figure out life? You have a fundamental obligation to yourself to discover the purpose for your existence and to fulfill that purpose, if possible.Discovering your purpose comes through daily meditation and prayer, and from following these rules:1. Know yourself. 2. Do what is best for your soul. 3. Leave the rest up to God. These rules are profoundly simple, yet more difficult than you can ever imagine. Many never come to fully understand even the first one. And try though you must, how do you do what is best for your soul, if you do not know yourself in the first place? Finally, leaving the rest up to God? To place yourself in God’s Hand and accept His will over your own will? It would be easier to move a mountain for some people. And while these three rules are a process, they are also a simultaneous endeavor. It is not a matter of waiting to finish one to start the next. They are accomplished by hard work at all three at once and together, working in harmony. For more, read my book, Evidence of Falsehood: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M3M...

Who thinks they can figure out what this means?

'Therefore wisdom is a more precious thing even than philosophy ;'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy

'Origin
The term philosophy comes from the Greek word Φιλοσοφία (philo-sophia), which means "love of wisdom." If one were to ask the ancient Greeks for the meaning of "wisdom", their answers would have dwelt on virtue, the quest for genuine knowledge, and the eradication of false opinions. However, the term is notoriously difficult to define today (see definition of philosophy) because of the diverse fields of study to which it has been popularly applied. '

'from it spring all the other virtues, for it teaches that we cannot live pleasantly without living wisely, honorably, and justly; nor live wisely, honorably, and justly without living pleasantly. For the virtues have grown into one with a pleasant life, and a pleasant life is inseparable from them.'

Wisdom is defined and identified by its results. The wise include honorable and virtuous concepts as subject of mind in mind.

Equating wisdom with happiness is a finite knowledge less than the finite reality. Equating wisdom with pleasant character is an individualism or opinion which excludes different personal contingent conditions coloring perception. The guidance of principles is the wisdom for action to changing contingent conditions. 'Pleasant' is not an absolute as change presents not one absolute, but an infinite number. However, Peace is of Good, and Good is of you. So what is it of Good today that guides your actions. Which of Good is the correct good for this moment. It must be something of human essence, but that is the universal Good (Love), but which of the specific, individual act is possibly and correctly for good. Which is right judgement gives good future, if wrong, then wrong.
